We have done the Lake Maggiore trip in june 2014, which was why we came back. The tour guide was Debbie this time. I can only say what an exceptional tour guide this lady is! First class with local knowledge and going above and far beyond to be helpful and informative with all passengers. Hotel was Regina Palace in Stresa, which was the best touring hotel we have stayed at. The food and service were excellent all round.

Booked easily through call centre
I usually complete my whole river cruise booking online but this time I had some questions about the Ryanair flight and some mobility issues. So I decided to speak to your call centre where Gemma was most helpful. She managed to answer all my questions and completed my booking without any problems

Don't use an agent, book direct with Riviera
We loved our first Riviera cruise so much we wanted to book another as soon as we got back. The first time we booked through a travel agent and had all sort of problems. This time we decided to go direct after hearing how easy it was from fellow passengers. Our situation was a little complicated as it will include family members who don't live in the same country but Laurie was brilliant in finding the best options for us, securing a provisional booking to give us time to co-ordinate and then converting to a confirmed booking. The staff on our cruise were excellent and this clearly extends to those elsewhere in the organisation.

I'm a real fan of Riviera Travel. I've been on 14 holidays with them, including 6 river cruises so this will be my 7th. The booking process was easy, the staff (Daniel and Jody) were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. I know that booking with Riviera will always be a good experience.

Once again born of a bed of lies
Well what can I say my patience is running a bit thin 4 days into a 7 day river cruise and we have only moved 6 hours and that was at night other boats moving but our is not allowed there has been no response from head office with regards to the mess trip director is worse than useless people don't get sucked in to this 5 star luxury nonsense we are being treat abismoly I always say it's not buying the holiday it's how a company reacts to sorting out a problem when it occurs this has been so far the worst experience of my life .

A very helpful member of staff
Having used the brochure to choose our holiday, we then rang Riviera with some questions. Lynda was extremely helpful, emailed us further information and later helped with the booking process over the phone. She was very patient and friendly.
