Terrible company, Don’t take part in a survey over the phone!

Like others on here, I have had the same experience, The company San Lorenzo have now got solicitors sending me letters! The telephone number does not work, I have emailed explaining that I never ordered anything from their company, nor did I want any products from them! In the emails the amounts ranged from £30 to £73 now an added £30 for legal fees.
I have never known a company like this!
If anyone could advise, it would be greatly appreciated.

Got conned years ago by this company…

Got conned years ago by this company years ago with an intro pack - that we probably only used 10% of its contents. They will not let go and have called me so many times from so many different numbers. Never known a company like it. Have expressly asked them before to never call me again - always ignored. Something really needs to be done about companies like this. They call when you're at work, in an evening, at weekends. Very annoying - all calls get blocked, so don't know whey they persist.

I am delighted to find this review…

I am delighted to find this review site. This company have been driving me mad.Cold called and talked into receiving THE 6kg package. Had a bad telephone line and thought it was £17.00 introductory. No, when goods and invoice arrived it was £73.00. The goods could have been bought in a supermarket for worse £30.00. Was really annoyed so rang the uk free phone number they provided, this was discontinued. Nextlt after several of their phone calls I went to my bank to transfer money to them. This was to get them off my back. This Bacs transfer bounced. They phoned me again and I had row. I told them to e mail with correct bank details and also pushed amount down to 60.. after e mail I tried to transfer again, it bounced again. Every time they contact they want my card details. They can whistle!. After reading this site I will ignore them. Thank you all.

Worst company I've ever dealt with!

Bought a hamper of bits once, and boy do I regret it! Although the food was alright, it was not good value. So I decided not to order again. Not that they got the message. Over the last few years I have had hard-sell phone calls every couple of months. I started by politely declining, then requesting to be removed from their lists, then getting so annoyed I end up telling them to F-off and never bother me again! Over the last year or two I simply don't answer any calls from Italy (a +39 international code).
If you want to REALLY annoy someone put their phone number on a San Lorenzo call list.

Disgusting company - avoid any dealings with them

Our experience is similar to that of so many of the other reviewers here. They contacted my 89-year old father, confused him and sent him a hamper that he did not want and then charged him an exorbitant amount for it. We asked them to take it back and cease all contact with him. They continued and continued to contact him, trying to get money from him. Given the other reviews I see, their MO is clearly to pray on vulnerable people - a shameful way of doing business. They are clearly disreputable and I would advise anyone coming across them to avoid any dealings with them and if you have had a bad experience with them please warn others/ report them, as I have done, on local community forums, to your local Trading Standards etc. Maybe then the authorities can investigate them

Disgraceful company

Disgraceful company. They target old people like my 89 year old father, send an unsolicited package of Italian food for which they want £73 and then relentlessly contact the victim by phone, letter and email for payment. They deliberately intimidate and abuse old people. How low can you go? Our package is going in the bin where it belongs. The sales team led by 'Sarah' should be ashamed of themselves.

They were in touch today trying to send…

They were in touch today trying to send me a 6kg food package for 73 pounds.
Glad to say I never agreed to this.
They have my name and number and address.
If a package comes to this address it's going in the bin.
I never accepted nor do I want .
Just put the phone down if they contact you.
Sarah contacted me and at the end of it she was insisting I was lying about my gender identity.
Ended very nasty.

Clearly reading a script. Quick to try and get your details.
Told by cold caller that they cant remove my number because it's generated by a computer, which they can't access.
After explaining GDPR rules, the caller laughed and said she'd ring me again soon.

Worse than bad

Worse than bad!
I am a uk lawyer and have had an absolute nightmare with this company cold calling my 80 year old diabetic father.
They will not take “no” for an answer.
Rude and uncaring staff hell bent on securing an order and even arguing with you about refusal to purchase.
We have blocked numerous calls and they still find a way of calling.
Please avoid the plague.

