The quality of the items that you receive is a crap shoot. Sometimes you will receive DVD's that are in perfect condition and others will be terrible. I've received wrong titles more than once and recently also was sent DVD's with artwork that was in disgusting condition. One was stained brown and smelled like chewing tobacco and another had mold on it. I would expect the lack of quality control from a chain store, but not from a family business. Secondspindisk needs to do better!!

I don’t know if they deserve one star.Ordered a Christmas CD that was supposed to come in two weeks ago - before Christmas. I received it today on January 4. The case is cracked. The cover and the CD are both different from what I ordered. The edge does have the name of the correct artist and CD but the cover and see that self do not match. I have never ever had any difficulty ordering CDs online. This was Terrible experience, and I will never use them again

Because I've had nothing but good experiences with them. But I never did get around to trying to sell anything back to them.
I admit the FIRST time I was nervous, but that was back in.. 2012 or 2014. Since then I've probably bought once a year from them and usually, to make it worth my while, I buy 8-20 at a time. I was never ripped off, never got a DVD that wouldn't play like it should. I don't get it, I could understand if I'd only bought from them one time that maybe I'd lucked out.
I was sad to see their going out of business sign, I bought from them again then, the sale was incredible so I got 15 DVDs, and again, because of their circumstances this time, I was a bit nervous that maybe they'd no longer care what people think. But no, I received them all, and they've all been playing fine. I've been doing a lot of LOL during this quarantine, and I thank them for it!
Yeah... I was sad to see them go. :/

SecondSpinDisc is one of the worst companies I've ever bought from. They shipped me the wrong disc inside the correct CD case and refused to correct their problem. They have no "customer service" even though I e-mailed them almost ten times trying to rectify this. I would warn anyone considering dealing with them to do so at their own peril. I, myself, will never deal with these thieves again!

The very best buying and selling media company on the internet. If they go out of business I'll literally cry. Every DVD I've purchased in the past four years has been from Secondspin most other companies charge twice as much and offer half what Secondspin offers, and they only have one tenth the inventory. Please FYE DO NOT shut down this site. They will be grievously missed.

If I could give zero stars I would but what can you do. So I too, like many others, decided to send 10 DVDs to them with a quoted price of about $9.00 for all. Plus they said they would reimburse for shipping. ALL OF THIS IS FALSE!!!! I received a check for .90! No shipping reimbursement!!! Crooks from start to finish!!! Anyone who does a method such as ‘send us your stuff and let us evaluate it’ is just there to rip you off and this is the same. I am writing this to warn others to not do this. Sell local, or even sell on Amazon. At least there you can control how much you get ripped off. Second Spin is a scam through and through.

I used this site based on their claim to pay the best prices for used CDs. They don't. The amount they reimburse for shipping is the least amount possible, regardless of the customer's cost for shipping. They often don't credit some CDs, and will charge for jewel cases they claim are damaged. I found another site that has better prices, pays up front for shipping, and accepts more titles than Second Spin. This site is a scam. Avoid sending anything to them unless you like giving away your items for free.

I love Secondspin. They had a boat load of movies that I have bought and were on my wishlist. I go in today to see that all the movies on the wishlist are completely out of stock which makes no sense because they were abundant the day before. I search for titles and 9x10 they are all out of stock on almost everything. I’ve been purchasing from the site for months and I loved it until now they don’t have anything in their anymore. I hope they fix it.

I wish I had read some of the reviews before sending my CDs to them. I sent 2 copies of several CD's as their website allows when you are creating your trade-in request. Once they received them, they only paid for 1 copy of the CDs I sent. Thus keeping about 10 CDs and not paying for them. (I was promised $30 for these and got nothing) What a scam and rip-off. If it was any more money involved, I would escalate, but not worth it and they know this and will continue to rip people off in the same manner.

