Terrible after sales and claims service

Cheaper and quick to take out insurance. Terrible after sales / claim service. Missed flight in July 22, genuine RTA traffic delays. Still trying to claim, despite having provided numerous pieces of evidence several times. They have used constant delaying tactic to drag out a straight forward claim for under £500. They have many improvements to make. I will be taking this to the Ombudsmen as it has taken up so much of my time and the policy wording clearly covers me for this type of unavoidable delay.

Avoid at all costs! Absolute nightmare 😫

Absolute nightmare and still continuing following a holiday in June 2022! Didn't choose this company the insurance was included as part of a package deal with Magic Breaks, never ever again. They say initially that there will be a six week delay, six months later and I'm still awaiting reimbursement of Medical costs, despite having provided every single piece of documentation requested. They then request paperwork that you have already sent!! Delay tactics for sure. I believe that they hope that you will give up.
I am now seeking legal/consumer advice following yet another email today requesting information that they have already received.
Please 🙏 don't put yourself through the agony.
Useless, useless, useless 😑 Do not take out insurance with this company, you will surely regret it.

Avoid this company like the plague

Avoid this company like the plague! . Do not use them for your holiday insurance- beware. Obviously having to claim means that you have had an accident, delays or death. This company adds to the stress levels tenfold. I’m insured with another company (luckily) and was paid within a couple of weeks.
My partner is insured by them, my mother passed away and we had to cancel our holiday. They are now saying because she was not a close relative to him they won’t pay out. So according to them, he should have gone without me, absolutely unacceptable!. I will be fighting this all the way. How come a company like this is still allowed to trade with so many negative reviews.
We just wish we’d checked Trustpilot for reviews- lesson learnt!

Waste of money taking out Policy!

Haven't had any acknowledgement from Claim submitted in October for Holiday Curtailment due to family bereavement. Took out yearly cover but will be taking out new Policy with another Company for holiday at end of January as Reactive not reliable!

I would give a minus if I could this…

I would give a minus if I could this company are crooks . After a fall on the second day of my holiday I needed to go to hospital they would not see me without a claim number I was to that someone would call me back … to this date nobody has called me . I had to go and see private drs and also pay for meds cost of 400 pds I was in so much pain . On my return to the uk I had an MRI scan which showed I had 3 fractured vertebra . I have since had nothing but trouble with them getting them to pay out . This company should not be allowed to trade they are a disgrace . I am going to take this matter further as it was total neglect on there part . To this day I am still in pain .

Informative, polite and professional staff.....

There are a lot of negative reviews left on here, but my experience was totally different. Firstly after I registered my complaint I sort out reviews of this company and was mortified with what I read so much so I expected the worse, however I received a prompt email stating it would take about six weeks to process made a point of ringing them six weeks later, prompt answer polite and informative and requested some more information. this was sent then a couple of weeks later an email stating how much would be paid, £300 pound less than I expected but they did point out that I had not included the outbound flights. so again sent these off but the settlement was paid so I thought that the the claim would be closed but no a week later the another email stating the further £300 would be paid.
Sorry for the long story but I felt that at every stage of the claim the company staff was informative, polite and professional.

No problems here

A lot of negative reviews here, however I can only comment on personal experience.
It does take a while to settle but they tell you this when starting a claim. You just have to be patient.
I put the claim in and basically forgot about it until I was told the claimed amount would be put in my account over the next 7/10 working days. I think it took 4 days.

AVOID

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! Complete waste of money. They take months to review simple easy claims, ask the same endless questions in a multitude of different ways and simply play every delay tactic in the book. Then you’d be a lottery winner to get a penny out of them! Just don’t bother

Honestly Avoid and use an experienced professional company

Took out an insurance policy for international travel. Unfortunately had to make a claim. At the start of October send all documentation to them. Waiting 4 weeks to advise that they are missing information. Sent it in same day, had to wait another 3 weeks and was told a payment would be made and two weeks later still no payment into my account. They wait for every deadline to pass before doing anything proactive. I really would spend the extra and go with a well established company as reactive claims ltd have been a shambles from start to finish. Oh and the pre recorded message every time you call advising you will be on hold for thirty minutes used to deter calls into the office

