Can't get my payout withdrawal. I'm not kidding. It's been going on back and forth longer than a week. Stay away from Questrade!
"Please be advised that your withdrawal request is currently on hold. Unfortunately the Void Cheque (EQ BANK) that you have submitted is an editable copy and we are not able to accept that for security reason.
If you can provide a recent bank statement to verify the account information (i.e. name match), or another formal copy of a Void cheque or Direct Deposit Form, that would be appreciated.

Horrible customer service
Delays with my RSP transfer, deposits that are cancelled without explanation (according to the Questrade website, they are pending approval for weeks), hour-long calls (most of the time on hold) with unhelpful representatives, and commitments that are never fulfilled. Avoid this company!

I started trading in 2020, and my first broker was Questrade. I personally was very happy with their platform. During that time, I contacted customer service 3 times, and they resolved my problem. The fees where risonable. Later, I moved my eccount to Welthsimple because they did not have any fees. In the future, I will again use Questrade as my broker.

My experience attempting to open a corporate account with Questrade was highly disappointing.
The process extended nearly two months and involved multiple representatives, with no continuity or file ownership. Each interaction required re-explaining previously submitted information. I was proactively contacted only three times; otherwise, I was required to call in and wait on hold after most document uploads. This level of inefficiency is not acceptable for a financial institution.
I was also told there was an issue because both my old and new business numbers appear under my CRA profile. This has been structured this way for approximately eight years without issue with government authorities or any financial institution I deal with. I was asked to change this with CRA — an unnecessary and unreasonable administrative burden given there is no compliance problem.
I have been a business owner for over 20 years and have worked with many financial institutions without difficulty. I was not seeking credit — I was attempting to invest corporate funds. Despite providing all requested documentation and completing multiple forms, I was ultimately informed my business information was not sufficient.
After two months of back-and-forth with no resolution, I chose not to proceed.
Based on this experience, I would not recommend Questrade for corporate business accounts.
Can Questrade get any worse? Yes it can
I had written an unfavourable review a month ago but this recent incident has made me want to write another review of Questrade. And I hope Questrade reads this. Let me explain....
When it seems like Questrade can’t get any worse – it does.
On Jan 21, 2026 I had filled out and uploaded a form (CHANGE RIF/LIF PAYMENT SCHEDULE ) for my RIF monthly payments to be directly credited into my bank account. I had also uploaded a scan of a void cheque as was required. Today Feb 19 (almost a month less 2 days later) I enquired about the status of this as my online account was still showing “Pending Review” Huh? One month later and it is still pending review?? Does Questrade need months or years to process documents? This has got to be the worst company to deal with. When I called customer service (of course I got the standard auto message “due to high call volumes blah blah blah nonsense), the lady who came on the line at first said that it was “Under review”. Duh. I had already told her that because I could see it on my online account. But, of course, she wasn’t listening. Or did not understand. Or both. Then she gave me some crap about “it takes time etc etc and also due to high number of documents that need review, it takes that long”. She then tried to tell me that maybe I had received a letter or an email from Questrade letting me know there was a problem. Had I received such an intimation, why would I be calling to ask why the delay in processing my request? I insisted that she give me a time frame for how long this “Pending review” process would take. She then kept me on hold and went away to ask someone. She returned and I could not believe what she told me. She said that “maybe” there was some issue with the uploaded check and I should upload all documents again. WT? I am left scratching my head at the caliber of these people hired by Questrade. They give you information that you already know, they don’t understand why you are calling and finally they take the easy way out by simply telling you to upload the documents all over again. And giving you a load of BS in the bargain. Causing me unnecessary work due to someone’s ignorance or lethargy or incompetence. She did not tell me what the issue with the uploaded documents were. Where do they hire these folks from? If they had a problem with the original scans why has a month gone by with no email or letter from Questrade telling me so?? And what's the guarantee that even if I uploaded the documents again, it will be OK? Such a shoddy organization and I really really regret putting my hard earned money into this company.
To rub salt into my wounds, after the call, I did not hang up. The customer service lady probably did not realize that the line was still open and I heard her very clearly speaking in Tagalog to her colleague. Not sure exactly what she said but I clearly heard the words Jan 21st, which was the date I had told her I had uploaded the documents, so I’m pretty sure she was talking about me. And her colleague (a male) guffawed loudly. I got the impression that they were making fun of me. To them I was just a joke. That’s the quality of the customer service at Questrade. They should be fired. They speak behind your back and in their own language (Tagalog). Message to Questrade – Check the recording. For quality purposes as you say so yourself.
The last time I left a review, I was contacted by Questrade and was assured that they are working hard to fix the issue of long wait times. Well I have news for Questrade. Back in 2012, yes you read that correctly 2012 (June 19th to be precise), I had complained about the lengthy wait times. In case Questrade reads this review. Refer to Ticket LTK4950232243545X. Fast forward 14 years later and it seems nothing has changed. But it has changed for the worse. Their assurances and promises are not worth the paper they are written on. It’s true what they say. The more things change, the more they stay the same. To all the folks out there thinking of investing with Questrade – Run Forrest Run and don’t stop. Go somewhere else where you don't have to wait a lifetime just to get things done.

