Poor value for money
went there for probably the 4th time. This time with family and we paid for a 3 bed. the kitchen was really small compared to the other places we were before, even if we were more people. we went to the paint pottery and discovered we had to pay for the ceramic only once there, and on top of the money paid for the activity table. I have now called 4 times to arrange for the expensive pottery we paid to be delivered. one week ago the pottery replied my call saying tsomeone was going to send me an email. nothing. called 3 times after and I never got to speak to the pottery again. Today I called and when I refused to call back again and demanded to be called back by the pottery when free the person on the phone put the phone down on me. Unbelievable poor customer service, given that they are at fault. Really poor value for the money you pay.
Very disappointing
We go pretty much every year and this year we get a phone call saying that a pipe has burst under the floor in the lodge we were staying at 9:30am the morning we were to attend. They moved us to another lodge which was a clear downgrade and at the opposite end of the park to the other lodge we had booked. We had booked 2 lodges for 6
Both The fridges were warm, ours smelt like rotting food, the oven poured heat into the room rather than cooking the food. The soap dispensers taken and holes left in the tiles. The dishes and glasses were visibly dirty. The plug socket next to the bed didn’t work the floor was poorly hoovered and to top it off they have offered only £135 refund and an £80 voucher for the allocation fee after paying £1539.00
Very dissapointed with the outcome. I asked for £250 and they flat out refused
A great stay!
We returned to Longleat after an 8 year break and it did not disappoint.
We read reviews prior to coming, the high majority being excellent, with some bewildering 1 and 2 star ratings. We have also seen reviews from a family whilst we were there and can only come to the conclusion that those who post low star reviews are after a free holiday. If I were to write a review as these people do, it would be as comical as theirs are.
For example and noting some things others had written (please note, this part is a pretend review to show the thoughts of some people who are clearly used to their huge houses and 5 star all inclusive holidays):
1. There was a shower over a bath and we had to climb in
2. We saw wildlife and it even came and sat outside our door - in a forest no less!
3. There were flies - in the summer, in the heat!
4. They were carrying out new building work and essential maintenance to improve the park - how very dare they?
5. We saw rubbish bins, with rubbish in
6. There were people everywhere
7. There was a beach, with sand that got into my shoes
8. We had to walk
Honestly, we are genuinely shocked by what the minority has said! Do not listen to those reviews, unless you want a good laugh :)
Just back from a 4 night break and 5 Stars from us!
Centre Parcs has made so many improvements to the lodges, play parks, activities and general overall appearance and it looks great! They are currently making even more improvements to the swimming pool changing area and areas of Fir, but none of these affect your stay. It is all boarded off and does not detract from the surroundings and noise is kept to a minimum. We barely noticed as we were having a great family holiday and were interested to see the new changes.
1. The staff were excellent in every area we visited.
2. The new Adventure Nets was fabulous fun and a full unintentional work out!
3. Our lodge was a 3 bedroom, one bathroom, one toilet, one level lodge. Clean, tidy, brilliant size.
4. Wildlife was super to see outside and woke up to have a deer lying down right outside - beautiful
5. Flies in the lodge. We went to buy fly spray, but it was sold out, so we were advised to ask at Guest Services for assistance. Guest Services were great and while we were out, we were left a note from Sheree (thank you) to say she had sprayed all around the lodge for us - no more flies :)
6. Our toilet sink was blocked - again approached Guest Services and the very same morning, Luke (thank you) came in while we were out and left a note to say he had replaced parts of the piping and had also checked the bathroom sink and cleared the U-bend - excellent service yet again.
7. Changing area for pool and lockers works well and the same as any swimming pool changing area, it gets dirty from peoples shoes and the cleaners do their best to keep the floors clear and tidy. However, it would help if the people themselves put their own rubbish in the bin instead of leaving it for the cleaners, but this seems to be a problem with the world!
8. Easy to book and change/cancel activities and if we got stuck with it all, Guest Services were excellent in their help.
