A terrible company. Paid Gold Plus Insurance plus medical condition as I am type 1 diabetic. Had been recommended for the Libre 2 plus sensors which last 2 weeks and are registered to my phone. Saving... See more

Make the process so complex to discourage payment
If I could give this company minus 5 stars, I would not hesitate. My husband suffered a brain haemorrhage, and we were asked to provide several documents, including the hospital discharge letter. On top of that, we had to pay for a certificate from our GP because the official hospital discharge wasn't deemed "enough."
Now, after several weeks, we're being asked to provide 'no show' documents from the airline and tour operator—even though we didn’t book through a tour operator, and the company should know this, as they’ve had all our documents for months.
The amount we're claiming is relatively small, which makes the whole thing even more ridiculous. And don’t even get me started on the usability of the online form—it was a nightmare to complete.
At every step, this company has made it impossible to get our money back.
Avoid, avoid, avoid.
BAD BAD BAD !!!!!
This company are very unprofessional. The staff are inexperienced have no customer service skills at all. There quite rude. They will do anything so they don't pay out. **STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY**. Also be aware Annualinsurance use this company. I am taking action against this company.
An absolute disgrace of a company!!
An absolute disgrace of a company!!! Don’t email or phone you with any information on your claim!!shocking!!! After cancelling my holiday due to the death of my father no compassion at all!!
terrible insurance service- avoid completely
terrible insurance service. for 3 years they have been evading paying out our claim. petty excuses such as formatting etc, name of files and somehow we are always missing information. having to escalate to ombudsman.
sorry to buck the trend
sorry to buck the trend, but my claim was settled in full, less an excess, and in the time advertised.
total claim £991.22, excess £75.00, received £916.22.

The reviews had me so worried that I wouldn’t get my payout but my experience has been pretty positive. I took insurance out via multi trip. Got sick a day into my holiday and had to have treatment costing nearly 1000€. Made a claim as soon I returned on 27 May and realised claim handled by Reactive. Form was pretty straight forward and uploaded all medical docs. Acknowledgement email saying could take up to 14 days to respond but I called today and was advised my claim is logged to be looked at and should get a decision today. Happy to say that in just a few hours I received a confirmation email that claim accepted and would receive payment within 14 working days. So all in all positive. I’ll update if payment doesn’t arrive!!
Avoid at all costs
We had the misfortune to have to claim while out in Cambodia. Surly, unhelpful, unresponsive service. We had loophole after loophole of why we couldn’t be recompensed for legitimate claims such as curtailment of the holiday to basic living expenses while we waited for 13 days for repatriation. In the end we contacted the Financial Ombudsmen who helped us but the compensation left us well short of what we paid out. After 24 months plus to add insult to injury the hospital have chased us for fees as they haven’t responded
Appalling customer service
Appalling customer service. My travel was cancelled by the train company. I called the number on my insurance policy and advised I could book a hotel and claim for the cost, and continue my journey the next day.
I did just that, but when I submitted my claims form to Reactive Claims I was informed my claim was invalid.
I provided details of the call and was told I’d been incorrectly advised by my insurance provider, and Reactive Claims are a third party claims handler. They took 2-3 weeks to reply to each email. Several months later I’ve still not had the cost of the hotel reimbursed.

