Established as a limited company in 1946, we have been producing high quality ladders and access solutions from our head office and manufacturing facilities in Forfar, Scotland for over 79 years. We are a family-run business split into two divisions, Ramsay Ladders and Ramsay Access, allowing us to provide ladders and access solutions for a variety of sectors within the commercial and residential markets. Although renowned worldwide for our original Loft Ladder, our product range at Ramsay Ladders is as diverse as the purposes for which they are used for. Regardless of its purpose or the environment in which it is to be used, every product is designed with the latest innovations and manufactured to a standard that few companies can match.

Careless delivery

Delivery came several days early with no notice and was left outside my house for hours meaning it could have very easily been stolen. Extremely careless customer service. No issues with the product itself.

Incredibly sturdy ladders

After deliberating for a few months we took the plunge and replaced our ladders with a pair of Ramsay ladders. The quality is just amazing and they are the most sturdy ladders I have ever used. Just wished you had extended the offer of free delivery from December in to January as the £27 delivery is quite expensive.

The customer service was great!

The customer service was great! We had our ladder for some time before we were ready to fit, when we realised it was too big for the opening. I explained this to the lady on the phone and she arranged (fuss free) to have it picked up at the same time the smaller one was delivered! Nice and easy! Thank you!

Outstanding service

Absolutely top class service for our 30+ year-old loft ladder! It had become really stiff and a joiner had advised it would need replaced. Contacted Ramsay’s one evening by email, reply and phone call the next morning. And just a few days later, cleaned, serviced and repaired, it works like new. And the invoice didn’t break the bank.

Replacement parts still available

I have lived in my house for over 30 years and have a large loft, only accessible by a Ramsay loft ladder that is well used, probably 2-3 times a week. As the sliding slippers and bushes were showing signs of wear, I thought that I would check to see if these could be replaced so was quite surprised when after such a long time I found a replacement bracket on the Ramsay website that included these parts. And better still, when it arrived it was identical so very easy to replace. Great service!
