Nearly 10 years ago, I started my Razzamataz journey, and I honestly don’t think I could ever have imagined just how much this incredible organisation would become such a huge part of my life.
From being a teaching assistant to teacher to manager and now being a Principal of 3 years has been, without a doubt, one of the best jobs in the world. There is nothing quite like being a part of children’s lives, watching them grow in confidence, seeing their personalities shine and watching them develop into little performers. It is the most rewarding feeling in the world knowing that, in some small way, I have been able to help shape their journey. The joy Razzamataz brings into my life is something I will always be grateful for.
And it really has become a family affair. I am incredibly lucky to work alongside some of my best friends, sharing the highs, the challenges, the laughs and the memories. Over the years, I have also found a whole Razzamataz family across the franchise. No matter what school you are from, everyone is always willing to help, support and celebrate each other. That sense of community is something truly special.
Head Office have also been an incredible support throughout my journey. The training, guidance and opportunities I have received have helped me grow not only as a Principal, but as a person. I have always felt encouraged, supported and believed in, and I am so grateful for that.
And then there are the opportunities and memories that I will treasure forever.
Disney will always be one of the biggest highlights of my Razzamataz journey. Watching our students dance at Disney was something I will never forget. I cried like a baby! Seeing them achieve something that fulfilled one of my own dreams was honestly one of the proudest moments of my life. To watch the children we have nurtured and watched grow perform in such an incredible place was absolutely magical.
Then there have been the West End opportunities, Hamleys workshops and so many other experiences that I never could have imagined when I first started. Being able to represent the Razzamataz brand at Hamleys was such an honour, and moments like these have reminded me just how special the opportunities this organisation creates for our students really are.
When I look back over nearly 10 years, there are so many memories, so many children, so many performances, so many laughs and so many proud moments. But more than anything, I feel incredibly lucky.
Razzamataz has become part of my core. It has shaped so much of who I am, and honestly, I don’t know what life would look like without it now.
Thank you for the memories, the opportunities, the support, the friendships and, most importantly, for allowing me to be part of so many young people’s lives.
Here’s to nearly 10 incredible years and hopefully many, many more.
Razzamataz really is part of who I am, and I will always be incredibly proud to call it my family. ❤️
From Student Support to Principal Support – Razzamataz Delivers Full Circle
Ten years ago, I worked at a Razzamataz branch and was blown away by how incredibly supportive the classes were for the students. That experience stayed with me forever. Now, as the new Principal of Razzamataz Hackney, I’m experiencing that same incredible culture from the other side. Head Office provides the exact same care, encouragement, and support to their franchisees as the teachers give to the kids in class. It truly is a family, and I couldn’t be prouder to be part of it!
Razzamataz has given me so many opportunities
Razzamataz has given me so many opportunities, that have not only helped me professional but have also made such an impact on my personal life!
I originally interviewed as an Assistant, very quickly got offered a role as an Teacher and then after two years then went through the process of opening my own branch! The confidence I have gained since being supported in a career I am passionate about is out of this world!
My experience with Razz has been…
My experience with Razz has been nothing but exceptional. Not only has it changed my life in all the of best ways, but I have the pleasure of watching and helping it change the lives of our students. It is true what they say about it being one big family, and the support from Head Office and fellow team members is unmeasurable. I am so proud to be a part of this franchise.

As a franchisee, the support from head office has been amazing. I’ve felt supported, encouraged and challenged which is exactly what I’ve needed in my first year. They are always there to support and give advice as needed. I’d definitely recommend exploring owning a school yourself and have loved my first year as a Razz School principal.

Razzmataz Preston
My granddaughter absolutely loves attending Razzamatazz Preston! From the moment she started, her confidence has grown so much. The classes are fun, engaging, and full of energy, and the teachers are fantastic at bringing out the best in every child.
She especially enjoys the mix of singing, dancing, and drama—it’s amazing to see how excited she is every week to go. The team create such a welcoming and supportive environment where every child feels included and encouraged.
It’s not just about performing; it’s about building confidence, teamwork, and friendships, which has made such a positive impact on her. I can’t recommend Razzamatazz Preston enough!

