Having read reviews from other people…

Having read reviews from other people complaining about this company I wanted to add that my own experience, based on two transactions in the last year or two, has been faultless. In one instance a transformer they supplied enabled me to rescue a classic desk lamp that I would otherwise have had to ditch. On the second instance they correctly diagnosed the problem, which I was then able to rectify myself. An unscrupulous company would surely have behaved otherwise. So personally I am entirely happy with SaveMyLight and would certainly use them again.

who don't tell the truth and just lie , when you complain about a faulty product you send them , they tell lies that it was supposedly delivered to them all burnt up and smelled of smell after unpacking which was absolutely not true , we have photos and video of the transformer we sent was unburnt and faulty - a non working transformer product

They will not even return the transformer and scrap it without informing you of anything ...

In any case we DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING and such companies should be closed as soon as possible so that they go bankrupt and don't take advantage of decent people !!!!

Horrible company

Sadly i cant give zero stars or I would
Ive used this company before with no problem. This time I received a faulty transformer, I contacted them and asked very politely for a replacement and a return envelope for the faulty one as I am entitled to a replacement of faulty goods under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 only to be told its not faulty, It was tested and working when sent out. I could check it to make sure its not tripped the safety cut out. After a few emails back and forth I did the checks they suggested with the same result of a non working transformer. I contacted them again and said i had done everything they asked and it was still faulty. I asked again for a replacement or a refund, either would do at this point and they came up with reasons not to replace it or refund me. I told them if they couldnt sort the issue we have other options we can look at meaning I could contact paypal but i did not state that, i gave them the option to make it right. This didnt happen I just got an aggressive email reply. As I cant get any resolution from them I contacted paypal to sort it out and i got a dreadful email from them.

THEY SAID
We have been made aware of your Chargeback claim through Paypal and will defend it.
It is now clear exactly what your email meant when you insinuated you had other options. In simple terms going over the head of the retailer to file a Chargeback. In the retail world this is called 'Friendly Fraud' by falsing a refund with a payment provider. Very suspicious behaviour if I say so. As you have not given us the chance to inspect and test the product we cannot verify your claim that the goods are defective.
I strongly recommend you return the goods to us as any consumer is obligated to do. If you retain the goods and receive funds back we will pursure the return of the funds as per our T&C's.
We await the return of the goods.

I'm not falsing a refund, and i have no intention of keeping a broken transformer, Im happy to send it back but i aint paying that cost. Its not down to me. Consumer Rights Act 2015 states its not.

When you get responses like this to every email options are limited.

Every email i sent i have offered to return the faulty product and under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 Section 23: Right to repair or replacement
This section details a consumer's right to insist on repair or replacement of faulty goods, the cost of which must be borne by the trader. This includes the trader bearing any costs involved in the removal of an installed item and reinstallation of a replacement. So ive asked for postage to be paid for which has totally been ignored or ive been told its not in their policy.

As a seller they are trying to avoid their responsibilities of a repair or replacement of faulty goods under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

I will not be dealing with them again once this has been sorted, AVOID AVOID AVOID there are alternative products available of better quality and at cheaper prices, you just have to seach for them.

Received faulty products

Received faulty products, Mr Steven Williams the so called Savemylight sales manager, is not prepared to take any responsibility. The responses are rude, intimidating and avoiding any kind of professionalism. Please avoid this company. Rgds F Bosch

Abysmal service, poor quality goods

I reviewed this company under the alternative Trustpilot listing as 'Savemylight international' - same company as far as I can tell, and same abysmal services. The company will try to avoid their responsibilities as a supplier and the customer will have to put up with rude and agressive so called customer service. One to avoid.

Avoid like the plague - appalling post sales

Contacted Savemylight as a transformer I bought for a client's 12v halogen feature light three months before had failed and I wanted to return under warranty. The response was that there was nothing wrong with the transformer and I didnt know how to test it (they hadn't even seen the transformer nor had they asked how it was tested). After further, increasingly arrogant, rude and anonymous emails from their so called Customer Services I gave up and have converted my clients light to run LEDs.

Avoid this company like the plague. They have no technical knowledge of the products they sell, have a zero concept of customer services and are unable to admit they are wrong.

Ordered a new sliding dimmer switch to replace an old broken / obsolete one based on recommendation given via the website. Item was delivered in good time. I have just fitted it and my lights are back on. All good. Thank you.

Abysmal Customer Service

One of the worst customer experiences I have ever had. Was quite clear on the item and advised them transformer with their own name and code, I wished to purchase from the first email contact. As this was a replacement I therefore asked a straightforward question which any competent company could answer.
All I received was abuse which shows how bad the company operates. They really should close their doors.

