This bank's online banking website and app have become entirely unusable, and I cannot ever get a response from anyone without calling and waiting 25+ minutes.
I lost a debit card. I used to be able to go into my online banking self-service and order a new one. Now, it just gives me an error that Salesforce isn't working and the website administrator needs to be notified. I go through Search Online Banking and search for assistance on ordering a new card. The result is a link to another, non working webpage with an error that the content doesn't exist. I fill out a contact form explaining all of this. 30 hours later...still no response. So I jump into live chat, which is also completely automated. And it gives me the same non-working link. When I ask to speak to a human it just repeats the non-working link. The app is no better...there is nowhere at all in the app to contact anyone, or to report a lost debit card and order a new one.
This used to be a good bank. But these days, I think I'll have to go to the trouble of having my paycheck direct deposits rerouted to an account I have with a local credit union, and to the extensive trouble of setting up my mortgage, car payment, car insurance payment, etc to come out of that account through ACH rather than Republic, because they have continually degraded and downgraded their online banking to the point that almost none of it works, or works well. Every few months, they implement something new in online banking that either adds extra complexity for simple tasks, or just includes numerous links to broken, non-functioning webpages. Such a shame when you cannot access your own money because it's in an account that is totally inaccessible, and not one single person there is capable of replying to a contact form message, or picking up a phone in less than half an hour, or answering live chat.

Over 5 weeks ago I had $183,500ttd taken from my Republic Bank account Park St Trinidad and Tobago.
I have completed statements for the Bank and the Police.
I have only this week been contacted from the Corporate Security Investigator, he said he needs to get my IB profile logs from yet another department before he can finalise his investigations, and this may take another 2 weeks.
I asked him when am i going to get my money back in my account, he said he did not know.
Republic Bank customer care has not had the manners to even reply to my email.
I am just hoping that this review will get back to Republic Bank, and that someone who cares will return my money.
Republic acts as the go between 3rd party for tax preparer platforms and advertised that I was eligible for my tax refund transfer fees to be waived and made free due to my income bracket upon subject to review and I need only to have to check the box to approve them as the official user of electronic funds transfer to my primary checking account minus the fees. It was misleading and Not true at all as I've been using online tax preparer platforms for over 20 years and this is the first time I was charged a fee for my state tax return though their very own pop ups said it would NOT qualify for users like me that fall into a lower income bracket but hit me with $55 transaction transfer of funds fee though they said in there pop up message that this wouldn't apply to me. They lied! They are not reputable or consistent with what they put forward in their advertisement.
I was declined for a easy advance. I never had this issue now the year of 2025. I'm not able to get one, it's very upsetting that the system is automated on who receives an advance. You have to wait a total of 30days to even get a statement as to why they wouldn't approve the advance. It's ridiculous. They also have Ai and third party handling all of your information.
Republic Bank is the only bank that I have used in over 40 years and it comes very close to being in a credit union. Checks are usually deposited quickly there’s overdraft protection they’re local and handy!
The only problem is they do overdraft on items that come in for direct withdrawal when the dates may not be what you assigned and they have no program to protect you from early withdrawal!!!