Excellent experience. I was skeptical at first because the reviews are all over the place but I compared secondspin to other companies and their quotes for buying your merchandise is higher than other companies. They didn’t take long to check over everything so I have nothing but positive things to say

I went on their website and added my dvds and vhs movies. I got a confirmation and mailed out my products to them with the thought they would be giving me the determined amount. Today, I received my box in the mail that I paid $14.56 to mail and it was refused. I had to pay the Post Office another $14.50 to have it mailed back to me. Whatever you do stay far far far away from this company. They are the biggest scam I have dealt with and I have been selling things for a couple of years now. I will donate these items. It isn't worth your time to go through this company. I can not say enough do not deal with them. In the long run it will end up costing you money as it did me. Completely dissatisfied with this company .

No phone number RIP off many customers selling incomplete disc such as Walker texas ranger season disc 5 missing .

Great company to buy from. Great range of titles and they package very well. Very cheap shipping overseas as they ship without plastic cases to save on shipping charges. Box sets and special packaging is always sent intact. Probably bought over 300 cds and have not had a problem. Also fast shipping and items are received within a couple of weeks. Highly recommended and the prices are fantastic - starting at 99c.

I've had good success in finding BBC TV series, holiday & X-Files DVDS, a large selection of music always excellent packaging and prompt delivery! Great option for people with health and mobility issues!

For multiple years now Second spin has been on my list of 3 sites I purchase DVDs from. Thankfully to date I have not had any broken cases or smashed boxes.
One time I had a used Disc not work in a TV series. I contacted them & immediately an entire new season was sent to me. Not just the one Disc but the entire Season. Sometimes the box or the case the DVDs are in are not in the greatest shape & some discs have a lot of scratches but 99% have played without issue, all purchases do arrive and I shop with confidence that if an issue does arise SecondSpin will be of assistance.
Now when the standard of quality does matter I know not to purchase anything sight unseen.
One last point, if your making your purchases within Canada, their site is in US Funds only. I do wish that would change. I have a real dislike of thinking it's one price (Canadian) then I go to PayPal & oops I forgot the total shown was US currency.
I remember more often now after so many years, but it would be nice to have both currencies at checkout time.

Ordered 13 CD’s No packing material in box. 4 cases were crushed, as if stepped on by a cow before being boxed. Here is a tip; don’t store your CD inventory on
a livestock barn floor. 3 were completely wrong and 1 the case was correct but contents were not.
Recap ; 13 bought 4 crushed cases (most others were cracked) 4 wrong.

I have really gotten the proverbial shaft with Second Spin and selling them some CD’s. I sold them a total of 7 orders with anywhere from 25 to 35 items per order. I mailed in the first order just to test the system and things went fine. In hindsight, I should have done the same with the subsequent 6 orders. For the last 6 orders, I combined 2 orders in each box to better ensure that the boxes were fuller with less chance for damages and less cost on my end and thinking less cost for the receivers. Included in each box were the order emails from SecondSpin that outlined what was included. Well, that was a mistake..... I have now given up trying to get any reconciliation from SecondSpin. For the 4 boxes I sent in, I have received less than 50% of my out of pocket expense back as point #1. It appears that they checked in 1 of the 2 orders sent in the box and not each order therefore keeping 1 of the 2 orders and not paying out. In fact 1 order provided me with a dollar amount and no refund for mailing. How did the items get there I asked and received an email with a reference to a shipping policy which then resulted in an email war that continued for a few days until I finally gave up. I asked for escalation and to talk to someone directly; was told they handle all interactions through email. All I can say is be careful using this company. I personally would have better served giving these items to Goodwill.

I don't know why folks are giving Second Spin such bad reviews. I just completed selling several of my 4k and bluray movies to them and it all went very smoothly. I got the shipping refunded that was expected within the limits they said and then got all but $8 of the amount they said I'd probably get back.
I got the check quickly and everything was very easy. I'll likely use them again to get rid of more discs very soon.

They sent to wrong movie and it took

Purchased 35 different albums all used and was able to add a promo code to get buy 2 get one for $1. Paid $3.99 for shipping (media mail) all the cds were shipped in 1 day and arrived in 8 days. All the albums but 1 had practically new discs. The case was banged up on 3 out of 35! Which isn’t a big deal. I definitely will purchase more from them.
I have never sold cds to them so I can’t review based on the selling side. However Unless the album is rare I wouldn’t sell a cd outside of amazon or eBay.