9. Food was always excellent and the amount of food was always too much to eat!
10. Activities were absolutely brilliant
11. Loved walking around all the different parts of Centre Parcs - always have, loads of different areas to explore
12. The new Leisure Bowl area is wonderful
13. Part of the children's area in the pool is closed off for improvement and refurbishing, but there is still the other half of it which is great for the little ones and plenty to do
These are just a few things that made our stay great and we would definitely visit again and we highly recommend Longleat. Well done Longleat, an excellent stay!
5 star mobility scooter, wish I had one like this at home. Great Holiday.
Hi just back from Whinfell Forest Center Parcs and have no complaints. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. It is a bit expensive but that is to be expected with it being Center Parcs. We also tried the home delivery takeaway and the food was lovely, hot and came on time. The main reason I'm doing this review though is i had to hire a center parcs mobility Scooter because I have a lung condition and there's not much information on them on line so I'll try and give a bit more info. 1/ the scooter was very comfy with a wide seat, 2/ Whinfell Forest is very hilly in parts and this mobility scooter went up them with ease. 3/ I was able to go into all inside and outside areas with the scooter, 4/ the range is fantastic, one day I was out for about 5hrs from one side of the forest to the other and it still showed a full charge at the end. Side Note- if you get off the seat the scooter turns off even if it's showing lights as on so you have to turn the key off, wait a couple of seconds and switch back on and it'll start again. 5 star mobility scooter, wish I had one like this at home.
Centerparcs I imagine gets a bad wrap…
Centerparcs I imagine gets a bad wrap because of its cost, and other things but… the decor is great the lodges hotel rooms and family lodges which I’ve stayed are great, the staff and cleaners and friendly, the food…we’ll comeback to that… the grounds are lovely and you do feel like your on holiday, well stocked part market which of course it’s a little more expensive your paying for convenience.
In terms of travel cost to get to the shop… there isn’t any.
So getting back to food. We have eaten in all restaurants and whilst the food in all are really good it is pricy, let’s not argue that the bar is pricy and they took away using cash since Covid but continued being a cashless park everyone which for me has had its annoyances.
Food in the sportscast can be nice but evening meals are not good.
Lots of people complaining all the time when you’re there.
Something has to be done about that surely but the breakfast lovely. Drinks are also lovely.
Erm… one gripe I have is when they removed the over 18 slot machines section, we used to enjoy that especially and there is no night time entertainment atall it can see a little boring at times.
But I still give it a five star for what I’ve experienced and I’ve been going with my family for nearly 20 years now and my wife has been going since she was a child. Must be doing something right.
We did use the boats last time and had a blast. Not to expensive actually.
Rubbish customer service
Well , it’s 30 degrees +, I arrived at center parcs Monday the 22/6/26 to find out that the thermostat in our app was not working showing error 2502, we contacted customer service to be told that someone would be out, when we came back later that evening no one had been here so I phoned, to be told sorry and someone would come the next morning after a sleepless night I had to go to CS and asked when someone is coming they told me that someone is coming today 100% , just got back it’s now 5pm and after another phone call to be told no one is coming WTF , after. Heated conversation on the phone they sent a engineer round who told us that they knew there was problem Monday morning and that we were correct that even tho it is not air conditioning it’s climate controlled, we have been lied to several times and nothing has been done exit more lies lies and lies
Currently staying at CentreParcs…
Currently staying at CentreParcs Longleat.
We paid £60 for Early Access which seems to have compromised the standard of cleaning. The dining table still had someone’s food on, the bedside tables were dusty, squished fly on the bedroom wall, the rug in lounge smells awful, kitchen sides had watermarks.
Separately my husband has fallen ill (on our second day) and we were hoping CP might be able to help by moving us to a different lodge to allow husband to isolate, as there are some empty lodges, but they wouldn’t. The reason we hoped they might help is we have a 3 month old baby, and 4 year old, and really wanting to avoid the whole party becoming ill (also here with my mum). So myself and baby are camping out in the lounge. They offered clean linen and towels.