They stole my portfolio even though i trusted their platform. They never reply to messages or emails. They entice you in and allow you to make a few little withdrawals at first, but then they freeze your account. It's been really annoying that i've lost a sizable portion of my money. I am pleased with my #plan2prosper progress. They follow through on their commitments and handle withdrawals quickly.

Read before signing up
Trying to set up accounts and if current levels of “customer support” are an indication, then I wonder if inconvenience is worth the frustration. Wait times, stated as 30 minutes, have been ended by myself at 90 and 96 minutes. Chat function has taken 1 hr and 15 minutes, with 2nd effort after an hour, stating office is closed. They set-up a follow-up call, that happened, but only then, put me in queue as I was able to complete my 9 miles on my treadmill. Gentleman was nice enough but couldn’t resolve my issue. Told me to call back on a weekday. Asked to speak to a supervisor, put on hold twice (another 30 minutes), but told no one available.
As a person of an age, where actions are more important than words, “I am not impressed”. Actions are completely disrespectful.
They maybe running a promotion, but they planned it, they certainly didn’t staff it, nor willing to be accountable for the inconvenience that customers need to put up with.
It’s 2026, with more communication tools than ever, and less common sense than ever.
Fool me once, shame on them……no 2nd chances until leadership steps up,moons it and fixes it.
I finally talked to someone, who promised to escalate my concerns and call me back. He confirmed in an email. That didn’t happen, but after missing the deadline, acknowledged they didn’t and proposed two dates and times. I responded within 5 minutes stating which one would work, and of course they called during the time, that wouldn’t.
They sent a three line note, not addressing any of my concerns and have not responded to my 6 follow-up messages.
I measure what organizations do. I wish companies would stop saying “I’m sorry” and start to say “I’m ashamed” about the level of service. Maybe then - things would change.

Very bad experience. Waited for 1.5 hrs till someone came on the phone line. As I started discussing my request she was checking the system and was supposed to come back. Their system kicked me back to the phone queue. Two hrs later I was still in the queue.
At the same time, I tried the online chat --- it tooks 2 hrs for me to get at the top of the queue. They could not help and asked me to call the phone line which I had with the issues I described above.
Another experience was that in the summer I wanted to withdraw money out of my account. I did the transaction towards end of July. They gave me the money in four chunks across 3 weeks in August. Terrible.

i called Questrade for help on Friday…
i called Questrade for help on Friday Jan30,26. i left a call back number and it took 1 hour and 30min for Questrade to call back. When they called back, the call was broken up for approx 10sec and then hung up on me. No one called back!
So Saturday i called again, and this time i was on hold for 1 hour and 40 mins until I finally hung up.
So i still haven't talked to anyone yet!

Currently a cleint, but reconsidering. Support is atrocious. I get the wait times , given the 4% cash back offer they now have on, but once you get them online they just dont answer your direct questions and are evasive. Its like your talking to an AI receptionist but i was told it was a human when i asked. The email they provide on here, feedback"@"questrade.com, will get you no where, the've just have this email up so we "valued customers: can vent about their lack or professionallism. I just dread the idea of having to attempt to get my accounts transferred out because I know they will drag their feet.

Wait times too long. Gave up on transfer.
I wanted to transfer my account from a US brokerage. Called the US brokerage for assistance and was through to a person in a few minutes. Called Questrade for assistance and have been on hold over an hour. Giving up on the transfer. Customer service is unacceptable.

Zero customer service - Don't give these folks your money
Questrade sent me some cryptic emails about my accounts. When I logged into my account there was nothing related to those emails but a notice that a tfsa had an issue with it.
After spending over an hour on hold on the phone and an hour on hold with their chat, neither person was able to tell me what the problem was, I was referred to a phone number that consists of prompts that return you to the prompts and no way of speaking to a human.
They have no customer service
Edit: Questrade got in touch with me through Trustpilot and asked me to email the same address that has been sending me messages that are of no assistance. While they don't appear to care about their customers they do appear to care about their reviews
