Shocking website cant order from local store ..never met such a shambles - from log in to ordering - store says in stock deliver 2 days , website out of stock and doesnt list local store. So many builders merchants in Chelmsford and spending 2K but not here - need to sort their act out ..oh and their website...AVOID

I’m buying building materials from 8 years never had any problems prices are competitive with other builders and timed delivery, lorries with cranes to reach at nearest place near site. Staff is always helpful and friendly

As a new customer with very little DIY knowledge or experience I visited the store twice in two days and on both occasions the staff that served me could not have been more helpful to assist me in finding the correct items I needed. The order was delivered the next morning in perfect condition with all items that were expected. The delivery driver gave notice of arrival via text and was very careful and helpful with delivering the items where required. Would definitely reccomend.

Nothing was to much trouble and so so very helpful right through to completing my order
I have ordered on line before but got to say you just can’t beat face to face good old fashioned service
And the delivery driver also was so very helpful on delivery

I justed wanted to say that the Catford brance Selco went above and beyond to help me secure my order on the day I really needed it. Even though the items were not in there store. Elliot rang around to get them from another store and and made sure the delivery would get to me in time. Thank you Catford Selco and their top employer Elliot

Selco are sos so helpful . I went to their Isleworth store for people’s and ballast .
As I cannot lift due to disability , the agent called Josh Alex to come and help
Me . He was brilliant , courteous, and kind .
He even put the goods in my car . Absolutely marvellous .

I had a small problem with bags of Cotswold Stone. The 2nd bag was contaminated with tarmac. I had a little grumble and Eileen organised a replacement second bag. Very well handled.

Excellent service from the Peterborough branch. Nick, the delivery driver, was friendly, professional, and delivered everything with care. The whole team were helpful and gave me all the information I needed. The products arrived in perfect condition, and I’m very happy with the service. I will definitely use Selco again in the future. I had an issue that my bath from Selco , it had been delivered, installed and tiled before the film was removed to discover that the bath had two significant cracks in it.
I raised my concerns with the plumber and Selco and Selco immediately offered a replacement bath, but needed the other bath returned, the plumber said he would charge me £250 to remove the damaged bath and £250 to reinstall the new bath, so another £500! The plumber suggested it would be more cost effective to repair in situ, I used a company called bath glaze and as a goodwill gesture Selco picked up the bill for the repair, really going the extra mile to positively resolve a difficult situation.

Very poor online service put order in all available then message me day before delivery not available , nothing offered in exchange unless I want to pay additional £200 +
First time using them never again

Move Labour to sort. Then got a message after delivery slot time saying a problem has occurred
So Labour standing around waiting
Costly money for no work
This is happening a lot with selco
Poor transport management and a lack of understanding
Go else and pay more Get a delivery slot that’s works for you
As this cost us a lot of money to stand around

We are always quick to complain so I felt it important to say thank you for the service and help today. My father was picking some bits and pieces up from the Dudley Branch. Without going into detail he was struggling to find some items and struggling physically. One of the employees, Jez basically spotted my father, dropped what he was doing and helped him find all the bits he was after. This also involved getting steps from elsewhere and searching other cages etc as some of the items had got misplaced. Seeing that my father was struggling physically he moved all the items to and through the till and then out to the car and helped load. Great service from a real friendly member of staff in this day and age when its easy to turn away and pretend you didnt see someone struggling. Thank you Jez at Dudley Branch your help today made an huge difference.

Im a sole trader, handy person.
Im going to be blunt and honest.
So I've used selco in the past, unfortunately they don't always meet my needs, out of stock is the most common. I can't afford to waste my time going around builders merchants to find what im after, also, why do we pay more for items down south? Having said that, the products I have bought have been of a good quality and at reasonable price. I would like to stick with 1 supplier but price will always be a factor in any building work. So my recommendation would be, price checks on other merchants and try not to run out of materials. Thanks HANDY ANDY
