I paid for 4 days parking (nearly £60), in Wells-next-the-Sea. Unfortunately, I used my old car registration, but this was not helped by the terrible 4G, which meant I had to try and pay / log in / r... See more

A car parking company that listens top marks
Looks like RCP are taking notice of the bad reviews at Bigbury on Sea, tried to pay but there was no internet connection, gave up after 30 mins of trying and left the car park, a fine of £60 arrived in the post. I contested and they cancelled the parking notice. Top marks for doing this and listening unlike other car parking firms.
Bigbury on sea again
Bigbury on sea again, poor display board led me to believe I was getting 2 hours parking for 2£ . Next week I got a fine for 60£ . Contesting the fine but not hopeful.
Rip off Britain
Running a scam
I´ve was contacted by my rental company (incurring a 35pound admin fee) that I have received a parking fine at the bigbury on sea RCP car park. There was no fixed penalty notice left on my vehicle so this was the first indication that we had received a fine. We in fact PAID for our parking that day so was extremely disappointed to have received news of the fine and the fact that RCP have not attempted to contact me to even inform me! I can confirm that we paid our parking using the app so no idea why we have received this fine. I can see on TripAdviser that this is happening to many people so can only assume this is a scam. Charge 10poinds to park and then fine you.. Disgusting.
Unethical immoral tossers.
Unethical immoral tossers.
No surprise really to read all these reviews! Fining the elderly even though they’ve paid!
Paid for parking on arrival at the beach, also Bigbury On Sea. Decided as it was a nice day to stay longer so paid for another two hours - and got charged a different price despite paying the exact same way! It even said the same price as I hit pay! No option to pay cash, one machine working all day with hoards of people. Absolutely disgusting company.
RIPOFF CAR PARKING
Thought I paid for parking at Bigbury-on-sea, to take my disabled mum for a visit as she has many childhood memories there, displayed her blue badge.
Seven days later I received a parking charge notice.
I will never go again and use this car park, it needs to be boycotted, the chargers are a huge ripoff, it will kill off another small seaside village, it was manned parking payment in my mums day, nothing went wrong then and it gave someone a job.
Hopefully one of the farmers will reopen a field, I would rather pay them, than this company, or perhaps the council will take it back.
The payment needs urgent updating, when you think you’ve paid and it’s not gone through that’s their fault having faulty equipment.
This ripoff company which is in Norwich and nowhere near this Devon beach.
A big spoiler to a lovely day.
Terrible company
Terrible company. Paid for parking using the paybyphone app that they use. Trouble is they have named their car park the exact same name as the car parking on the street, run by the council. I paid for the one that the app offered me as the top of the list trusting that the GPS selected the correct one. As it turned out it wasn't the correct car park, even though it was the exact same name. Got PCN, tried to appeal, appeal denied. Just out for the PCN money these guys. Park elsewhere.
Diabolical company
Diabolical company. sent out a demand for a parking fine when the payment was made as evidenced on my bank statement. called them and they were rude and dismissive and on two occasions put the phone down refusing to speak to me because i was justifiably angry at their attempt to extort money from me. Reported them to trading standards.
Don’t use RCP
Had a lovely day out to Wells next to sea and parked in this company’s car park. Paid the relevant fees and then imagine my surprise when we received a parking fine. Fortunately, although very elderly I paid by card and it clearly shows I paid. But, the stress it has caused is terrible. I am still trying to sort it. Don’t need this at 78.
Successful appeal
I appealed against a PCN online Monday and have today received confirmation that the charge has been withdrawn. I had made a minor mistake with the registration number. I have to speak as I find, and I find that in this case I have been treated both fairly and promptly.
Terrible!
Absolutely appaling! They won’t let you book for more than 2 hours and then once you try to extend, closer to the time expiring, they remove the ability to extend so basically it’s a trap! We were literally over for less than 5 mins and fined. AVOID at all costs! There are better parking spaces. Save yourself from headache!!
Disgraceful company
I pre paid to park in hanover st, Manchester.. then receive a notice saying I hadn’t paid so o needed to pay the £60 fine..
