perfect itinerary
So so grateful we worked with rhino africa for our honeymoon to South Africa...typically we love to plan ourselves but we decided to go with a travel advisor for this trip, and we we were so glad we did. Janine Visser created the perfect itinerary for us. From the first moment we spoke with her, she was very responsive. She quickly adapted the trip to meet our needs throughout the entirety of the planning process.
We did a mix of safari + a road trip along the garden coast. Every hotel we stayed at in was luxurious and the staff were kind and warm. A lot of the hotels I don't think we would've found on our own. Everything was seamless. Honestly the trip of a lifetime. We keep talking about going back...

Best trip of my lifetime!
Tara Beckett from Rhino arranged a wonderful trip for my wife and me. We went from Capetown to the wine country and then Victoria Falls and finished at Chitwa Chitwa at Sabi Sands. Victoria Falls and Chitwa Chitwa were magical. The accommodations were spectacular. The Falls, the animals ( big five +++), the boat rides on the Gambezi and the two a day journeys into Sabi Sands will be in my memory forever.
All of that said, I would skip Capetown (live in New York City) and just deal with Victoria Falls (the Victoria Falls Lodge) and Sabi Sands (Chitwa Chitwa Lodge). Magical/

Glen provided world-class support in…
Glen provided world-class support in coordinating a last-minute, complex itinerary. He managed the difficult downline approvals from our cruise ship with ease, allowing us to focus entirely on the experience. &Beyond Phinda Mountain Lodge was the absolute highlight, exceptional service, food, and wildlife tracking. All transfers were seamless. My only note for future trips would be to swap the Cloud 9 Hotel in Cape Town for a property that matches the "Luxury" caliber of the rest of the voyage.

Great communication from our travel…
Great communication from our travel consultant Ian in the run up to our trip. We then had a last minute flight issue (due to the airline re scheduling one of our flights, not an issue with Rhino Africa) which he resolved for us very quickly, offering several alternative solutions and giving us clear and concise information so we could resolve the problem. Ian was always friendly and approachable; excellent communication too via email.

Kristy Carthew planned our dream vacation to South Africa and it was nothing short of AMAZING!!!!!! By far, the most magical and life-changing vacation we have had. I would highly recommend Rhino Africa to anyone looking to book a vacation to Africa. We spent time in Capetown, flew to Sabi Sands for an adventurous safari, and then flew back to Capetown and were transported to Franschhoek for several breathtaking days in the Winelands. Fantastic Africa experience
We used Rhino Africa's subsidiary Out2Africa to plan our honeymoon — a safari and beach combination trip to South Africa and Mauritius— and we honestly couldn't have done it without our agent Ian K.
From the very first consultation, Ian took the time to understand exactly what we were looking for and curated an itinerary that felt completely personal. Every transfer, lodge, and resort was perfectly chosen and seamlessly arranged. The properties he selected were gorgeous and design-forward, with excellent food and service. He really understood the vibes we were going for.
What stood out most was how smoothly everything ran. When any small issue arose, it was handled quickly and without any stress on our end.

This was the first time we booked through the travel agency and we are completely satisfied. We’ve had a wonderful experience and a beautiful trip that exceeded our expectations. Not only was our contact person, Ms Alexandra Barth, always quick to help, but she also put together a wonderful itinerary for us, as it was our first time in South Africa. The hotels – or rather boutique hotels – she selected for us were all beautifully situated and perfectly suited to the heritage of South Africa. Ideal. I’ve dealt with many travel agents but…
I’ve dealt with many travel agents but none quite match the attention, care, responsiveness and professionalism of Kristy Carthew. We had booked a safari with Kristy who was really informative and helpful throughout. Unfortunately, due to flooding of Kruger National Park, the safari was cancelled. At times like this, you need an amazing travel agent to navigate the uncertainty. Kristy worked late nights and weekends to try and make a different safari work for us. Whilst we decided to wait for our Kruger experience, she assisted with our refund and was amazingly responsive throughout. Can’t wait to book through Kristy again.

A wonderful time
My family and me spent 4 days at Marataba lodge. It was wonderful and very very safe. The service was very kind and friendly. Our grandsons (4, 6 and 8 years old) left delighted with the fifty different animals they saw. A wonderful place!

We tailored our month long adventure in Kenya in January 2026. From the moment we arrived in Nairobi until our boarding doors closed going home Rhino Africa and their partners, Asilia on the ground were there to cater to our desires and see that our month long adventure was seamless in our adventures from Amboseli to Lodo Springs Loisaba, to Massai-Mara and out to Lamu and all the in-between places we stayed in Nairobi between camps. Such wonders included, Karen Gables ( our favorite) but not to be outclassed by staying at the Giraffe Manor, an exquisite experience of its own as well as two Hemingway hotels too!
You can find many “Group” African tours, but this is truly a personal experience unique to anything else you will ever have.

Our experience with Rhino Africa was absolutely perfect. We worked with Justine to plan a two-week trip to South Africa, including stays in Cape Town, Winelands and a safari.