Visited the ParcMarket to try and get some cleaning products, but the only spray they have is for “daily use”, they have no bleach, nothing that cleans virus’, so we’ve had to go off site to purchase.
Child Safety Issues

Title: Cleaning chemicals left next to toddler's bowls – safety breach ignored
We stayed at Woburn Forest in April. The lodge was dirty on arrival – rusty drainer, dirty bedroom floor with a Bible on it, BBQ full of ash, patio unclean.
But the worst part came after I reported these issues. A staff member came to clean, and later we returned to find open cleaning pads and cleaning materials left on the kitchen worktop – directly next to our 21‑month‑old granddaughter's baby bowls and bibs. Within reach of a toddler. Right next to items used for food.
When I raised this with Center Parcs, their customer service agent told me the cleaning supplies were "not harmful" – despite having no idea what the specific products were.
After weeks of emails and being passed between teams, Center Parcs refused to properly acknowledge the seriousness of what happened. Their final position? The same £100 they offered at the start (20% of our break cost). No meaningful apology for the child safety breach. No explanation of how open cleaning chemicals were left next to baby items.
This was never about money. It was about a family resort failing to protect a toddler and then dismissing our concerns.
We accepted their offer only to move on. But I cannot recommend Center Parcs Woburn Forest to anyone with young children. Child safety is clearly not a priority here.
Aggressive unacceptable behaviour
We have been loyal Center Parcs customers for years, but our latest stay at Woburn Forest was completely ruined on the final day by a disgraceful and aggressive staff member named Jade.We spent over £3,000 to bring a family of 12 together to celebrate my daughter’s milestone 21st birthday. On checkout day today, a housekeeper named Jade turned up at our lodge at 10:15 AM. She aggressively stated we were meant to be out at 10:00 AM and immediately threatened to call security.Instead of handling the situation professionally, she actively refused to leave the property. She stayed inside the lodge and attempted to incite an argument with myself and my family. We have never been spoken to or treated with such disrespect by any member of Center Parcs staff before. To have a wonderful family celebration end with intimidation and hostility inside our own accommodation is entirely unacceptable.I am lodging a formal complaint regarding Jade’s appalling attitude. Spending thousands of pounds should guarantee a standard of hospitality that Center Parcs completely failed to deliver today. Management needs to address this worker's behavior immediately.
Love Center Parcs Whinfell but avoid takeaway food
Love Center Parcs Whinfell, but avoid ordering a takeaway!!! The restaurants are fine, but the takeaways are absolutely inedible! Found out that they are not prepared in the restaurant kitchens themselves. AVOID!!!!!!
We stay in Winfell Centre Parks and the whole experience was brilliant …
We stay in Winfell Centre Parks and the whole experience was brilliant. Are Lodge was very clean , it had everything we needed and more. We where left dishwasher tablets washing up liquid and clothes and even toilet roll. The beds where comfortable and very clean. The towels can be taken to the pool and deposited in the towel bin after use, there is also a spinner for wet clothes. (No time limit in pool time). All the restaurants and cafes where very clean and the food was excellent. We found checking in and out was very easy.
Stay Somewhere Else
After a massively disappointing stay in a variety of ways (I was so looking forward to my first visit but shocked by the experience) we were offered a £50 discount off a future stay rather than being reasonably compensated. As if we'd ever go back!
This confirmed what I already suspected, they're exploitative rip off merchants and I'm writing reviews anywhere I can to make sure people are at least aware of the fact unlike I was. Everything is completely bang average at extortionate prices and I don't understand the hype.
Very disappointing stay due to unresolved ant infestation
We stayed at Woburn Forest from 16–20 March 2026 and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience.
Our lodge had a significant ant infestation affecting the bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. This was reported, and although we were told it had been resolved, the ants returned the same night, if anything worse.
