Horrible bank - choose NatWest instead
Horrible bank making life very difficult for new customers. They have rejected my student account application 3 times despite having a great credit score, on the electoral roll etc. I mainly just wanted the rail card but I’ve decided to register with NatWest (quick application and confirmed all my details within 10 mins) instead because this awful incompetent time wasting bank isn’t worth a £70 railcard.

Praise, praise and more praise.
I cannot offer more praise for the Yeovil Branch. All the staff are just so very helpful and understanding in sorting out this poor ol' "wrinklies" various problems. One in particular has gone just that little bit further in trying to help sort out an alcoholic's, friends cash flow problems: amazing, and ten out of ten!

Totally uncompetent customer service
Totally uncompetent customer service! I pay to Santander 6000 kr. per month.I have never late with my payments and therefore considered as a loyal customer. This month I have late with 4 days to pay my bill for my credit card. Four days after the payment was visible in their system, i have got a fee of 100 kr., because I have late with 4 days. That is funny! I will not get down for 100 kr. ,but if they get 100 kr. from everyone...I will never be their customer again!

I owed a month before pandemic as being a taxi driver times were getting hard so called santander they gave me 3 months holiday now i got a letter for repossession not happy at all calked today and they said couldnt do anything as its with solicitors
Due to pandemic
Due to pandemic, I lost my job and I can't pay my loan. I informed Santander bank immediately. They replied to me that is ok and I can pay later because they understand the situation.
But now they add me to blacklist and counting a fine. Sending letters that I have to pay more for the delay. I wrote to them again, but they are ignoring me.
Worst bank ever. I am very disappointed, that bank in this situation is trying to make more money and not trying to help its customers.
I am not planning to pay more!

Got a credit card, blocked after 1 payment and no unusable.
SANTANDER WORST BANK EVER
Santander online banking I tried to pay my credit card online but it would not work tried phoning for 2 days over an hour each time so on the 25/3/20 I had no option but to go to the bank
I am 71 years old I did not have any money in the house so was forced to go to Santander bank in Kilmarnock The bank was letting one person in at a time
A lady cashier dealt with me and I paid my credit card no problem
I asked to withdraw money I was told to go to the cash machine but I needed a £1000
A gentleman cashier stood up and told me money was no good as nobody was taking money he was very arrogant
I told him that me and my wife were in isolation as I have underlying health conditions and I did not want to be here nor did I want to keep going to a cash machine as friends and family would bring us groceries and I would leave money for them
at that point another gentleman told me to take my card and go
I found out later this was the manager, hard to believe this was the manager they were very aggressive and threatening and I will be closing all my accounts.

I am surprised that people have commented as fast .. very false.
Tried two times today .. both on different times of the day ...
In the afternoon I disconnected the call after 30 mins of call .. noone responded.
Second time in the evening .. the call is ongoing for 27 minutes on automated waiting list .. still no hope.
dumb tortoise service.
