It was 1981, Margaret Thatcher has been in power for two excruciatingly long years already, Charles and Diana have just announced their engagement, Bucks Fizz have won the Eurovision Song contest and Scribbler has just been born! But unlike Thatcher’s reign, Charles and Diana’s marriage and the UK’s run in Eurovision, Scribbler thrived into what can only be described as a ‘well good shop’ (thanks @cheeselover92) and now has stores across the country and a brand spanking new website. Whether you’re looking for something outrageously rude (The Daily Mail hate us!), ridiculously funny, or sickeningly sweet, we've got you covered. We work with the quirkiest, most outlandish and anarchic range of designers to bring the best and …ahem, boldest products to you. Get ready to get it wrong... Scribbler level wrong.

Only leaving 1 star because 0 stars isn’t available. The new website is clunky and difficult to use but my main problem is that they have kept nearly £30 of MY money that was credited to make paying easier. DO NOT USE

Ordered in the evening of the 23rd and received it on the 27th which is great honestly. The cards are just as advertised and they are nice thick, sturdy cards. I only have one minor problem with them. They are all folded badly. I ordered 8 and it’s all of them. Due to them being thick cards it is not possible for me to re-fold without leaving more creases on the cards. I guess I could cut the tops slightly. Like I said, minor problem but one shouldn’t have to make cards even themselves. Would have loved to have given 5 stars.
Website use to be great at ordering numerous cards at once but now you update one address and it sends all the cards to the same address. I didn’t realise this on a previous order and all the cards went to one address. Now you have the order separately so can’t get the fourth card for free and can’t reuse student discount code twice. This has been an ongoing issue on the website since last year. Will order from somewhere else in future.

I know I can always rely on Scribbler to find a suitable card. The ordering process is good and cards arrived on time. Thank you Scribbler

After going into your Leeds store and seeing all the unique cards I wanted to buy a card and some wrapping paper from the website for my partners birthday but the website is just unusable! You search for something nothing comes up or only half the search results. Once I did find some things I tried to check out and add my address twice that didn’t work so then I tried to make an account and it simply won’t let me. I would think about working on your website as I’m sure others have gone on and then not been able to purchase. Really poor!

Walked in Canary Wharf store with my 9 yr old son to buy a card for his mate. Surrounded by cards /mugs with 4 letter words all over them - my son closed his eyes it was so in your face - anything to make a profit eh?!
Wont be going back ever

Consistently late deliveries even when paying for premium shipping.
Seems to link to another service for shipping at the last stage and the premium option disappears even though you’re paying for it.
All a bit clunky and inefficient.
I suppose my custom card wasn't possible for them to print, but they din't give me any warning, just left it un-customised and sent me a blank at full price. Emails are rude and full of swearing with no adult content warning. Just not a good service at all.

Chester Store - Staff member whispering to other staff member & went to door away from customer to continue talk then came back in then waited for me to put things in my bag to continue conversation- made me feel awkward as a customer and service felt off. First time purchasing so put me off.

You are truly THE WORST. I've got an issue trying to create an order and you make it impossible to contact anyone. Your query form needs an order number but I haven't got that far!! No-one is answering an email and your 'live chat' is not live. Bunch of absolute amateurs - I will not try to use you again. You know there are other card companies out there?

Just don’t arrive
Ordered Saturday. Today is Friday. No cards. Rubbish, use other more reliable sources

Son ordered before Thursday deadline and the website promised it would be there for Mother's Day with special delivery. It's now Wednesday and postman hands over a 3 day late card which I have to sign for - funny part, it's got special delivery. This is clearly a problem with Scribbler's capacity for big day orders. Card is no longer funny! Scribbler is not reliable. Such a shame.
Update 8/4/25 - Son got a full refund from Scribbler so I've amended 'waste of money' to 'waste of time' in the title. Its good that they've recognised this as an issue, but when there's other players in this sector, getting it wrong once is one time too many for me.

Ordered a birthday card. Scribbler took my money and I had an onscreen reference, yet I didn't receive a confirmation email and my Order History was empty.
I sent Scribbler an email asking if this was being processed but birthday cards need to arrive on time so I ordered another through Moonpig to ensure one was delivered.
Scribbler belatedly emailed me to say that I didn't get a confirmation email because their system marked my email address as "Email address does not exist" - yet they emailed me to that same address to let me know!
Their Order History has an outage that they're aware of, so that's why the Order History page didn't show anything.
In that case, either fix it, or put a message up saying this doesn't work.
It's cost me ~£17 for a card, due to Scribbler not being unable to confirm in a timely manner whether they've received my order.
So it seems their systems are not good enough, and I won't be using them again

Great selection and more original than other sites

Great range of nicely designed cards. Delivery was quicker than I expected, and the card quality was very good.
Will use them again