This disrupted our sleep, distressed the children, and both myself and my daughter were bitten. We also had to keep belongings off the floor due to the scale of the problem.
What was most disappointing was the dismissive and at times patronising response from Guest Services. We did not feel taken seriously.
We accepted a £50 voucher initially in good faith, expecting the issue to be resolved, but this was clearly not sufficient given the ongoing problem.
We have now submitted a formal complaint with photo and video evidence and are awaiting a fair resolution.
Very disappointing, particularly as long-time visitors to Center Parcs
Bike Thieves, Insecure Site, Beware
Had a mountain bike stolen from right outside our chalet next to a child's bedroom, the onsite security guard told me 9 had been stolen on the Friday alone, and holes had been cut in the fence.
Seems it's quite a common occurrence, so it would have been nice if people were warned about gangs of bike thieves operating at night, armed with bolt cutters (the bike was secured with large motorcycle chain). Customer services were completely pointless offering no more than the telephone number of the police and to contact my insurance duh.
I had to chase down the security and no substitute bike was offered, 4 days spoilt. Wait for the glib, AI generated, response here I suppose.
Probably doesn't fit the family-friendly, safe environment image because it's not really like that, in my experience.
Don't bother with the quiz either as it's another app based cop out (didn't work due to WiFi failures) so more queuing for refunds.
Paradise and Perfection
The activities were so fun and the staff were so cheerful and full of comfort.
The subtropical swimming pool is so immense the fountains are likely so delicate and sophisticated The lodges had spectacular views surrounding them The location is so nice there It was pretty quiet there,The lodges had so much items in the kitchen Bowling was so eccentric and absolutely spectacular The balls were so original.
Went to center parcs with friend for…
Went to center parcs with friend for there birthday. Phone up before hand to tell them I had an Assistance Dogs. They were very helpful. Swimming pool look after AD while I swam and wasn’t annoyed when I kept asking how he was. Was very welcoming and told me how he been at end when they brought him down.
Management have lost the plot
Sherwood forest center parcs was a construction site. I cannot tell you how bad it was this year. From the wild water rapids being closed every time we tried to use it, to the dump of a site with construction all around us. 30 years going, 1 year of it going to pot. Who the hell treats it's customers like you did this year.
Center park .. Do not buy online vouchers.
Please beware when purchasing online vouchers for use in Ireland. I received a voucher purchased for use in Ireland, which is part of the EU.
On trying to use it I was informed it was purchased on an EU site -which Ireland is a member of -, therefore it could not be used in Ireland.. Customer service is impossible. The whole thing is very disappointing and does not make sense to me. I really love CP, which is why my friend purchased it for me as a birthday present but I have asked my friends not to purchase a voucher from CP in the future.
Longleat unbearable noise from Lorrie's beeping all day long
We paid a premium to have a lodge within easy access. What they neglect to mention is the lodge is near a construction company so beeping Lorrie's and chainsaws going all day. Not the peaceful escape in the country. I phoned up to lodge a complaint which did not go well and was very unhelpful. Be warned you may well end up listening to the sounds of a lorry park. Room
201. Avoid.
Surrounded by constant demolition/construction work all week
Spent the week surrounded by construction work due to nearby lodges being refurbished. We called guest services every day at 0750 when they started, and was told nothing could be done, and that they shouldn't have been allowed to start work that early.
We were given a voucher and 3 hours of spa access to get us away from the noise for a little while, but told there was nothing else that can be done on site.
After 4 more days of daily complaints and visits to the guest services, we were given an email address of the head of guest services who we were told would be able to compensate us further, but we had to wait until after our stay to e-mail them.
The response from the complaint took several weeks to come back, and we have been told there's nothing that can be done as it's in the terms and conditions that it's possible that you could end up in the middle of a construction site for your holiday. They have offered us an apology in an email and £100 off if we book again.
Useless customer service.
