Unappetising, poor value for money, and bad service
We visited The Radisson Blu Hotel Limerick today for afternoon tea, 5 of us in total.
While the hotel is beautiful and has a great ambiance, unfortunately the service and catering for afternoon tea wasnt !!
We were waiting 40 minutes after being served tea and beverages, before the afternoon tea items were brought to our table.
When the waitor was approached on this matter ,he was quiet rude and abrupt and unprofessional.
Afternoon tea finally came to our table , we didn't know whether to laugh or cry... it was disgraceful.
It would not have fed 3 people , nevermind the 5 of us,
Pastries were tiny bite size, sandwiches were sparce and unappetising and
bread stale.
And served on saucers on the stands, so approximately 2 bite size per person .
We asked for more to be brought , after 10 mins 6 finger sandwiches came, 1 more each !!
The price charged for afternoon tea per person is daylight robbery considering the tiny amount that comes to the table.
We had afternoon tea here previously and it was topclass ,
Plenty per person and very tasty amd great selection. It's dissapointing that standards have slipped and gone downhill since we were here last.
This time it was totally unappetising, sparce and tastless.
We left hungry and bought takeaway on our way home !!
What we were served wouldn't satisfy a child's appetite nevermind 5 adults!!
I would never book afternoon tea here again or reccomend to anyone.
So dissapointing and a rip off .
Don't waste your time or money here.
Try other upmarket hotels that provide substantial and pleasing afternoon tea , the way it's supposed to be served amd enjoyed .
