Experience was a disaster

At least in Nottingham, they are LYING!
They are SARCASTIC and AROGANT!

We were looking for a property and needed somewhere quickly due to starting a new job. When we entered RexGooding to look at a particular property it was no longer available but Alicia sat with us and showed us properties within our price range. She agreed to show us a property that same day. We took the property and since our first interaction, Alicia has been our first point of call if we've had any issues. She has been prompt with sending documents through and made our renting experience so easy when it could have been really stressful!

Really pleased with how everything has been handled. Nothing was too much, all of our queries were answered promptly and we were able to move into our new property without issue or delay.

I’ve rented from a range of landlords in my time and Rex Gooding have been the best. They were fair with returning deposit, responded to emails in a quick and professional manner. Repairs were made when requested. No complaints.

My experience was awful. I was trying to find a property before relocating from an overseas country. I called the office and arranged three viewings on the same day. I talked to one of my friends who lives approximately 300 miles away from where the properties were located. When I called the office, I asked not once but twice to different staff if a family of four is allowed by the landlord, and the answer was yes. Then, my friend saw the properties and we applied for the property that we liked. Our application was accepted and we were asked to pay the holding deposit. I was going to make an overseas payment but I just wanted to confirm the move-in date and asked if a discount would be possible. However, the staff returned me that the property is not suitable for four people and therefore they canceled the process after they directed me to pay the holding deposit. They even claimed that I didn’t state that we were 4 people in our application, but, I gave all the details in the application form, even for the ages of our kids. After all, when I reproached, they said that there was another application and the landlord decided to go on with that application. It is already difficult to arrange all these renting things from abroad, and this agency made it much more difficult.

The staff are friendly and very helpful. If there is a problem with my rented property they quickly let me know and then follow with a reasonably priced solution - I have real peace of mind knowing that I don’t have to worry about anything to do with the management of the property.

Rex Gooding have been looking after our rented properties in West Bridgford for many years. We have always found all the Staff to be exemplary - very efficient, very approachable and professional. In fact perfect in every way, even during these difficult pandemic times. A great recent example would be Alicia who organised a complicated changeover of tenancy with great organisational skills and attention to detail, while keeping us informed every step of the way. Thankfully house now sold, through another West Bridgford agent. Initially RG make all the right noises but experince shows they don't deliver. Disconnected, miscommunication. Their probabte valuation was also over by £50k compared to another valuer - HMRC were happy to accept the lower valuation saving us £20k in death duties. So RG would have cost us £20k extra in tax. You can do better.

Been at the rented property for over 9 years! Wouldn’t recommend Rex Gooding to anyone! Unprofessional, bad customer service, the staff are patronising, sarcastic and actually think they are better then everyone else. Jackie Richards needs to learn some manners when talking to tenants. They sent me a section 21 in the pandemic when they couldn’t, wasn’t even signed or dated, when got solicitors involved they suddenly had a change in tone and all of sudden became polite!! Ended up taking my dispute to TDS as they didn’t want to give me my deposit back, they had false claims against me.. rubbish company and even rubbish service!! Avoid at all costs!!!

Just want to share that Rex Gooding in West Bridgford Nottingham are Amazing there is particular young lady Reah who is Credit to the company. Any issues that i have addressed with prompt action shes on the case. The organisation does put leaders mangement to shame who where my previous agents. Talk about Duty of care and attention to detail i would recommend Rex Gooding 100%👍

Rex Gooding is the epitome of BAD customer service. What do they actually do all day?
They don’t return your calls.
They don’t return your emails.
They don’t send you receipts.
They don’t send you information they promise when they actually answer the phone.
They do lie.
Absolutely if I could give nil poi I would.
Bad.