Anything but 'Reactive' - 3 months and still nothing but red tape

een on many Jet2 holidays, including one this year in August and one booked for next week. Holidays great, the Jet2 travel insurance, not so - well, if you have to make a claim, it's really bad, even though they are happy to take your money.
Be warned, I had to come home early in August as my mother was taken ill and passed away two weeks later. They are still dragging their feet (Reactive Claims is the company Jet2 uses), they keep asking me for information they could have asked for at the start of my claim and despite me sending them lots of documentation to prove my mother was only diagnosed with her illness in August, they want reams of paperwork (which they already have) to prove she wasn't ill when we booked the holiday in January.
If you phone them, their answer machine tells you to send an email, but they never reply. Last un-replied to emails, from me to them were from me on Nov 3rd and a few subsequent dates, but still no reply and them never answering the phone.
I would advise people to buy their travel insurance from a reputable insurer and not use the one that Jet2 subs out, to a tin-pot office based in Alton.

Completely useless

Completely useless. They will do anything they can to wriggle out of a claim.

They won't accept an airline certificate for a canceled flight, they want a personal letter from the airline stating exactly the same thing. Anything they can do to make you jump through as many hoops as possible.

No complaints from me

No complaints from me. Having read other reviews I was extremely anxious when I had to make a claim. However, I was very happy with the service provided albeit I think six weeks is too long to settle a claim. I had a satisfactory response to my claim after 5 weeks and the money in my account in just over 6 weeks. Communication was clear and they adhered to their timescales for completion.

Absolutely terrible on so many levels

Absolutely terrible on so many levels. No payment for a 30+ hour flight delay and a sum of £63 for no luggage for 5 -6 days out of a 7 day holiday, (nothing like what the policy states is covered), excuse after excuse (I even called them from resort as to how to pay for the essentials of proof of purchase). Next step the FSA JUST DO NOT USE THEM FULL STOP!!!!!!!!! I will fight this every step of the way as this is unacceptable on so many levels

As long as you don't expect the claim settelement!!

I purchased travel insurance via Insurefor.com and my flight was cancelled. I submitted a claim for the reasonable expenses I incurred as a result of the travel disruption. Even though these expenses were very clearly covered under the policy, till date I have not received the poyment. Each time when I chase the company, they state a new requirement. I have already provided email confirmation by the Airline as proof of flight cancellation and the subsequent re-booking. I honestly don't know what additional written proof I can source from the Airline in this scenario. Please stay away from these people. End of the day, we take insurance so that we are adequately conpensated in the event the trip is disrupted or cancelled. So if that is the intention of you buying the insurance then please save yourself the hassle and stay away from these people.

I bought a policy through jet 2 and it…

I bought a policy through jet 2 and it was rock insurance in March 22 when I booked a family holiday to Turkey. When I enquired about claiming I was informed rock sold the claims to reactive. Sadly my mum
was put on end of life care 5 days before we were due to fly and died the day of travel so we had cancel.
I’ve sent my claim back but I’ve had no confirmation of receipt they were emailed and posted. In the postal documents was an original copy of my mothers death certificate, as she died the day we were due to travel. I’m reading reviews on here and I’m really worried as everyone seems to be having difficulties getting any response at all, so far every time I’ve tried to call the phone disconnects. They don’t respond to emails despite saying contact by email. The frustrating thing is I never bought the policy with reactive I bought it through Rock. I’ve lost over £4000 and no one wants to talk to me. Very unhappy with the lack of communication and not being able to speak to this company

I was a little dubious about this…

I was a little dubious about this company after reading some awful reviews but I can honestly say that I have not had an issue at all. A little delay in processing my claim but in an automated email they did state that they were dealing with some back log and would process as soon as they could. I guess after the covid situation and the airport chaos over the summer there might be a bit of a delay. They paid my holiday money back in full (apart from the excess due which I was aware I would have to pay) after I had to cancel last minute due to unforeseen circumstances. I was told that the money would take 7-10 working days to hit my account but it was there within 3 days. I haven’t been able to fault them at all.