Received a parcel from these people… Scam

Received a parcel from these people today, which we did not order. Had no idea who they were or what they do. Waste of time phone call to them oll they kept saying was we had a cold call from Sara ( whoever she is ). Told them not interested and for them to collect, like talking to a brick wall. Their operative rang off no resolution. Need to get some advice on this as they want £73 for rubbish we don't even like. COMPLETE SCAM COMPANY

Don't buy here. They will never stop calling you.

I order once and told them I wasn't pleased with their product.
Since then, they have called me hundreds, if not thousands of times.
In the beginning I answered and told them I wasn't interested anymore and that they should stop calling.

This company is a really annoying company that will never give up pestering you.

Bought some oil and pasta years ago

Bought some oil and pasta years ago. Nothing special. You can buy so much in the local supermarket.

When they kept ringing I made it clear I wold not be interested in ordering again and to take me off their list.

Since then I must have had 100 calls in the last couple of years. They won’t listen!

Blocked the caller but they use a different number every time.

They’re a waste of space and must be thick.

Please don’t use them - you will regret it.

Terrible

Terrible. They got my number somehow and called me about 20 times a day. I kept blocking them and they’d call from a new number. The same lady every time. I kept telling her to remove me from her database but she kept calling. Eventually I called her a few choice words ... they’ve not called since. AVOID this olive oil nonsense. Scam!

Having been cheated by San Lorenzo by receiving a package of food samples that we had been promised was free but still received a bill of approx. 630DKK. We've been fighting back and forth with them to cancel this bill while they also made harassment with countless phone calls.

The story in short.

After receiving the package of food samples with the bill, we immediately send an email to San Lorenzo and made them clear that we have not agreed to receive a package for payment, we refuse to pay the bill and that they must send a return label and we will send the package back.
There is NO response from them besides that they keep sending several payment reminders via post where the bill gets bigger and bigger, and we keep sending them mails which they do not respond to.
Further, we begin to receive letters from a law firm in Italy, which San Lorenzo claim they have now handed over the case to.

We now take hold of the Danish Consumer Council TÆNK, to get advice and guidance on how we should relate and how we really stand in the case in relation to not paying the required bill.
They assure us that as long as they do not have documentation in the form of, for example, an email or an audio file where we say yes to the seller by telephone and accept to receive the package for payment of DKK XX, they cannot charge us payment.
We keep writing emails to San Lorenzo where we refer to that they must be able to send us documentation of the agreement (which they do not have) otherwise we do not pay. They just respond back with the fact that we have to pay and that they have now sent the case to Italian debt collection!

We take hold of TÆNK again, which sends us to the European Consumer Council, as we are dealing with a foreign company.
They confirm that if they do not have proof that we have agreed to receive the package for payment, they cannot charge us money and in principle the package is ours because they themselves have chosen to send it so that we can deal with it as we want.
The European Consumer Council advises us to send ONE last mail to San Lorenzo where we once and for all make them clear, that we do not pay as long as they cannot provide proof of the agreement, that we will not reply to further emails from them and that All correspondence if they want to proceed with the case, must come through a Danish debt collection company.
We have not heard any further from San Lorenzo, neither pr. mail, post, reminders or letters from the Italian law firm!
The fight lasted for just over half a year and the last payment reminder from them reached to approx. 1500 DKK.!

Conclusion

If you are not interested in a package from San Lorenzo for a fee then hang up the phone as soon as you receive a call from them!

IMPORTANT never agree by telephone, mail or post, to receive a package for payment, as long as they cannot document you have agreed to receive a package for payment, they can never charge money from you.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Food nice quality Italian but the postage costs are exorbitant. Pacrel cost £63with about £20 (and that is being generous to them) of deli style food inside . Worse they keep calling and calling and calling and calling even if you tell them to remove you from their database numerouse times.

Now going to email and insist on removal of contact details under the EU General Data Regulations.
