Worst experience ever for our children's party. The kids aged 10/11 went up against another team which contained a small number of aggressive, abusive, and overly competitive adults who kept running into the kids, grabbing guns, and swearing. When three kids left crying I told the marshal he needed to do something about the other team as they were running around spoiling the game and needed to calm down. He did nothing. I approached the main trouble maker on the other team and told him he needed to calm down. He was argumentative and kept saying stupid stuff like 'It's a war game, they shouldn't play if they can't take it'. He tried to blame the kids for being OTT and calling him names so I tried reminding him he was a fully grown man and he should be able to take it. 'So should you' was the answer I got which was highly immature. Minutes later he stormed out in a sulk and complained like a big baby that he didn't want to play with kids and didn't want to be accused of what he had done. He ran into me at one point and it did hurt so you can imagine how the kids felt. His whole family of 11 got offered a free game because of his complaint. We weren't even apologised to despite five children ending up in tears because of one immature rule breaker. Apparently the manager will be phoning my partner tomorrow so I will report back on the matter. If the marshal had just come in and said calm down, please stop running, we probably would have enjoyed ourselves. Highly irresponsible when children are his responsibility. Had parties there before and would have been many more times in the future. Never again now.
