I really was for this company at first. Their food came well packaged was tasteful and met my nutritional needs.
However, they’re one of these companies that keep sending you products even after you’ve notified them and they just use your credit card and abuse it. I’m already out about $800 and this was completely unnecessary. I was willing to order more food when I needed it I was even gonna recommend them to a couple friends, but I’m not now.

BEWARE!!! Found the Sakara website difficult to navigate so I cancelled my subscription the same day, 3/23/26. So to say the least I was very surprised when today (4/6/26) I received a box from Sakara. Unbeknownst to me if you subscribe & cancel you must also cancel any (related) orders in a separate email request to Sakara customer service. If not, any and all (outstanding) orders will ship and you will be billed. The rep who I spoke with this morning was uncooperative and just kept repeating the same verbiage. Why Sakara cannot convey this information in the (subscription) cancellation email is beyond me. I can only surmise they hope this happens and exploit unsuspecting customers.

I was an avid user of their metabolism product for years. I stopped using it for a bit due to cost. When I was able to afford it again, I resubscribed with the intention of also trying their meal plan.

I discovered they had changed the ingredients and the new ingredients gave me heart palpitations. Previously, the ingredients were more natural and very minimal. The new concoction they have is a hot mess.

Cancelling was near impossible and they do not accept returns- not even if the box is unopened.

Stay away- sadly, this company has gone downhill.

Sakara has a basic plan and then some additional specialized plans you can sign up for. I selected one of the fat burning specialized plans to get more information on it. A screen came up letting me know if I choose it, I am locked in. I selected cancel. But their system locked me in anyway, to $350 a week for 3 weeks. The payment was due to be automatically withdrawn that evening and I could not access my payment information anywhere on the site, and their customer service was closed. I called the bank and shut down my card. This should not happen. On the subject of value, you get beans and rice in a salad for $27. What I do like is that the meals are designed for gut health and they do work. But you can make it at home.

Sakara Life offers nutritionally complex, tasty meals that are fully prepared. The price point is higher than Thistle, but is comparable in terms of (delicious) taste, trendy recipes, and quality ingredients. Sakara's differentiator is branding - developing a sleek, glitzy image and expanding into various products to become more of a lifestyle brand.

Inedible. No matter what we tried putting the powder with, it was terrible tasting. We could not cover the taste enough to drink it.
