We take billing concerns like this very seriously and want to help clarify what happened, Huey.

Annual plans are prepaid, and charges are tied to specific transactions on an account. If something doesn’t look right, we’d like to review it closely and provide a clear explanation.

Please reply to our private message or reach out to our team at forums@redpocket.com with your account details so we can investigate and assist you directly.

DISAPPOINTING SURPRISE AFTER SURPRISE

Switched from Verizon direct to Redpocket's Verizon network. I can't tell the difference in day to day cell & data coverage. HOWEVER, Redpocket customer service is TERRIBLE. 1st. surprise, with Redpocket, you can only roam in EU with Redpocket's AT&T network. So, for a trip to EU, I had to change from Redpocket's Verizon network to Redpocket's AT&T's network. Tried to figure out how to switch on the Redpocket website. Its confusing as heck. Surprise #2. Called Redpocket's customer service. Well, nobody seems to know how to do this, so you wait.... and wait....and wait on hold while they try to figure this out. Surprise #3. Back and forth between hold and "thank you for waiting". After about 20 minutes of being on hold, still no resolution. So, I hung up and called back, hoping a different Rep would know how to do this advertised feature. Surprise #4, they don't. Back and forth between "thank you for patiently waiting" and being on hold, time, after time, after time. Then you wait some more. Finally, after about 30 minutes, I was told that in about 1-2 hours, my plan would "automatically" switch with no action needed by me. I asked and was told it would be a seamless transfer with no down time.

Suprise #5. About hour later, in mid call, my phone stopped working. No phone, no internet. Red pocket had e mailed me something called an E sim. Surprise $6. It was up to me to access, download and install a e Sim. Kinda hard to download from a phone with no service!

So, bottom line:
1. No EU roaming on Redpocket's Verizon network;
2. Expect long and frustrating waits to activate features like network changes;
3. Expect that the call rep won't know how to help you and will repeatedly put you on hold while trying to get help in the background;
4. If you change Redpocket carriers, be prepared with another computer so you can download and install the new E sim.
5. Don't believe them when they tell you that a network change will be automatic, seamless and not require you do do the install.

Low cost service, yes, just don't try to take advantage of the features you pay for because its a gigantic, time-consuming, and complicated hassle. Starting to think Redpocket is a mistake. BEWARE.

We’re really sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate you taking the time to share such detailed feedback.

We’ve taken a closer look at your situation, and it appears the disconnect was related to roaming while on a CDMA network, which did not support international roaming in a specific region. To cover this, your line needed to be moved to our GSMA network. During that process, an unexpected conflict with the transfer contributed to the delays and disruption you experienced.

The good news is that this has now been resolved, and your service (roaming) should be active and working as expected.

We understand how frustrating the experience was, especially with the time spent and the lack of clarity during the process, and that’s not the level of service we aim to provide. Your feedback is extremely valuable and helps us identify where we need to improve.

If you have any remaining concerns or would like us to double-check everything on your line, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team at forums@redpocket.com. We’d be more than happy to assist further.