I contacted them & they had audacity to say on this ocassion they will let it go!!! I sent the bank transaction & email confirmation ~ disgraceful
Avoid
We parked in a car park in Crawley paid the parking fee via PayByPhone and did not over stay. 2 weeks later I received a parking fine saying non payment, I tried to contact them with no success. So I forwarded them the receipt from PayByPhone along with bank statement showing the payment and still no response.
I paid cash for a ticket in Wells next…
I paid cash for a ticket in Wells next the sea, without the machine asking for my reg details it gave me a ticket for 2 hours. After this I received a PCN and demand for payment of a fine - by pure chance I had kept my ticket. If you are in the same circumstances and have not kept you ticket then try and appeal as I have proof that the machine does not always ask for your reg number so their fine system is fundementaly flawed!
Money grabbers
We paid for the parking and then I was issues with a PCN saying we hadn't paid.
All I had as proof of payment is my bank statement, they kept asking for some other form of proof as at the time of payment they did not ask for email or phone number.
I said they could check their cameras & reg numbers. They just kept send me the same email which was really frustrating.
As it's causing me so much stress I thought I'll just pay the £60 fine, but even their online payment method does not work.
Shapoor Naghshineh, the owner,
is a money grabber. There's just no way of getting out of their PCN charges, this is how they make their money!
Absolutely disgusting theives do not use RCP carparks !!!
Do not use. Find somewhere else to park
Scumbags. Take your details online for payment then help themselves to money from your account knowing you are unlikely to ever get it back. Run the car park in Stanford le hope and so many stories in the local Facebook group of them pulling the same stunt.
Just after money
Where entering into the carpark the machine was covered as was not working instead there was a sign which said you had to download an app which I did and it gave a number for the car park which I put into my phone. I then over paid as I was going to have some cancer treatment as I never know how long I'm going to be . A few weeks later I get a fine for non payment . Now the app keeps the payment as proof so I sent them this by email as they seem guttless to talk to anyone.anyway they said I had to pay it as it was the wrong number car park that was entered but was the same number on the sign in the carpark please be careful .as these invisible people are only after your money and don't care what you are going though in life. So beware.
Received a £60 ticket from RCP in a…
Received a £60 ticket from RCP in a standard manner which is absolutely disgusting when I have proof of payment that I paid to be in the car park. Why is this company not been banned by the government?
Disgusting company and morals
If I could give 0 stars I would.
Absolutely disgusting company with disgusting morals. I went to this car park in April and paid to stay for 2 hours. The machine was being a little tricky but my payment went through and I got a ticket so assumed it was all fine.
2 weeks later a parking fine arrived. I submitted an appeal with a photo of the ticket to show that I had paid for parking. The company replied stating that I had entered my registration wrong on the machine. Instead of OE I had put OO apparently…. However reading another review below seems this happens to others too!
They have stated the fine still stands and as I have reached the end of their appeals process I would have to appeal to an independent company but not the ombudsman as they have opted not to use that service… convenient.
This company are disgusting and they have gutter morals. I will never park in an RCP car park again and would encourage others not to do so as they are ripping people off! Stay away!
Beware of faulty machine
We paid to park at a RCP car park on Freeman St, Wells next to the sea on 24/02/202. My wife went to pay within two minutes of us entering the car park only to find that the pay machine screen did not display the first digit of the the registration when entered so she entered the same digit again. It still did not show on the screen so assuming it wasn't working or not required, she continued to use machine which went to the process of taking the fee of which we paid. Within 7 days we received a parking fine even though we proved to RCP though bank statement and a detailed transaction report that we had paid. We also contacted RCP via email to say that this machine clearly had a fault or an intermittent issue. They sent us a transaction list from that machine which showed that 2 other people that same day had entered just the first letter of their registration twice but they are adamant that the machine is not at fault. It is obviously a fault for exactly the same issue to occur 3 times that day. It makes me wonder how many other people on other occasions have fallen foul of the same issue. This company is clearly of low morals and just out to make money by bullying and intimidation.
