Bad veterinary practises are endemic.

Bad practises are endemic in the veterinary world of the UK.
I followed the pricing which seems clear on their website, but when they made a request for payment it was practically doubled. It is highly likely that this constitutes a breach of trading standards regulations—specifically, a misleading omission under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 (DMCCA) (which recently replaced the criminal provisions of the older Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations.
If they have done this to you, report them via the Citizens Advice portal.
