Rajanis is an institution around my part of Bristol. We joke about how you can get anything there. It is truly an emporium!! I always come out with things not on the list. They have full length aprons with pockets👌🏽, vast selection of kitchen items, toiletries, big size washing up liquid washing etc and big packs toilet rolls. Plus vast selection of spices, tins, big sacks of some things like rice. And tools and fuel and garden stuff....too much to list it all! And a 10% discount for pensioners on Thursdays. You need to apply for a card first I think, not just turn up at the till.

Wow!

Wow, I took my car there… and I’ve never ever seen or felt like my car was brand new again and felt like I was driving it off the forecourt for the first time! They ensured that every aspect of the car was done before retunjnb it to
Me. I couldn’t believe a had a brand new car again for the amazing cheapest price I have found in Bristol! Will never ever go anywhere else!

Very disappointed

This company is not complying with the Consumer Rights Act 2015. I purchased an item in-store, and when I opened it at home, I discovered it was damaged. I returned to request a refund, but the staff refused, claiming I had “used” the item. It’s impossible to use a product that is already damaged upon opening. I am still well within the refund period, yet my statutory rights were dismissed. The staff member I spoke to was also very rude throughout the interaction.

Beware price increase at till

Just went to buy some car paint. On my way to checkout I noticed a box of out of date crisps marked up as 20p clearence. I picked up 2 bags but the lady at the till rang them up as £1.99 a bag. I pointed out that they should only be 20p and that's the moment she forgot she could speak English. I was there for 5 minutes struggling to get through to her and get her to knock off the fraudulently over priced crisps. She was clearly being obtuse and didn't want to lose a sale.

Enjoyable Experience : friendly & helpful family run Alladin's cave

This store is Huge &Lovely & Friendly : its still a family shop run by really nice people. Massive selection , thousands of things ! you never knew existed ! - or wanted , or needed ! ( but suddenly you do ) covering all aspects of life wait to be found ... It is a real experience and you must allow time to explore as it is warehouse sized on two levels . It also has toilets including a disabled one and they are by the front door !! Not miles away and hard to find ....Trouble can be actually finding one particular thing ; you may have to ask but people are very helpful tho' some staff are not always so good on english. The prices are perfectly reasonable and not rip-off at all - quite the reverse. They keep the subject aisles constant and don't constantly move them around like supermarkets do . Hooray !!! Bathroom stuff stays where it always is ; kitchen ditto , and so on. So after a few visits you learn your way about. It also has two external add-ons outside, a fruit and veg stall with a wide and diverse selection including eg okra , and an absolutely whizzo brill car hand wash (with outstanding shine results). I sometimes come just for the car wash - but then Rajanis lures you inside .... its almost inevitable. In a car park ( with disabled bays) & at the furthest end of a lane at an unprepossessing road turn off you have to persevere to find the wonderful experience that is shopping at Rajanis . You want just one thing ? Allow 1 1/2 to 2 hours while you go down various rabbit holes.....
The food sections are on the far right , and the garden stuff on the far left.

The man at the front where the alcohol is is a arse. He tried to pick on a elderly lady and when I stared at him he didn’t want to even look at me🤣 He also seems a little racist which is funny considering where he works…

Their customer service is excellent

Their customer service is excellent! I’d ordered a cover for my electric propagator & it arrived broken. I followed their instructions which were on a returns label inside the box. It said to take & send them a couple of photos which I did. Rajanis replied immediately, saying they’d send me a replacement. It arrived within the same week as my original order. I wish all returns/replacements were as easy as Rajanis, well done people 🙏

Dreadful company

Dreadful company. As soon as I found out that they use the worst courier company in the World in Hermes, I just knew there would be a problem. Hermes lie when they say no one was in and failed to deliver when the customer was in all day. Blatantly lied today saying that the delivery was made but no delivery received. I know no one who trusts Hermes. I am assuming that their driver must have stolen my items as not delivered. Bought through Amazon who are guilty of allowing companies like Rajani to hide behind them as an Amazon Seller. Do not use and certainly not whilst they use Hermes

An Alladin's Cave

I've been using this place for many years. The massive range of goods is truly astonishing. From the mundane to the weird Ranjani's has it all. Everything you need for the home is there plus lots of garden essentials, food and DIY tools. Plenty of pet-related stock from food to toys. I found special pants for dogs in season and a good range of squeaky toys. Delighted to find squirrel baffles to stop the greedy things stealing the wild bird seed. The cafe does good basic stuff. I like the bacon sarnies. Yes it's a tad chaotic but that's good because you may well find something you never knew you wanted. The staff are very helpful. You only have to ask. The one thing I would improve is the toilets. They need a refurb.
Go and visit this wonderland you certainly won't be disappointed.

Ordered set of 4 white egg cups via well known smiley face Co. Dirty grey dust in packaging. Many faults in the glazing - sharp black specks and very rough on bottom rims. Only fit for the dustbin. Offered me a refund of £2 if I kept them! They cost £8.60. Asked for full refund. No prepaid return label supplied. Eventually, after numerous emails, claim for full refund amount granted from A..z..n. I persevered as its the principle of the matter.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. The people that work there put the wrong product on the wrong label. At the till I was charged £7 more . When I confronted. The staff was in denial. They couldn't even speck or understand English properly. A simple apology would have gone a long way.

What a disappointment

What a disappointment! I haven't been in for a while and it has changed, the woman on checkout was such a miserable person. She stood tapping her fingers whilst waiting for the person in front of me to complete her card transaction,a look like thunder on her face. No smile or greeting for the customers, I'm surprised they put her on checkout with such a terrible attitude.

Shoddy Goods, Excuses, Lies and Eventually a Partial Refund ...

Shoddy Goods, Excuses, Lies and Eventually a Partial Refund - Don't Touch Them - I bought two sets of chrome corner shower shelves from Rajanis and within 4 months they were going rusty. I complained, sent photographs as requested then they came back to me and implied that I'd had them over two years and I was trying to scam them! They asked for them to be sent back so that the manufacturers could "examine" them and I said that was fine as long as they paid the postage. They didn't pursue that one. Next they told me that replacements were on their way and that they'd be with me the next day or the day after. They never arrived and the "tracking number" they gave me was fictitious. I threatened them with reviews and social media if they didn't sort out a replacement or a full refund. They've eventually refunded the cost of the goods but not the delivery costs. My advice is stay clear of these people - shoddy goods and a disgraceful customer care attitude.
