Piece of junk

Piece of junk. Purchased in December 2013 as a gift. Within a year, would stop sporadically, or the time would be incorrect. Repaired under warranty. Within three more years with many sporadic stops it spent most of its time in a drawer. The battery was replaced and I wore it for maybe six more months before it stopped completely. Sent to the manufacturer apparently the mechanism was completely replaced. Wore it off and on until recently. Once again stopped working, sent to the manufacturer cost of repair $500. The watch spent most of its time in my drawer, or in the repair shop . Piece of junk told them to send it back to me. It will go back in the drawer. Never again!

Cannot get my watch repaired by Raymond Weil

Bought a day/date Parsifal 5 years ago. Had the watch serviced last year at the Utah service center. Never worked after that. Bracelet placed upside down — sent back 3 (three) times! Still never worked. Repair was $469. Finally found NY location and sent watch. They do not respond to emails or return calls but just got a quote for $269 for additional repairs. HORRIBLE SERVICE. WOULD NEVER BUY ANOTHER RW TIMEPIECE. Disappointed.

Raymond Weil - high end expensive junk

I was given a Raymond Weil watch in 2017 for an important birthday. Five years later it started loosing a minute or two every day. I took this up with the company. They said it was usual to get a service of a watch every five years or so ??? and this would cost nearly as much as the original watch cost.

I bought a very good Tissot about 15 or more years ago. Cost a few hundred dollars (francs) and has never missed a beat. Also never needed a service. And no other watch I have ever owned needed one either.

The Raymond Weil watch was actually for my 50th as a present from my wife. Most disappointing watch I have ever had. And the attitude of the company stinks. Can't help but feel they designed their watch to have issues after 5 years on purpose. Most expensive junk I have ever had.

Raymond Weill going above and beyond

Wow can not express my gratitude enough, From the first communication I had with Leyton I felt reassured and confident he would do everything possible to help me. My dad brought a Raymond Weil watch over 30 years ago and unfortunately he smashed the watch and was informed my many jewelers it was unrepairable and to claim for a new one. This watch meant the world to dad and was priceless. Leyton explained he would do his best after I explained the situation and told him I would love to have it repaired so I could give it to him for his birthday. I’m pleased to say the watch is fixed and like new. I couldn’t wait for his birthday and gave it to him as soon as I received it back as I could not believe how it looked. Thank you again Leyton and the team that made a family believe in miracles.

Don’t trust Raymond Weil or regret

I don’t think Raymond Weil doesn’t even deserve 1 star but that is the minimum I purchased a RW tango for £524 in sale after 3 weeks of usage the watch stops working I have send it to Raymond Weil and now they refused to fix it they ask me for £140 which is unacceptable because the watch is u set warranty but their excuse is you should have bought it from us and we don’t accept that specific retailer which is a big retailer in London and selling luxury Swiss made watches the lady I spoke to was very rude and very disrespectful she doesn’t have the ability to listen to customers what a shame I won’t buy Raymond Weil watches again in my life they are unreliable also issues with second hands they doesn’t strike exactly on the markers why do we pay hundreds of pounds on watch which will only lasts for 3 weeks don’t buy it otherwise you will regret

Thank you to the Service Department at Raymond Weil. Highly Recommend.
My Husband and I have just had our watches serviced and mine required a new gold strap and casement as my RW Watch is over 25yrs old and extremely well worn. The Customer Service we have been given has been excellent especially Leyton who has kept us updated through the process.
Thank you again.

An excellent RW watch .

I have had a Raymond Weil Tradition automatic watch
for 30 years . Its still working and loses 15 seconds a day . Obviously I have'nt had to deal with their service
and repair department but I'm satisfied with the quality
of the watch .

Disapointed in the Quality of my first $1000+ watch

Purchased my first watch and had great expectaions with Raymond Weil. I purchased the chronograph. Within a couple of months the bessel scratched and was replaced. A month later the Bessel just fell of and now its been a month since it was sent back to the service center and no watch. In between the latch broke on the band. Im starting to regret buying this watch and should have stuck with $500 Seicos that last a decade. This watch is spending more time getting fixed than actually wearing it

Non existent after sales service or customer care

I need a very small screw for the back plate on my Parsifal watch. They promised to send me one but never did despite the fact that the screw would cost them next to nothing. I have sent numerous emails which they ignore. The service provided by them is non existent. I was going to buy another watch, but decided to buy a TAG Heuer instead. No wonder their reviews are so bad!!!

Repair paid for but not done!!!!

I sent my RW watch to RW repair centre in Janaury. I then had to keep chasing them to have an acknowledgement they had the watch on my website account. Then I was quoted £160 for the repair. Paid it and then waited 4 more weeks until watch returned today. (Emails never, ever answered so had to keep phoning them).

Sadly, watch has is not working and has clearly not even been tested! Will thus be returned for the issue to be fixed asap.

Their customer service is appallingly slow and bad and this will be the very last RW watch I ever own (after 26 years). I will also be demanding that my £160 for the non-repair is refunded. Trading standards if they will not play ball!