Total scam artists

Total scam artists, avoid at all costs. Send faulty and refurbished goods that do not work, when you return the item to them at their request, they try and tell you that you have tampered with the item or the item you returned was not what they sent you. Their customer service is non existent, they treat you like a moron. They should be closed down, any one considering ordering from them should do themselves a favour and just search for reviews of this company, this will tell you all you need to know. Totally scammer, save your money instead of allegedly trying to save your light. Wish I had. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Do a map search of their registered address and look at the images, will tell you all you need to know. A pawn shop!

Avoid this company at all costs!

Shocking after sales service! I had an issue with a plug I bought from this company which did not work, contacted them to ask how I return for a refund and was met with nothing other than rudeness, telling me there was nothing wrong with the item when they posted it to me and accused me of trying to hide the fact I had maybe damaged it, I asked if I needed to get in touch with Paypal to get my refund and I was told I was 'jumping the gun'!! I was told many customers buy from them to 'Try' the item and send the item back faulty and because I challenged this accusation I was told not to contact them again until they had tested the item I was going to return. After a week of then having my item and waiting to hear back I sent an email asking for an update as to when my refund would be processed and yet again I was met with a rude and intimidating email telling me they were still testing the item and I 'should stop panicking and refrain from sending emails'!!

Would get a better customer service if they had monkeys instead of this low life staff

If only I bothered to read the reviews before I bought from them, I’d have purchased from elsewhere. Item wasn’t delivered as expected and some Steven Williams from them says it’s up to me to chase it. Called after hours and some idiot girl decided to act as if it was domino’s pizza place and make fun of the customer after a few minutes into the call. Same rude email replies as some other reviewers state.
Spend your money somewhere else where you don’t have do deal with people with the brain the size of a chimpanzee is my advice.

Avoid this company . Shocking customer service.

Purchased a fitting in error. Returned to them and was blatantly accused of damage to the item and refused a refund. Accompanied by several extremely intimidating, inappropriate emails. And then chose to block my responses. Bullying tactics and unacceptable way to run a business and treat paying customers.

Unfortunately Trading Standards are unable to assist due to ‘ reductions in resources for the service and can no longer provide support for customers with such problems ‘.

So buyer beware and make your purchases elsewhere .

Unbelievably rude and unprofessional

This is the rudest and worst company I have ever dealt with. They despatched a faulty transformer which didn’t work and was fitted by a qualified electrician as I know nothing about electrics. When I contacted the rude man in the company he first tried to say I had fitted it, then that the qualified electrician had incorrectly fitted it then that there was a problem with my wiring. I have since purchased a new light and it works perfectly which goes to prove there was nothing wrong with the wiring and it was a faulty transformer! I’m glad that some people have had good service from this shower but I would be very careful when purchasing items from them and ensure you pay through a recognised company which can obtain a refund if the item is faulty. I’m expecting to get an answer which is not very nice which will only confirm mine and several others opinions of this company.

They were really helpful

They were really helpful. I called and left a message and the next day my call was returned (during COVID lockdown). They could have sold me circa £100 worth of transformers, but instead asked a few question to ascertain what the issue was and then advised it was more likely overloading of the bulbs and I may not need new transformers. They even advised me what bulbs I should be using. I tested this as they advised and it was in fact the bulbs as he suggested.

Really impressed with their help and honesty.

Stay away from this shop is my advice

Stay away from this shop is my advice. I ordered a small transformer worth 28 £ which did not work more than a few minutes. The shop asked me to return it for inspection and I had to pay for it. I sent it with regular post and after a few weeks (!) they responded that the transformer was faulty but they claimed no responsibility for the damage but could send me a replacement but i had to pay for FedEx shipping. That would be the third shipment for me totalling to 55 £. Their responses was at all times rude and not willing to at least send it with regular post to reduce the cost even if paid it. But no. Again customer service is argumentative and attacking the customer. Even for a cheap product. Terrible

Transformator na 1 jaar defect

Transformator gekocht voor een halogeen lamp. Na ongeveer een jaar al defect. Contact gezocht met het bedrijf en zij claimen dat verkeerd gebruik de waarschijnlijke oorzaak is. Lamp hangt echter aan plafond en het enige wat gebeurt is aan en uitzetten. Nog gezegd dat volgens de EU regeling mag verwacht worden dat een product langer mee gaat dan 1 jaar. Zijn reactie was vervolgens dat hij blij is de EU te verlaten...geen aanrader dus.

Hun laatste reactie, welke genoeg zegt lijkt me;

You are somebody that will never be satisfied. We are not employing Dutch people and thank god we are leaving the EU 'club'. You are lucky we even make an attempt to translate. Many customers appreciate the effort. Unfortunately there is always one who likes to find fault with everything.
I would suggest a refresher in the English language because Curling is a sport in which players slide stones on a sheet of ice toward a target area which is segmented into four concentric circles. It is related to bowls, boules and shuffleboard.
If there is nothing wrong with the quality of our product why are you repeatedly emailing about a warranty. Go and drive Ursula von der Leyen mad.
You have absolutely no understanding of the product you have purchased and believe it will last forever. Electrical components do not last forever.
