Worst bank ever. We wait days and days to answer on issue, and stil waiting car title more then month
I was very disappointed with my recent customer service experience.
I was very disappointed with my recent customer service experience.
I received two separate settlement offers (Ablöseangebote) that differed significantly in amount. To avoid any potential delays or complications, I chose to pay the higher amount, with the understanding that any overpayment could be clarified and adjusted afterward.
Approximately one week after making the payment, I contacted the company to request a final invoice so I could review the breakdown of costs and determine whether a refund was due. I was informed that the invoice would be sent to me shortly.
After waiting about three weeks without receiving any documentation, I followed up again. During this second call, I was told that the amount I had paid was considered the final amount and that there was no record in their system of my previous request for a final invoice. When I reiterated my request and asked that it be properly recorded, I was informed that this was the first time such a request had been made and that no timeline could be assured for issuing the invoice.
Based on this experience, I found the communication and follow-up process to be unsatisfactory. I did not feel adequately supported in resolving my inquiry.

When contacting the customer service again, all they said was "still being worked on. you will be contacted."
I asked for the possibility to escalate/prioritize. Apparently not possible. Unbelievable!

Very abusive Credits. I took a credit and when I wanted to pay upfront, ended up paying thousands of euro commissions + plus the insurance they enforce is solved in their benefit. It was recommended by Smava, but I will never again work with them.

Die rassistischste Bank in Deutschland. Wir wollten ein Auto von checkcars24.de leasen und das Auto wurde über diese Bank abgewickelt. Wir haben eine tolle Schufa, einen festen Wohnsitz in Deutschland und leben seit 5 Jahren hier. Die Bank lehnte unser Angebot ab und wollte uns auch keinen Grund nennen, als wir nach einem Grund fragten. Unser Vertriebsmitarbeiter bei car24 war ein toller Typ und als wir mit ihm sprachen, sagte er uns, dass dies die 14. Ablehnung in diesem Jahr sei und die meisten von ihnen indische Staatsbürger seien und jeder von ihnen ein sehr hohes Einkommen habe. Als ich dies mit einem meiner deutschen Freunde besprach, beantragte er dasselbe Auto und das Angebot wurde innerhalb einer Stunde angenommen. Es ist lustig, dass es solche Organisationen noch gibt.
Most racist bank in Germany. We wanted to lease a car from checkcars24.de, and the car was dealt via this bank. We have great Schufa and have a Permanent Residence in Germany and had been living here for the past 5 years. The bank rejected our offer and when asked for a reason, they didn't want to provide one. Our sales associate with the car24 was a great guy, and when we spoke with him,he told that it's the 14th rejection this year and most of them are Indian citizens and everyone one of them have very high income. When I discussed this with one of my German friend, he applied for the same car and the offer got accepted within 1 hours. It's funny that there are organizations like this which still exist.
Not fixing their faults
Troublesome MySantander app and SantanderSign. Unable to restore login details from overseas according to a bug. Customer support phone unreachable and automated emails are sent out covering their delay in response. Fix your system, then there won’t be that many support requests!

The credit cards are only for germans - Santander in Germany targets their products only for native german citizens. The same with Zinia credit card , they are automatically rejecting the foreigners. I will contact Amazon USA to break this cooperation with Santander. I hope Amazon USA is fair and solve this issue

Punished for paying off credit sooner
I took a loan with no penalty for early pay off. However after sending the full amount of the balance, they refused to credit this amount and instead held the money somewhere in escrow and kept taking only the monthly payment and charging me further interest which made me have to keep sending more money. I called so may times and the customer service refused to help me or tell me a clear answer as to why they didn't credit the loan. They would hung up on me and laugh at me. I wrote e-mails and letters and after 2 months I finally got a ridiculous answer. Now 3 months after sending the full amount of the loan my loan is still not settled. I will report them now to the authorities in charge of this complaints in the German government. I don't recommend this bank at all.

I received a response from a decision maker who reviewed my account and offered a resolution. Possibly, the Customer Service person that I had a bad experience with was a lone Representative who did the company a disservice.
I would like to say.. Santander has offered a compromise to receiving a bad customer service experience. The young lady I spoke with was professional and willing to express empathy to my experience. We were able to come to a great outcome for both me and the company in addition to letting me know that the service I received was out of the ordinary and should have never experienced bad customer service. Thank you Santander for a great recovery and a happy outcome.v
Online banking is a nightmare
Online banking is a nightmare. You have to do everything by post. You can't even fill in a tax exemption form online. I sent it by post but they lost the form and never processed it, so I paid more tax that I need to claim back now... For the sake of your mental health, avoid this bank.

So, I applied for consumer loan, a personal loan for me, so whatever I do with that money is my problem. Now, after filling the online application, they called me to ask why do I need the loan for? I said it’s a personal loan, whatever I do with it, it’s my worry. But because the lady was asking again and again, I said ok, we want to buy an apartment in our home country, and are taking money for that, but for you, the bank, that should not matter, as you are not involved in any of that. But she said, sorry we do not finance property. Hahahaha.. this girl does not understand difference between a personal loan and a mortgage 😂 How can a bank run like this I do not know. But their rates are very good, so I would still try next time I need credit.
Keep blocking my account without any reasons
After every transfer to my own account of another Bank Santander locks my account and it takes for ever to unlock the account. It is always the same transaction, but they don't get it. Don't use this bank!!!!
