Great Workforce

The owner of Revolution Campers has behaved in an appalling manner with customers and the workforce.
Having seen the dedication of the workforce at the factory and dealt with Andy during our Campervan purchase, they have delivered a great product and (in Andys case) behaved in a honest, professional manner.
Do NOT judge the workforce, they played no part in the recent closure, we were lied to only two days before the closure (hence 4 stars) and are owed hundreds of £ worth of kit but cannot and will not blame any one other than the company owner for the situation.

Van conversion - great; Aftersales - utterly abysmal

A very mixed bag this, but overall I am sticking with 1 star because the whole experience has been very stressful, especially when large sums of money are involved.
5 stars for build - I cannot fault the conversion of the van we have (eventually) received. The campervan conversion looks stunning, is sturdy and will hopefully last us a good few years.
1 star for everything else - the sales process was promising. Andy was helpful, he Zoom called with us and talked us through our spec. I was replacing a written off vehicle and so hoped build and delivery times would fit needing a daily drive for work. The van went into build after a considerable delay due to the finance company recommended by Revolution wanting to have no dealings with them - that was the first warning sign. I secured alternative funding, paid the balance and the van went into build. It had a delivery date set, and then it was pushed back - fault with gas... and then we missed the opportunity to collect in person (6 hour round trip... back at work) and so it would be delivered... date of delivery it was recalled as the EML came on for a DPF issue... back to be fixed... When it was eventually delivered to us, it was missing an Adblue cap - purchased by me for around £45 - and had not had an MOT which we had not realised and the engine light was still on, so back it went. It also meant us having to cancel (and be charged full costs for) an expensive meal out which we had planned for our first weekend away - we could not get to this as the vehicle was not taxed. Revolution kept the van for 2-3 weeks, MOT passed, the Adblue engine issue was apparently looked at by VW... I have now had it for a couple of weeks and it would seem that the Adblue issue has not been fixed, but the main problem is our warranty now does not count for anything as Revolution have, as of last Friday, gone into administration.
Jonathan, the owner, promised a great deal. We do in fact have a great van with a good build to the conversion... however, I am quite concerned about the recurring issue which will no doubt cost me when it should be covered by the work done on it. Ultimately, the owner of this business has a lot to reflect on as aftersales has been largely non-existent. I was patient and polite throughout and wish now I had been firmer. I feel very sorry for those who have given deposits when clearly it was apparent that time was up for this company.

Unbelievably awful.

4 months of lies and rudeness and still not resolved. Rather than try to resolve the issues, I have been offered my money back a number of times in a very rude and abrupt manner. I am happy with the van except for a few minor issues and to be fair they did do some good work on it prior to delivery. There was and still is a small snag list of things they said they would do but haven’t. It was a 2014 trade in van they had just received. It was advertised with a good service history so I believed them as they said they knew the owner and were building a new van for them. Turned out they didn’t have any. I managed to get the name of the garage from them and had to go to the garage myself to collect it (1.5 hrs away) after 3 months as Revolution said they couldn’t due to GDPR ( Catworth Service Station - fantastic customer service). They only had history back to 2019. Revolution response to this is they’ll give me a full refund and they only advertised what they were told. The experience has been really stressful. So many empty promises with me having to constantly chase them after days and weeks of nothing from them. Jacob was good and tried to help but appeared to have no influence to get things sorted. From my initial viewing early Feb I was told it would be ready in 2-3 weeks. I eventually got it after 2 months. Jonathan is unbelievably rude and I am amazed he is in charge of the company.I even thought I had been scammed at one point. I checked Companies House which said the company was being struck off due to financial issues ( it’s free to check this out). Like a lot of companies, great when things go well but soon turn nasty when things go wrong ( and that wrong was entirely their own doing). I’m sure my experience is the exception from reading many other reviews but just be cautious and check out everything they tell you before buying.

Initially went to have a look around…

Initially went to have a look around and with the intention of part exchanging our 20 plate motorhome, spoke with Jacob from sales who was very helpful and had a pleasant manner. I saw one that I was interested in and then spoke with Jonathan the owner and discussed a part exchange deal , he came up with figure which was only 1k short of what I would have excepted he then promptly took 1k off the price of the van and also added a bike rack, solar panels and an awning rail supplied and fitted and included in the price. We shook hands done the deal, had small problem with the starter motor which was promptly replaced job done. A decent experience and would recommend a visit.

I have just ordered a new t6.1 camper…

I have just ordered a new t6.1 camper from revolution and it is on order, so far I am very happy with the customer care and the tour of the factory, it has a family feel to the whole set up and I believe I got a great deal, nothing is too much trouble and lots of advice to help you make your choice, I have been told the van will be available in July so can’t comment on the delivery time just yet but got no reason to doubt them, I can’t wait to get my new van and will keep you informed of the status later on, so far all positive and nothing negative to say about this company,

A great company to deal with

A great company to deal with. I highly recommend a visit to their factory, it really brings to life the build process. Friendly, accommodating and the quality is second to none. The options available are vast and nothing is too much trouble. If you want a high quality converted camper, go to Revolution Campers.