Abby hosted my daughter’s birthday party and I couldn’t fault a single thing about it! Communication was excellent, right from providing the invites and the thank you goody bags to entertaining a group of teenage girls for 2 hours. Can highly recommend these partys!!

Very disappointing experience with the Barnet branch
Our daughter joined as a confident child who loved performing and had always enjoyed drama. Over time, we started to notice a clear drop in her confidence and enthusiasm.
She began coming home from class upset and saying things like she was “never chosen” and “not good enough”. For a child who used to love performing, it was really hard for us to watch her lose that confidence.
When we raised our concerns with the school, we were hoping for a supportive conversation, but instead the situation escalated rather than being handled with care.
For a place working with young children, we expected a much more understanding and supportive approach.
Edit: Following the school’s response, I feel it is important to clarify that our concerns were never about a “Star of the Week” certificate, but about the experience our daughter had at the school and the impact it had on her confidence.
The response itself is telling, as it focuses on a single point rather than engaging with the wider concerns raised about a child’s experience. From reading other reviews, it appears that similar concerns have been raised by other parents.
For an organisation working with young children, the lack of reflection and accountability is difficult to ignore. It raises serious questions about how concerns from families are listened to and handled.

They are all about money and after inviting young students into their cohort of west end performing. My 9 year old was told twice she couldn’t go to the bathroom when she needed it. She ended up having a. Accident after being allowed to go too late with a leotard on. She continued the rehearsal with a load of teenagers which was extremely embarrassing for her,

Was great at first then quickly realise it is a money train you pay to watch and even breath any razz air they want to sign you up to any extras but not for the purpose ie trading squad wasn’t ever entered in any competition you have to pay to get any awards and when you finally leave they ignore you . Franchising failure

My daughter has been part of Razzamataz since she was just 4/5 years old, and it has been one of the best decisions we ever made. Through Razz, she has had so many incredible opportunities, from performing on stage in shows, to dancing at Disneyland, and even gaining the confidence to audition for outside opportunities like panto, which she successfully took part in!
My daughter has always been outgoing and loved making new friends, but as she grew up, her natural confidence began to fade. Since joining Razzamataz, that confidence has blossomed again. Every time she walks through the door, it’s like her worries melt away. She absolutely adores everything about Razz… the dance, acting and singing, Project Intense, and most importantly, the wonderful staff, children, and friends who make up this amazing community.
Razzamataz isn’t just a hobby for my daughter anymore, it’s truly become a huge part of her life, her routine, and who she is. The skills she’s learning will stay with her forever, but more importantly, so will the memories, friendships, and confidence she’s gained.
Thank you Razzamataz for everything you do. You’ve given her not just skills, but joy, confidence, and lifelong memories. 💜

Great experience
My son Daniel started Razzmatazz Newbury just under a year ago and absolutely loves it. He is excited every week to attend and has the best time. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who are amazing, trustworthy, helpful and friendly.

My daughter joined last October after belonging to a different theatre school all her life. Understandably she was very nervous but was made to feel so welcome that she felt like she had belonged there forever! The opportunities that Debbi has given these young people are phenomenal from working with professionals to performing on west end stages! All the crew are passionate and knowledgeable about what they do. My daughter always looks forward to going- even when exhausted from a busy week she will always bounce in to Razz on a Saturday morning! It’s a truly special place.

An amazing company to work for
An amazing company to work for! Debbi is as kind and thoughtful to her Chaperones, she is all the children and members of staff who come to Razz. I dip in and out helping out where needed, and am made to feel just as welcome as everyone else.

Takes your money and ignores you
Absolutely appalled by Razzamataz Newcastle. They promised to accommodate my child and their disability, offering weekly updates to reassure us they were coping okay in the classes - so we signed up to the direct debits. We never received a single update and felt like they had just left our child without any support. Upon expressing our concerns we eventually got an email back admitting they had not done what they promised and they didn't think that the classes were suitable for our child at present. They said they would be in touch about cancelling the contract. It's been weeks and our emails are just being ignored. We expressed our desire to leave weeks ago and requested our money back for the weeks our child did not attend after telling them we were unhappy and leaving. They broke their promise made at the start of the contract and couldn't accommodate my child - I should not have to pay for their failings.
