Easy to find the holiday we wanted. Very easy to book and complete all the booking information.
The booking was so easy and as a solo traveler no issues, I’ve used secret escape before and always a pleasure to do business with, highly recommend

Booked what was meant to be a trip of a lifetime to Doha/Maldives with Secret Escapes, only to be left in a completely unfair position.
We booked before the recent escalation, but now UK government (FCDO) guidance advises against all but essential travel. Despite this, Secret Escapes is offering zero flexibility.
We are being forced to either pay a huge remaining balance on 18 April for a trip we may not feel safe taking, or cancel now and lose our deposit. Their only response is to “wait and see”, which puts all the financial risk entirely on the customer.
On top of that, how can a company expect customers to pay such a large amount, book time off work, and then wait until just two weeks before departure to find out if the holiday will even go ahead?
Even more frustrating is that they are not willing to offer any flexibility at all — not even allowing us to use our deposit towards another holiday with them.
This is not a change of mind — it’s due to circumstances outside of our control. Really disappointing and stressful experience, especially for such a significant and special holiday.

The South Africa tour we have just been on to Moholoholo and Kruger was amazing. So well organised- flight information provided far in advance, itinerary a few weeks before. Our host met us at the airport and gave us clear instructions on the next steps and made us feel safe and in great hands. Premier Hotel OR Tambo was amazing - the massage we booked was great and such great value, and free access to a lovely clean outdoor pool - buffet for evening and breakfast had lots of choice and was all fresh. Moholoholo exceeded expectations and the hosts went above and beyond, as did our host for the day at Kruger. All excursions were picked up with ease from our stay, with all knowledgeable hosts making every experience great. Highly recommend!

Booked through Secret Escapes both in Uk and Europe- great hotels at good prices. Exactly as described.

We’ve had dozens of hotel breaks with Secret Escapes and have not had one negative experience. The choice of hotels seems well selected and often the add-ons are really excellent. This is a great service that enables us to access great hotel deals that we otherwise couldn’t achieve for ourselves. It has encouraged us to travel more to places in the UK we otherwise wouldn’t visit. Our latest was to Balmer Lawn Hotel in the New Forest and was outstanding.

We have booked several weekend breaks through Secret Escapes and saw a long haul holiday which seemed just what we were looking for. The booking process was easy, the payment options were good and there were extras which we chose to book which were reasonably priced. The whole holiday was very well planned and we couldn’t fault the guides and support during our visit. We would have no hesitation in booking a destination holiday through them again.

Booked a 3 week trip to 3 resorts in Thailand. Phuket, Khao Lak and Krabi. The booking process was good and all aspects of the information given was great apart from the information regarding the second hotel in Khao Lak. We were advised of the hotel name Mai Khao Lak, what they failed to tell us that it was a a Tui Blue hotel. We are a couple in our mid 60’s who like to have nice couples relaxing holidays. The hotel was a family hotel with lots of children, not what we expected. The two other hotels were 5* and really nice.
We also got caught up in the unexpected troubles in the Middle East our flights home were cancelled by British Airways / Qatar as code share flights and when we contacted Secret Escapes via live chat whilst we were away, we were told there is nothing they could do and we needed to speak to the airline, we did this and they told us to contact our agents as there were no alternative flights on offer. We decided to book our own flights back through a different carrier. We did ask secret escapes to refund us the return flight monies because that’s what BA / Qatar advised us to do, which they did but took several phone calls and live chats for it to be done as they told us there was something wrong with their system. Once home I contacted both BA and Qatar as we paid direct to them for seats on the flights. Qatar would not refund us as they told us that the agents needed to close the ticket. Again several phone calls and live chats to request that they do this was very difficult. Apparently once a refund is issued by agents the ticket gets closed. My refund was initially requested on the 7th March I was advised we would have it in 7 working days. That never happened. When I queried it I was told it would be another couple of days. So when it happened the ticket should have been closed. It’s still open as I write this. Speaking to customer services is very frustrating, I’m not sure where they are based but all representatives I have either spoken to or had a live chat with are difficult to understand I’m not sure English is there first language. They certainly haven’t understood what I’m requesting of them, which is to close the ticket so that I can get my refund from the airline for seats I’ve paid for direct. I probably think twice about using this company again.

Diabolical service. We booked a 7 night safari in South Africa several months ago and requested an upgrade last month, which we were prepared to pay for, 2 weeks before the Middle East conflict began. The communication was so bad, that the conversation carried on into the conflict and now we’re still waiting for someone to action our initial request which was made a month ago. All of the dates which we requested are now gone because the request was time-critical. I’ve called, emailed repeatedly, I’ve even spoken with 3 different people and while one person did call me back, they couldn’t action my request on the phone so emailed instead…then did nothing when I replied. Now I’m being ignored, despite repeatedly chasing. If we weren’t celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary during the holiday I would request my credit card company to chargeback and I’d book elsewhere, but it’s too late now. We’re due to fly in 6 weeks. How you manage customers when everything is fine is one thing, but how you manage customers when things go wrong is a better measure. You have failed massively. We holiday around 5 times a year and we’ll just go back to using Voyage-Prive instead. They get 5 stars.

We were really happy with our Secret Escapes deal. We needed a 5 day stopover in Dubai and we spotted an ideal offer for the Hyatt Regency on Dubai Creek. It was easy to book, it gave us 5* half board for a 4* price, with luxury rooms and lovely food

Secret Escapes is my goto site to find luxury hotels deals for my holidays. I’ve used them for 3 trips all over Italy, in the Netherlands, and Edinburgh. I can always count on the quality of the rooms and hotels. The company does a great job in vetting the venues they partner with. I have never been disappointed.

We recently enjoyed visiting Horsted Place Hotel and had a really relaxed and enjoyable stay through Secret Escapes.
Horsted is a fantastic hotel with staff who genuinely engage with visitors and the meals are excellent in all respects.
We booked through SE as the offer was not to be refused.

Impressed with the offer and information provided on the site. Haven't been yet, so can't comment of quality of stay. Phoned to enquire about accessible rooms and parking. AI response, which was unable to answer either question. Asked me if I wanted to speak to the concierge. I answered yes. but was left hanging on for so long, I gave up, and called the hotel who were more helpful. I get it that AI is useful for standard questions but the route to a personal service should be forthcoming.

Only reviewing the 1st bit at the moment ie booking …very simple.
Looks like a great place to stay at a very good price. Here’s hoping it continues to be a very positive experience 😊

Not off to a great start- we’ve spent a lot of money on a bucket list trip and are being told now that we won’t actually get details on the hotels, transfers and activities that are booked until 1 week before the trip. So I want to book extra activities but can’t as we might be placed in completely different hotels and it currently just says transfer on a certain day no times or anything. I can’t wait until a week before to book as everything will be fully booked. They’re not being helpful at all. Not really filling me with confidence that everything seems to be booked so late when we’ve spent so much money on this trip, years worth of savings but now we’re stuck
Update following your reply- I have sent multiple emails- was told you would reach out to get the information sooner and now being told no they don’t have it until a week before

I've been both a member of Secret Escapes and used them many times. I love the ease of using the booking tool but I bloody love the discounts they're able to secure. I saved over £230.00 on the hotel I booked compared to the hotels own website ...
