Booked a house moving with Walker, Little Houghton in Northampton.
It was a horrendous experience. They steal and take no care of your household good.

During my recent house moving 1st April, 2021, the crew stole 12 bottles of 10 year old Spanish Red wine, 6 bottles of special German liquors ( 100 litre bottle).
The crew seem have no training, they damaged 1 mantle clock, by broking the pendulum.
The total market value and sentimental value worth thousands of pounds.
A total disaster.

We were suckered in by the surveyor Rob and the salesperson Dean. They told us what a fantastic job they would do. They would put floor coverings down, they would put the TV's in padded bags, they would treat our belongings with the utmost care. The truth is far from this. On the day of the move it was raining, but there were no floor coverings, so they walked muddy footprints through both houses. They rammed everything on the vans with no care whatsoever and as a result of this they put a hole in the fridge door, ripped 2 doors from a cabinet, ripped a foot from a wardrobe, and ruined the main TV by smashing something into the screen. Despite us paying for the additional insurance, this bunch of cowboys have said they are not responsible for the damage to the TV, and have offered a paltry amount for the rest of the damage. They were not the cheapest, even with the extra discount offered, but they should have been, because the service they have provided is by far the worst.
save yourself the hassle of court action and use a reputable company.

We paid over £800 for one large lorry and 3 personel. We were packed and ready to go by 9 (one table to remove the legs from). " men and a Luton Transit appeared. Nice enough guys but no sack barrow and no tail lift meant our furniture received a number of knocks and dints. We paid them to take our 2 beds apart and reassemble them at our new home. That night my husband was crawling around under our bed tightening bolts etc just so we could use it.
I did call the customer service number when the guys arrived but the man at the other end was deliberately misunderstanding my anger. He kept saying 'but it will be done, you will be moved'. They had to make 2 journeys which meant I couldnt be in both places at once. Furniture was just heaped into the dining room. The boxes were clearly labelled but this was ignored. Only when I arrived did things find their correct room.
No-one has called or emailed for feedback - funny that.
We had problems with our broadband connection for 2 weeks after we moved in and due to busyness I havent complained further.
The sales guy was wonderful, as were all the contacts up until the actual move. Its just a shame this is all window dressing for a shabby job.

Awful awful awful! The movers broke my glass table within minutes of arriving and said it was broken already! It was shrink wrapped and they dropped a vase on it! They walked around the house taking pictures of things like the tv still attached to the wall and sent them to head office and then has them call us and threaten us saying we wasn’t prepared to move ( it was 9 am and we still had a few last mins bits left to do) they called us after the van was fully loaded with all our things and the two lads had gone to McDonald’s for a lunch break. The phone call from the area sales manager was unbelievably rude he should never be allowed to speak to customers ever! They demanded final payment with threats and intimidation. The lads worked hard with basic equipment I.e their hands. We had a huge American style fridge freezer that they lifted with their hands and carried to the cab having to stop and rest at least 10 times. It was barbaric at least give the boys a trolley to help them! They spoke very limited English and it was a chore to communicate with them! I doubt very much the movers are insured! They just deny any damage! Think twice before ever using this company they are not a professional company and they do not care about anything but taking your money. The gentleman that came round to do the quote was the nicest man and so kind and that’s why I chose this company but don’t be fooled behind him are a bunch of money grabbing cowboys!
I’ve never complained about a company before you can check my history but I have to save someone else from wasting their £800 for a basic move with no customer service.
