I cannot fault the customer care all the dealings I have had now and last March have been excellent. As for the product I reserve Judgment, I will have had 3 pumps in less than 18 months. that said... See more

I Had a CT50 Xtra shower pump fitted around 18 months ago if has now seized solid . I have tried to claim on the 3 year warranty and after sending photos of the install was told that it was not the correct pump and installed wrongly so therefore no refund which I find questionable as it was fitted by a highly respected plumber in my area. Their answer to solving the problem was to try to sell me a new upgraded pump at a cost of £376 well over twice the cost of the original pump. I have read quite a few 1 star reviews and the seems to be normal practice for this company so if you need a pump with no warranty this is the company for you.

The Technical Support advisor was really helpful and e mailed if she had any questions re my photos. The turnaround from start to finish has been 1 week to reaching a solution. Excellent knowledge of product and service. I would recommend buying their products solely based on their technical service.
Very happy customer.

In short DON'T !
I installed a Salamander CT Force 15PT close to our shower which is 15m from the hot water tank. After two years in situ it screeched and then stopped working. Seized solid. The flow sensors were still working fine. Wanting a quick fix, I bought another to swap it over (stupid fool). Knowing that the installation wouldn't meet Salamanders expectations, I avoided the waste of time claiming warranty (see many other 1 star reviews about warranty claims) and asked about spare parts and or a repair service. After numerous emails to Tech support, and many Salamader brush-off responses (Sorry for the delay in responding to your email. If you have already spoken to the team, then please disregard this email. If you still require help, then please respond to this email with your query.) they eventually gave in and said they could not offer a repair service or parts, only warranty replacement (Ha !). For a company that claims to make the pumps in the UK, I am surprised that parts are not available from their factory. As the pump was installed to service the shower only, this meant it only ran on average no more than twice a day, not every time there was a call for water anywhere in the house. You'd think after 30 years manufacturing experience, they could produce a pump that would last longer than 2 years (especially as my previous pumps from other companies lasted more than 10 years each). I'm overhauling our shower room in the New Year and will make sure I can simply swap over to another companys' pump (many recommend Stuart Turner) with ease.
In response to your response, your Warranty requirement is within 4m of the hot water tank. Hence not compliant for warranty, hence request for repair. 4m is not very far in many properties.

I have had a couple of Salamander pumps over the years. Purchased from Toolstation/ Screwfix.
This review is about the CT Force 30.
The pump seized after 2 years. Makes a burning smell and a noise like it's stuck.
Go to the Salamander website as still under guarantee.
The process involves uploading something like 17 photos showing the installation (all the files must be Jpegs of a certain size or you'll need to start all over).
After a couple of days, an email from Salamander asking for more photos and additional tests (on the non-working, burning-smelling, seized pump).
I took the pump out and put another in.
I'm not about to refit the broken pump for the pics, am I?
The warranty process is designed to hinder and frustrate. By design.
This is my second Salamander pump and my last. Pretty shi**y service from Salamander.
A couple of weeks on from my review ( and Salamander’s feeble corporate BS reply) They offer to send a tech around to look at the broken pump at a cost to me of £130+ VAT. Sure, I’m going to pay for an engineer to have a day out at my expense to look at your burnt pump. I’ll post it to you, how’s that? You can keep your garbage. Your “guarantee” is just posturing. Not credible.

On my 2nd pump now in 10 yrs, Just had a major failure on a part that shouldn’t fail. The shower pump hose failed on hot water feed to shower when the one piece moulded hose had split apart and flooded the cupboard pumping hot water onto floor and ceiling below and tripped all the electrics. It was a proper mess, the hose moulding completely failed by snapping from hose stop check valve point and the pipe to shower feed seal (the copper pipe still connected to fitting and seal but separated by pumping of the water). I contacted Salamander by email with picture of failed hose on 19/11 and got auto reply they would respond in 48 hrs over a week on and no contact other than further email saying if not heard back to email info again! I’m really concerned the 3 other hoses could also fail + replacement I had to get fitted. Also in case other customers hoses are at risk. Extremely poor no response yet and below standard expected on their service.

I cannot recommend this company enough, especially Vikkie, who provided the most outstanding customer service and care.
I’ve experienced ongoing issues with numerous shower pumps and within one telephone call Vikkie identified the problem and provided a solution. I can’t thank her enough.

Just thought I would provide an update to my previous review. After the abysmal performance of the Salamander pump and being charged for the privilege of an ‘expert’ visit to advise me that the installation was rubbish. After more than 2
years my Stuart Turner pump is still performing well and quietly, with the same plumbing as was ‘rubbished’ by Salamander.
I’m sure Salamander thought I had forgotten all about them. But I have never been treated so badly by a company before or since. Avoid these pumps and this company like the plague!

Absolutely fantastic customer service!
We had a CTFORCE20TU pump fitted for a wet room just over 14 months ago, it's been great up until this week. Unfortunately it seems that the original installion was missing an aeration valve which has caused the pump to eventually fail. Here's where the company excelled themselves (Vikkie in particular) in customer service. The pump warranty was invalid because of the missing valve BUT after hearing about the personal circumstances which have occured over the last year Vikkie has kindly authorised a new replacement pump to be delivered at no charge. She, and Salamander have restored my faith in human kindness.