Two sides to customer service

We were initially very excited to find Revolution Campervans, as (in comparison to some other van conversion companies) they seemed to have a great customer service, reasonable prices and good quality conversions. So we placed a deposit on a van with them. Unfortunately, due to the lack of availability of the van we wanted, and with having to wait until Autumn due to demand, we rethought things and made a subsequent decision to reprioritise life and put the money towards a house move first, before looking to get the van next year instead. We explained this and apologised to Revolution and said that we liked them so much in the initial sales stage, that we would be back in 12-18 months to purchase our van. Sadly though, at that point, the great customer service ended abruptly, and getting our £2500 deposit back turned into a huge debacle. We ended up having to speak to 3 different people over countless phone calls, trying to get our money back. Each time, each person ensured us the payment would be made straight away, but it never was. After 3 weeks, multiple excuses, empty assurances, and downright defensiveness, we discovered today that they didn't even have our bank details (which was odd, as we had obviously given them the details when we paid the deposit). We even had to give them the details twice again today, as someone had written them down wrong the 2nd time round. Thankfully we did, FINALLY, get our money back today. But not before having to really push for it. At one point, we'd been given so many excuses by different people, that we became worried we were not dealing with a legitimate company and might be facing a small claims situation. We can't tell you how disappointed we are - for something so simple to be so difficult. It is important though to re-iterate that our initial impression of Revolution was extremely high. They were very attentive at the sales stage. It's a huge decision and a lot of money that people look to spend on a campervan, and it's imperative that the purchaser is able to trust the people they're dealing with. I am sure that, had we simply bought the van, we would never have been privy to the 'other side' of the service, and been very happy with our purchase. Sadly for us though, due to this experience, we've lost trust in the company, and we will be looking to buy our dream camper somewhere else.

I am certain that the response we get on Trustpilot will indeed try to paint the situation differently. I feel sad as a customer these days that people cannot be truthful about a situation, and that customers feel powerless to do anything but try to point these things out to other people. In short 3 weeks is a long time to be waiting for £2500 when we were told we would get it through immediately (and no, the two account runs a month were not explained to us).

Sorry for hear your frustrations, but I feel obliged to respond with the series of events surrounding your deposit refund. When we initially heard of your deposit return at the start of the month, we of course honoured the request. At the time it was explained we run 2 separate payment runs each month dedicated to any refunds or reimbursements. As the start of the month payment run was missed, your refund was to be processed in the mid-month payment run. I personally took a call on the 15th June asking why the return has not been processed and I explained it would be processed on Monday 19th. Our Accounts Manager this week is on annual leave and any payments over a certain amount need to be signed off by the owner who was also away from the business yesterday (19th) therefore it could not be processed until he was due back in – which was today (20th). When I myself spoke to you this morning requesting your bank details (we do need keep clients bank details on file – and the only payment info we had from yourselves was your card details from your deposit payment) I wrote a digit incorrect which we rectified with yourself this afternoon and your return was processed. I can only apologise for my mistake in writing a number incorrect, but made contact with you immediately to rectify. It’s frustrating you feel we have given multiple excuses and empty assurances when I personally explained the situation on the phone last week and assured you this morning the payment would be processed. There has certainly been no defensive actions, just our standard procedure explained regards our returns policy. Revolution Campers produce between 45 – 60 brand new conversions each month and we have many procedures and policies in place regards invoiceing, returns and reimbursements which need adhering to. It’s a shame you have lost trust in our company when we strive to be fully customer focused and we are very proud of our levels of service from initial sale and throughout the after sales journey for all our Revolution community of clients and dealers. Once again please accept our apologies for the wait and we wish you well in finding your camper elsewhere. Revolution

Stunning Camper

Like many folk during the past 14 months or so, we have had a major re-evaluation of life; choosing to get a campervan was one of those. The next stop was who to choose - there are many converters out there, but there was something about Revolution that grabbed us - their approach, their commitment to quality, their offer to bespoke, their claim to be different. Their vans looked contemporary & appealed hugely to us. From the moment we began discussions with them, we felt in control and valued as clients/customers. Because of the pandemic, all our discussions were remote, but this did nothing to diminish our confidence. Andy and the team are highly knowledgeable and truly passionate about their work - and their outlook is infectious. Our van was delivered as promised and the Bright Orange as stunning and standing-out as we hoped for. The team at Oundle sorted a couple of last minute changes too, at the behest of owner, Jonathan. The interior of the van is stunning and the attention to detail exceptional. It feels like a home from home (not a converted vehicle). We can't wait to get out there and camp, turning a few heads in the process (with that colour!). Adventures indeed await...

Revolution quality conversions

We looked at many other options prior to starting a relationship with Revolution, the competitors just couldn't match the build quality and attention to detail we now receive with this product, this makes the whole transition from dealer to end user a much more pleasurable and straight forward process all backed up with great aftersales service.

Amazing Customer Experience

A BIG thank you to all the team at Revolutioncampers; we are over the moon with our new Noah van. The whole experience from start to finish was superb, Jonathan and the team were attentive, full of ideas and very proactive throughout, from the moment we picked up the phone to driving the van home. A big plus was the factory tour, we got to see our van been built and met some of the team who were working on our van, a great insight into how the vans get built. If you are looking to buy a high-quality VW camper with a team that really cares about what they do, then we would highly recommend using Revolutioncampers.

A very happy Craig and Sarah :)
