They don’t even deserve 1 star, unfortunately there is no zero. I singed up for free trial and I cancelled my free trial within a few days but was still charged €10.99. I contacted customer support th... See more

I reported the unauthorised upload of my paid copyrighted content on Scribd. Initially, I received no reply and the infringing material remained live on the website. It was only after I escalated the issue that the content was removed.
As a small business owner, this directly harmed my business and income. It is very concerning that paid copyrighted material could stay online despite clear copyright notices and my logo appearing on every page.
Scribd appears able to use AI to generate file descriptions, yet fails to detect obvious signs that content is protected and should not be hosted.
This suggests a serious weakness in the platform’s safeguards.
Overall, I am disappointed with the website and the way this was handled at first. The platform seems to make it too easy for people to share content they do not have the right to upload. That said, I do appreciate that the material was eventually removed after escalation.
A BUNCH OF CROOKS! ADVERTISE A FREE THIRTY DAY TRIAL WHICH I CANCELLED WITHIN THREE DAYS AND IGNORED THIS AND STILL TOOK MY PAYMENT ! AVOID THESE CROOKS AT ALL COSTS !
They said I should contact them and then nothing. Srill no refund. Stole my money after I cancelled and then rep lied to me to make me drop the paypal case. Dishonest. Do not install and especially don't give them money.
I’ve been a member of your service for years, and I’m extremely disappointed with the lack of support. Every time I report an issue, no one replies to my emails, and even the messages I’ve sent through your social media channels go unanswered.
Some people have suggested that I didn’t follow the correct procedures, but I have. I’ve been trying to access my membership on the same iPad I’ve always used, and it suddenly locked me out. When I logged in again with my email and password, it asked for a verification code — but no code has ever been sent to my email. I’ve tried many times over the past week, checked my spam and junk folders, and I haven’t changed my email or blocked anything. I simply never receive the code.
I’ve emailed repeatedly about this issue, and still no one has responded. Because of this ongoing lack of support, I’ve cancelled my membership and can no longer recommend this service. It’s very disappointing that even after cancelling, no one has replied.
Was attracted by Free subscription for 30 days upon sign up. Decided it wasn't for me and cancelled the same day . Surprised to be billed USD 10+ in credit card statement. Wrote in to inquire discrepancy. Scribd said I had clicked paynow so the transaction is legitimate.
Warning: this paynow button is misleading. Thought I had to click in order to enjoy a refund after 30 days, making payment amount to be $0.00. this is not true. Very devious. I've been scammed. Hope this post helps others to beware devious scribd marketing gimmick
This crappy website keeps making me watch ads which are apparently "10 seconds long", but it's even worse. It takes more than 3 minutes to load 10 seconds. Thats scamming me of my time. I'd rather do research in a library than use this website. Get better.
This website tries to push its money-making to its absolute limit. You can't download anything unless you pay a fee per month. We have to watch an ad to watch other pages after an extended time? Ridiculous. I give it one more star because it has the valuable resources for my task.
Have been trying to get payments that aren’t authorised stopped for months now. They keep asking me for more and more information, pass me from one agent to another and meanwhile, are continuing to take money out of my account. Scam company.
How is this company/website still allowed to operate. Tons of copyright material for which SCRIBD gets paid. Illegal upload of copyright books and illegal hosting by SCRIBD
I was charged after cancelling my free trial, even thought it was clearly stated that if I cancelled before the trial expired, I'd not have to pay. Biggest scammers of all time.
They have all sorts of promises to get access to info without having to pay anything, but it just strings you along for information till it tries to trick you into payment.
I tried the free trial. Didn't like it. But, although Scribd should have sent me an email before the free trial expired, they didn't and also charged me before expiry.
I contacted them for a refund. Their response was negative and dismissive, so I opened a PayPal case. They responded, saying they would refund me but claimed I should close the case with PayPal. I closed the case with PayPal, and immediately Scribd sent an email refusing the refund. Horrible company. LIARS

After subscription, I downloaded two books. Then the website and app cannot be accessible. I cannot cancel subscription or use the website or app at all. This is a scam.