RW appear to have allowed Covid to overcome them and are now just plain poor.

Poor quality

I bought 2 watches from Raymond weil over the past 3 years. Both made it just outside of warranty before breaking. The price to fix them was nearly half the price of the watch. Shocking quality for an expensive watch. Take your money elsewhere.

RW Freelancer broken

Just saw these reviews and decided to contribute - Bought a Freelancer a few years ago now, but only got about 1 or 2yrs wear out of it before the dial (or maybe the whole mechanism) came lose and was freely rotating inside the watch case. It was sent to RW at the time and they said it was my fault due to some tiny dings on the case, which had caused the anchoring pins to snap?!? They wanted me to pay half the price of the watch to fix it. In my view a poorly made, overly expensive watch. It’s been dumped in a storage box in the garage ever since…

Buy other brand!!!

I'm very disappointed and shocked with Raymond Weil.

I changed the battery and lost one of the tiny screws in the back, they refused to sell me one. I can understand not selling a movement, or internal part, etc. but a screw in the back???

They want me to mail the watch to them, they will sell me the screw, plus labor, plus shipping it back, plus tax, for a total of around $60.00 to replace 1 small screw for outside the watch.

I would never buy from such a company again, neither should you!!!
That's my opinion.

PS Permission to pass this along.

Terrible company

Terrible company, terrible quality. Bought three RW watches, two have failed just after warranty expired with very light use. After purchase service is non-existent. Stay away from this company.

Don’t bother. Honestly a bad buy.

Bought an expensive watch years ago. Lost links on the strap. Raymond Weil said they couldn’t provide a replacement strap. Now left with a useless watch. Customer service was slow and unhelpful. This is a company that charges fairly high prices and offers zero customer service or support. Avoid.

STAY CLEAR OF RAYMOND WIEL WATCH.Where…

STAY CLEAR OF RAYMOND WIEL WATCH.Where…
STAY CLEAR OF RAYMOND WIEL WATCH.Where do I start I purchased a ladies Raymond Weil stainless steel piece of rubbish watch £1400 with diamonds waterproof to 50m but this means it can only be showerproof.when I purchased this watch the battery died after two days Beeverbrooks changed this then a few years later my wife went to set the time and the whole pin came out of the watch so I had to pay for this to be repaired as the warranty had ran out £150 for a service and put new pin as this was down to Raymond wiel After two days this watch got condensation inside of it, so had to send it back again because there said the vacuum needed done this was after the service which was supposed to be under warranty still so when this returned again a few more days it happened again when my wife went in the shower so I had to send it in again but this time there said it’s been submerged in water and will cost £480 to fix I refused and breeverbrooks said there would go half as a goodwill but why should I when I paid for this to be fixed and has never been right from the day I bought this watch I have a £12 seiko watch that had the same spec and I have had it for 15years been swimming been in the shower and even the sea and is still working so the moral of this story is keep away from very expensive watches especially Raymond Weil who could not care as long as there have got your money off you and then could not give a damn. This watch has never been right since it went in for repair. now I am well out of pocket and hope this will make people think about buying Raymond wiel watches from breverbrooks and always remember that you have to get these serviced every few years at ridiculously amounts money £150 to keep warranty that’s not even worth the paper it’s wrote on .And now they are trying to charge me £480 for repair that’s not even my fault. Now I am going to trading standards about this.

Terrible service Will never buy again and Tell all my friends how bad the company is …

My Don Giovanni watch list a case back screw. The service department would not replace the screw without a complete service that it does not need for $200 claiming it is company policy. I contacted an authorized dealer and he confirmed the service department is a rip off. My impression of the company is 0/10. Very poor business strategy and service.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!- What a disappointment!

I received a beautiful RW for a special birthday {I was so excited}. Upon receiving it, I registered it with the RW club for an additional year of warranty. A year went by and I needed a battery change. The complete change of battery and servicing of the watch was going to be 125.00 {for a battery- nothing to service, it's just a year old}. I was advised that the warranty would cover the service- so no problem. They shipped out the watch to the authorized service center in Mississauga, Ontario. To make a long story short, I got a hold of RW in New York to inquire about my extended warranty and all that neat stuff. I sent them all the paperwork but they advised me that Costco purchases were not covered under warranty and not an authorized dealership {listen I'm a consumer- I know nothing about how corporations in this sector work}- RW wanted to check with the Purchasing Dept. and forwarded my email to them. They requested the unique serial number engraved on the back of my watch. Their email to me said that they would get right back to me. The service was on hold until they could get back to me and I advised the authorized service center. Finally after 3 weeks- I wanted my watch back... I NEVER heard back from anyone and my watch arrived at the store I brought it to for the battery replacement. I had to pay 125.00 + taxes. So instead of Purchasing Dept, getting back to me- everyone ignored me and my emails {even the 2nd time I wrote them} including the service center In Mississauga. Sorry, but I expected a courtesy reply not to be ignored like garbage. A reflection of the company and all their Management no doubt. You're better off with a Swatch- it's also a Swiss movement!!!!