professionals in delaying tactics and asking for unneccesary information and taking months to respond to emails, the customer service is some of the worst I have ever come across, check the TripAdvisor reviews for ReActive Claims and you'll see that 80% of the reviewers have rated them at a ONE STAR.
I've been waiting months for a simple claim to be processed, I have sent them all the information they need and over 20 pieces of evidence to support my claims, and still they don't reply, there advisors on the phone just repeat the same non sense about Oh the claim is being looked into.
Avoid at all costs
Excellent service, and prompt payment
I was so grateful for Reactive Claims Ltd decision to award payment, after finding myself in particularly trying circumstances, their understanding and care was very much appreciated.
I received prompt payment, having provided the appropriate documents, I'll certainly return to Reactive Claims Ltd for my future insurance requirements.
Obnoxious and No Empathy
I have just tried to make a claim for a holiday that my husband is unable to go on due to being very ill and the treatment required will not allow him to travel. The person on the phone was quite obnoxious and had no empathy whatsoever. I wish I had read the reviews before taking out insurance with All Clear. I do not recommend this company - steer clear.
The back office operation for Allclear…
The back office operation for Allclear Insurance. Incompetent, slow, obfuscating, add other, similar adjectives at your discretion. We eventually got our payout. Do not use Allclear as your claim will be handed over to these miscreants for settlement.
Honestly the worst people to deal with
Honestly the worst people to deal with. Delaying tactics when trying to make a claim are off the scale. Take much more than a week to get a response. Do not ever take out a policy with them!
Bag theft
My bag was stolen while on holiday. My back was turned for a moment and because it was in a public place I received nothing. I go to New Zealand often and have used this company before but never again. AVOID! I only wish I had read more reviews about this firm and just how bad they are about paying out.
We had to take out a very expensive…
We had to take out a very expensive annual policy because of my heart condition. Unfortunately when it came to our first holiday under the policy, my wife became acutely unwell approximately 2-3 weeks before travel. Her problems did not resolve in spite of seeing the doctor on multiple occasions, and receiving treatment, but we were desperate to have the holiday so we held on to the last minute, hoping things would settle. We did not want to cancel if we could avoid doing so, but on the morning of travel, she woke up clearly unwell, and it would have been completely inappropriate unable for her to get on the plane and travel. We eventually had to cancel that morning. We made a claim and sent it in along with the medical certificate. Reactive Claims then wanted more medical information which I then obtained and sent. We then heard nothing for 3 weeks, and I was getting worried that they weren't going to reply and would not settle the Claim. So I wrote an email to them, requesting why the claim had not been settled. They replied that same day settling the claim, for which we are very grateful, because it was an expensive holiday. Reactive Claims also provided very helpful advice about getting Air Passenger Duty and ATOL paid back by the tour operator.
In the end we are very satisfied with the insurance, but it was a stressful time wondering if, what we considered a very straightforward claim, was not going to be agreed and settled. It took 9 weeks to obtain settlement.
Positive outcome from a negative situation
Unfortunately due to illness and advice against travelling we had to cancel our holiday and make a claim against our travel insurance policy. Having read the reviews on the claims company (which acts on behalf of the insurer) it's fair to say that I was concerned at my chances of my claim being successful.
The claim form does require a lot of information. I was meticulous in ensuring I completed the form fully, accurately and truthfully.
I submitted the claim on Saturday 8th March.
On Thursday 27th March I received confirmation that the claim had been successful and payment would be made to my bank account within the next 14 days.
In selecting the insurer I had made sure the cover that was being purchased was appropriate for the holiday we had planned. In particular that it had a low excess, it included cancellation cover and that the cover was sufficient for the whole cost of the holiday. I also ensured that all medical information was accurate and up to date.
Given the claim was almost £10,000 I was very impressed at the time it took the claims company to process my claim and provide me with the good news that it had been successful.
My experience of Reactive Claims Limited in the way that it processed my claim has been entirely positive.
Awful third party claim handlers
Have made a claim, but they simply do not reply, even within the maximum timeframe they state they will do so on their website.
Positive experience with Rective Claims having had to make a claim for a…
Having had to make a claim for a holiday that we had to cancel owing to a medical emergency 30 minutes before boarding a plane my wife and I are very satisfied with the process and the outcome.
We understood the need for detailed information about the circumstances and appreciate that the necessary checks took some time.
Although we were insured by AllClear and had a Gold Plus policy we were initially surprised to hear from Reactive Claims when we contacted AllClear. We now now that this company operates a specialised service for the insurance industry.
We were thorough and complete in our initial medical submissions and believe this helped, with much medical disclosure of relevant events after the cancellation of the holiday.
Well done AllClear and Reactive Claims. One never knows how good any insurance is until one has to make a claim.
Horrible claims service handling company
From what I've researched online, this company is some kind of third party insurance claims handler, for multiple underwriters.
And here's some advice for you.
BEFORE you buy any insurance policy, read the policy documents, and make sure that when you read the "how submit a claim are."
There's nowhere written, "reactive claims."
This company is absolutely incompetent, and they really don't care at all about their costumers.
First of all, I bought an insurance policy with greatcover.com, I had no idea that I would have to be dealing with "reactive claims" during the claim process.
So, I submitted my claim over 1 month ago.
In all this time, I've written them like 10 emails.
So far, I've only got 2 replies from them.
I mean? this can't be real.
So far, I got zero information about my claim, they don't tell me anything. I don't know if it's being processed or if it has been denied? Or maybe they haven't even started the review.
I know nothing. I got zero information.
Now imagine this, what if I really had an emergency and I really needed help from them?
You can't rely on this company for anything kind of help.
They can't even review one very simple claim after, over 40 days??????
If you're in the UK. Read your policy documents when you buy insurance, and stay away from anybody that uses reactive claims.
These are outright scammers.
I've been an annual business travel insurance member for many years, renewing my subscription each year and even upgrading to premium. Despite only making one claim, the experience completely exposed this company’s shortcomings.
They blatantly misrepresented my policy, falsely stating that because I had a layover at a UK airport between business flights, I wasn’t eligible for compensation for lost baggage or essential work-related items. I’m absolutely shocked by their dishonesty.
As a professional whose job revolves around constant travel, I will never give this company another penny. Stay away—this is a complete scam. They delay responses, make excuses to avoid paying out, and cannot be trusted. This is not insurance; it’s a joke.
I refuse to continue with a company that fails to provide the protection I’m paying for. Time to find a reputable insurer—one that actually supports frequent travelers like me, taking up to six flights a week and moving between cruise ships regularly. Absolutely appalled.
