Technically-Not-Malware Distributer

Sketchy Company that forced me to reimage a computer. I made the mistake of skipping past a checkbox during a separate install, and noticed that Reason Cybersecurity has not only installed itself, but made itself the default security app. Okay, I'll just uninstall it... NOPE 'this action has been disabled'... okay I'll just force it to stop then uninstall it-same error- I tried switching back to Windows Defender, and this was also disabled.. Time to download Revo Uninstaller to force this program out - the install of Revo WAS ALSO DISABLED. I was locked into this (probable) spyware, and had no way to get it off my pc, even as an IT professional...

Bloatware Antivirus

Installs a (fake?) antivirus as bloatware through installers of other applications. Uninstall is made incredibly difficult, would pose as a massive issue to non-techsavy people.
Keep far, far away.

Is a Virus itself

Installed itself on my Computer without ever asking me, probably came bundled with another program I downloaded without it ever telling me. This Antivirus is the Virus itself.

Bundleware, uninstalled!

Bundleware, installed itself on my pc without consent. Was able to get rid of it but for the file size the installer was purposefully slow and split itself into 3 parts.

Stealthily installed on my PC without my consent.

This company's antivirus software (Safer Web) automatically got installed on my pc without my permission. I don't even know how it appeared out of nowhere. Never downloaded nor visited their website nor clicked on any funny links. Freaked me out and I clean uninstalled it the moment I discovered. Imagine an "antivirus" software that acted like a malware. Stay far, far away!
