After having some good experiences with their wired on ear headsets I bought some CX True Wireless headphones around 8 months ago which from the outset were less good than my partner's cheaper brand wireless headphones.
The sound was superior on mine, but every other aspect was worse. Big and bulky container, limited info on remaining battery life and basic functionality.
That was disappointing, but I consoled myself with the good sound quality. That was until they started to break down after only a couple of months. First it was losing sound in one or the other ear, which was fixed by a reset. Then it was randomly dropping connection to my phone for no obvious reason. These things happened a number of times until finally one of the headphones gave out completely and I could not get it started again.
At this point I just wanted my money back, but there was no clear way to do this, so I sent the headphones back to Sennheiser to see what they would do. I hoped they would just write them off and reimburse me, but alas t'was not to be.
Over 4 months later I finally recieved my headphones back after a comically long wait and shockingly poor communications.
I have my headphone back, that I have long since replaced with a cheaper and more reliable set, but I would have rather had my money back.
Do not buy Sennheiser products. I certainly won't do so again.
Got a Momentum 4 headset directly from Sennheiser, three months later the bluetooth function stops working. Sennheiser support tells me that it has to be replaced and tells me to send it to Cycleon Returns in Eindhoven. It's been two months now, and Sennheiser won't give me an update on the progress, not even whether my my headset actually arrived or when I can expect it back. For a 300 euro headset and a company like Sennheiser, the service has been terrible, considering I have only been able to use my expensive headset for 3 out of 5 months I bought it... About to seek out my options to just get my purchase returned.
No service after buying a 1999 euro headphone.
Bought a 1999 euro headphones (the HD820). Only a few months old. Splendid stuff, really. However, the right earpad comes off because it's shape is not entirely correct. I produced evidence and asked for a new earpad. Here it comes: they want me to send the full headphones and everything back to see if I'm eligible for a new earpad, that costs 45.50 euro in their store and which cost price is obviously a lot lower than that. Like: wasn't 1999 euro enough to pay for this?
They want me to package this whole thing, go to the post office, mail it and then wait for weeks until I *may* get a new earpad from them.
Here's a tip. When someone buys a 1999 euro headphone and asks for a dirt-cheap earpad several months after this investment, just send the damned earpad. How difficult can it be?
