Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 85 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall, finding the user experience severely hindered by frequent advertisements and paywalls that disrupted their learning flow and made studying difficult. Customers also reported significant issues with the website and app, including lagging, crashing, and limitations on essential features, often restricting study tools to paid subscriptions. Reviewers frequently encountered problems with the subscription model, citing unexpected auto-renewals and misleading free trial offers that led to immediate charges. However, some customers also noted that the platform could be helpful for exams and found it useful, appreciating its potential as a study tool.

cash grab

I remember when resources like this used to be free and accessible, but now all anyone wants is your money. I can't get through five flashcards before being hit with an ad. There is no integrity to be found here.

Too many ads

Too many ads, importing can be very difficult, and sometimes it automatically formats or types things I did not. This is a terrible resource.

Suposed to be a 7 day free trial

Suposed to be a 7 day free trial, but just found out 1 day after signing up for my daughter to try it out, it's billed me $12.99 for a month and now have to waste my life trying to get refunds. A bit dishonest to say 7 day free trial and then take the money immediately!

Borderline Unusable

What a fall from Grace

10 years ago, I remember when Quizlet was my saving grace in middle and high school. There were no ads, it was free and easy to use, and there were some really fun feautures and minigames too. I studied for tests using Quizlet and I got good grades. Today, its full of ads and it demands a subscription to use in any meaningful capacity, as if its somehow better than any of its alternatives. Corporate greed ruined Quizlet, and its depressing

I can't even login to Quizlet with a password only. Instead I am sent a 'magic link' to my personal email address. The link only works on the current machine. Therefore if I use a public computer to attempt to login to Quizlet I have to also login to my personal email on the public computer. Which I will never do. If I click the magic link on my phone it logs me in on my phone and not the public computer. So short sighted. What a joke.

Quiet Literally Useless App That Sold Out

can't study terms and get into a flow state before an add pops up, can't learn a study set past the first go through (and if the set is big enough it won't even let you get through it all), horrible horrible site that sold out for nothing. Good Luck rotting away as AI and better apps take over (only reason I'm on here myself is because this is the only place my teacher has her study sets).

Usual scam site

Usual scam site. They hide the option to cancel the account and the helpdesk is the usual bot garbage designed to frustrate you and force you to give up.
Study questions were out of date and useless.

I had an instructor account and had…

I had an instructor account and had been using Quizlet for about 10-years. I did find the suggested answers to be helpful when I was in a hurry, but was unaware of any copyright violations. Without warning or the chance to correct any content that was in question, they deleted my 10-year old Quizlet sets and account. This included images that I took myself and highlighted and annotated. They didn't even notify me my account was deleted. I contacted support and told me they would reset it, but then a different person replied who was incredibly rude and accusatory. Meanwhile, I still see many Quizlet sets with questions that are directly copy/pasted from the publisher. Mine were not.

I requested to have my original content with my images restored and I asked to be made aware of the content that was in violation, but they did not provide it. I had just recently paid for a new subscription and requested a refund, but did not receive a reply. Fortunately, I paid through PayPal and Paypal determined that I was in the right and refunded my money. I will not ever do business with Quizlet again. This happened around midterms in the semester and my students who relied on my Quizlet reviews sets were very upset.

I have found another similar company named Revisely does is similar to Quizlet as well as some other really cool features. I miss play Quizlet Live with my students, but I will never have anything to do Quizlet again.

only cares about student cash

Quizlet was one of my favvv websites to study for however it has become my least fav because it now has become another profiter off of students forcing them to pay so they can use some stupid flashcards. It used to be on the of best study websites and is easily one of the worst!!!!

It's trash now

Used to be excellent, but now it's trash. Completely unusable unless you pay for premium. Choked by ads, and the best features are paywalled. Used to be better than this! It's so pointless because I don't know anybody who would pay money for a Quizlet subscription

Quizlet has become a cashgrab

Quizlet has become a "cashgrab". Students have to watch ads while trying to study using the flashcard method. When I used to use this a while back, I noticed it was a bit faulty and demanded money for quizzes (which is literally their reason of existence). Now, I can't study without an ad for Canva or Adobe popping up and totally erasing my mind of previous information.

unusable unless you get quizlet plus. You literally can't use the learn feature more than a couple times per set. better rec is omnisets, got less variety and a bit buggy, but its so much better to use.
