Sandicliffe was formed on Nottingham Road, Stapleford in 1948, starting out as a small garage and workshop where our founding members, Richard Woodhouse and Henry Barton, worked tireless hours to service and repair the cars of Stapleford. 70+ years later, Sandicliffe has expanded to an award-winning motor group, managed under the same family values as it was in 1948. Since then the company has become one of the East Midlands’ most trusted and recognised brands. The company has now grown to 7 locations across the East Midlands including Nottingham, Leicester, Loughborough and Lincoln. From these locations we represent Ford, MG, Mazda, BYD, Xpeng, GWM and Maxus and offer new as well as used car and van sales, servicing and repairs, MOTs, parts. accident repair/ bodyshop services and Fleet. We are still run and managed today as a family business, Sandicliffe has achieved countless awards including Best Customer Care, Best Customer Offers, Best Marketing and Most Environmentally Aware.

Excellent, friendly customer service from Louie and Lauren. They created a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere on the day I picked up my new Mazda 6e.
Recently upgraded my car, process was made smooth and easy by Louie, so thank you and I will enjoy my new motor. Thanks to all the team
Customer service from the salesman Louie was great! Really enjoyed my interaction with him. I’m a Mazda customer for life now
Friendly and helpful staff. Explained everything thing clearly and no pressure to buy! Great service from Louie and Lauren.
I have used the Leicester Sandicliffe transit centre for the last 5 years and they have always been very helpful. Ben is always on hand to answer any question and is not a typical salesman, there’s no pressure, always gets us the best deals which makes the process extremely easy.
From the first telephone call to picking up the car, the service, in the person of Jack Browne was exemplary. He took as long as I needed to understand both the finances and the technicalities and the pros and cons of extra potential purchases. There was no hard sell, rather he showed an interest in me and what I wanted the car for. I cannot imagine Sandicliffe have a better person to represent them.
PLEASE SHOOT ME
I've never been to a place like this, the sat nav hadn't updated so had to take it in early in the morning, being unable to walk had to arrange a pick up from sandicliffe told ring you later to pick car up, no phone after several attempts to talk to someone, went around 4ish to see what was happening, spoke to someone and was told couldn't be done so re-book it while this was happening the service department rang me which was the person next to the woman I was talking to, took it back and was told could be 8 hours to fix manual download, guess what no phone call 2nd day now nearly 3pm no contact niece has popped in to ask customer service what was happening, this is so poor the customer service you need your head examined if you use this place. Update from the niece not today might be tommorow supposed to need another 9 hours, JOKE
Very disappointing experience with Sandicliffe.
I recently purchased a Nissan Leaf from them and shortly after collecting the car I discovered that the FM and DAB radio do not work properly.
What is even more disappointing is the after-sales service. Since collecting the car, I have contacted them by email several times to report the issue, but nobody has bothered to reply or even acknowledge my messages.
Before the sale, communication was fine, but once the car was collected it feels like I have simply been ignored.
I expected much better customer service from a large dealership, especially when an issue appears immediately after purchasing the vehicle.
Unfortunately, based on my experience so far, I cannot recommend Sandicliffe.
Extremely disappointing experience with Sandicliffe Loughborough.
I booked my Ford in for a service and MOT. During the service, before the MOT had even been carried out, they identified a leaking nearside shock absorber and put £267.98 of work on the report.
Their wording was:
“Nearside shock leaking (MOT advisory/possible fail)”
The problem is the “possible fail” part.
When I questioned this, I was told that they couldn't actually determine whether it would fail the MOT until the MOT was carried out.
I'm sorry, but this doesn't make sense to me.
The vehicle was already in their workshop. They had already inspected the shock during the service and identified the issue. The MOT was going to be carried out after the service. Surely a professional workshop should be able to properly assess the condition of the shock and give the customer a clear explanation of whether it is simply an advisory or whether it genuinely needs replacing because it would fail an MOT.
Instead, we're left with “possible fail”, a £267.98 repair, and the impression that we're being encouraged to approve the work because it might fail.
That is not the level of transparency or customer service I would expect from a large dealership.
It leaves me asking a very simple question:
If you have already inspected the shock, why can't you properly establish what condition it is in and advise the customer accordingly, rather than putting “possible fail” on the paperwork and leaving them to decide whether to spend £267.98?
It feels like the wording is being used to cover themselves while putting the customer under pressure to approve potentially unnecessary work.
My wife took the car in, and I find it particularly disappointing that this is the way the situation was handled with her. Customers shouldn't have to be mechanically knowledgeable to know whether they're being advised to carry out genuinely necessary work.
This is exactly the sort of experience that gives garages a bad name.
Very disappointed with Sandicliffe Loughborough. A big company should be providing clear, honest and transparent advice, not leaving customers questioning whether they're being asked to pay for work that may not actually be necessary.
We certainly won't be using them again. 1 star because 0 isn't an option.
Update, took to another garage and within 5 to 10 SECONDS they advised it is advisory and will not fail MOT and it passed MOT so they were DEFINITELY trying to get money out of us. PLEASE do not go here and get scammed!!!
Having leased a brand new MG car Sandicliffe the local MG dealer are telling me it cannot be repaired untill October, makes the warranty a joke and as they are so busy Chinese cars are very unreliable. Come on MG and your dealers sort the problems out
Loughborough branch - Following safety recall work for DPT, had additional in issues which they denied was related, charged me £90 for diagnostics (smelt the oil in engine and looked at dipstick) then follow up charge of £370 for new items (filter and oil) to rectify the issue. Promised to complete work be end of day but didn’t. Promised to complete it next day by particular time but didn’t. No phone call updates that were promised. Most staff on the front desk at offish and defensive in manner. Thankfully there was one person who was helpful. Previously had a dipstick left out following work leading to oil over engine as a result, and had to have an oil filter replaced once due to poor fitting. Avoid at all costs!
5 star review specifically for John Bell. From enquiry to delivery, I cannot fault the service provided. No ego, no nonsense; with clear and effective communication. Thank you.
We recently purchased an MX5 from Sandicliffe Nottingham. Our salesman was Louie. The service we received from Louie was excellent. As we were travelling over 100 miles he put the car to one side and was in contact with us before our visit. On our visit we found Louie to be very friendly, professional and courteous, he even recommended somewhere for lunch which was very much appreciated. Great service, great car!
Really welcoming and very helpful to me throughout the whole process, would definitely recommend them. Thank you Stefan and Ollie for all your help.
Day 1 was a Woeful experience, worse than the Ford Leicester site. Insisting on £90 diagnostic fee, for an electric seat malfunction , especially when the fault wasn't even fixed! had the vehicle all day, let me know at 5;45pm needed get a part in. waste of a day, waste of £90. Awful. The complimentary health check was a scam as nothing was picked up, turns out the coil spring was fractured, and five other advisories . Embarrassing miss from this low bar service team.
Day 2 they got the part and all was smooth sailing , very good customer service , and rapport, all could have been forgiven , until I saw the state of the seat on return . Unfortunately I was given the car back with the seat casing hanging off and broken , no one bothered to reattach it or offer to replace it if that was t included in the motor fix . Really really shoddy jobsworth stuff.
Conclusion : two full days , £430 spent , seat motor fixed , however I need to go to another garage to fix the seat casing. So poor it’s off the scale especially from a Ford brand service like Sandicliffe.
I had my car serviced and the MOT done at Sandicliffe Ford Stapleford on 28/8, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing.
The car was not given even a basic wash, and the interior was not vacuumed. There was also no disposable protective cover placed over the driver’s seat/steering wheel to prevent it from getting dirty.
After the oil change, even the most basic system reset was not carried out.
Compared with my previous experience at Sandicliffe Nottingham, where all of these things were done, the level of service at Stapleford was really disappointing.
The price is already more expensive than many independent garages, so I would expect a better level of service. Unfortunately, the service provided did not meet that expectation. 👎
I don’t think I will be using this branch again.
Buying a car from Jack was a really easy and smooth experience. Everything went smoothly and very quickly from start to finish. Jack was helpful, friendly, and made the whole process SO simple. Highly recommended!
Jack has been an amazing salesman with in-depth descriptions on what Mazda offers as a car dealership always with a friendly face and manners, couldn’t ask for better service it really stood out to other places I’ve been
What plonker decided to remove prices on the windscreen and compel you to scan a code on a mobile phone (if you have one).
Total nonsense. we were in the market to change one of our cars and upgrade. No chance of using Sandicliffe with this nonsense.
Very easy purchase, kept me well informed and very reasonable to deal with. Overall I'm very satisfied with the product and the service.
