Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 216 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently express deep disappointment, stating that the chocolates taste completely artificial, overly sweet, and nothing like the nostalgic treats from their youth. People explained that the distinct flavours are completely gone, leaving behind a waxy texture and an unpleasant taste. Some reviewers were not happy with the significantly smaller tub sizes and the cheap paper wrappers replacing the traditional foil. Consumers also noted that the product has become heavily overpriced, offering very poor value for money alongside noticeable shrinkflation. Many stated they will never purchase this brand again and prefer to throw the boxes away.

They're no longer exciting when you open the tub. Part of the excitement were the colourful, shiny wrappers. Okay, I can put up with that for environmental reasons, but the chocolate is also bad. I... See more

Quallity street "sweets" should Not be…

Quallity street "sweets" should Not be produced any more with the test "offered".I understand those kind of swerts are nade to reach the most poor of the society, those who never in their lives tried sweets, but do is a
good for the producers to know once tested sweet is spitted out with a reiief. Please, do NOT offer those things any more, as it is a shame on you and an abuse to the people, who ever tested them.
Or maybe you never ever tried a reaĺly chocolate sweet, testy, sweety
velvet , melted in the mouth and far from the bown stones you dare to name Quallity street.

From Quality to Cheap Street. Can't believe how disgusting Quality…

Can't believe how disgusting Quality Street is now. Buy them every year, and each year they deteriorate. This year they are so bad, that no one is eating them. The standard of the chocolate is so poor and insipid plus it doesn't melt in your mouth like smooth chocolate. Sadly it's the end of an era because we won't be buying them again. Should be renamed Cheap Street!

Rancid NOT chocolate new recipe taste

2025 Quality Streets are vile this year. What has happened, taste is awful & so sickly had to throw 2 full tubs away! Please change the recipe back ASAP or you might aswell discontinue these. The new recipe of less chocolate, more palm oil and using waxy paper wrappers are killing these chocolates that used to be consistently so good. Eugh never buying these again if not! Also please bring back the chocolate toffee too, has gone so far downhill since they were axed. So many other people commenting negatively is not good.

Truly awful now

Truly awful now, I had a few and they don't even taste like chocolate.
If my son doesn't eat them, I will be throwing the rest away.
We ended up buying the M&S equivalent.. Night and day difference.
I suspect this is another example of cost-cutting and corporate greed.
That's the last time we buy Quality Street!!

quality street unedible

I have grown up with quality street, so a lot of decades. This is the last time ever, I gave my tub away, all I could taste was oil. Coming from a choco addicted person, that is really saying something. Disgusting 🫣 unedible.

Sugary over bearingly sweet

Sugary over bearingly sweet. No chocolate taste. Nothing Christmassy about the wrappers anymore so with no taste either I won’t be buying again. I’d rather have less but nicer chocolates. Nobody wants to eat them in our house.

End of an era

Toffees use to be my favourite. I had the flat circular one & was shocked at the taste, the texture & how quickly it dissovled. It is not the same sticky texture that took ages to eat. My husband said the same about the other varieties. Not quality any more. Will not be having them again after buying them for over 50 years!

Just opened a big bag of Quality Street…

Just opened a big bag of Quality Street and what an unpleasant shock! The Green Triangle used to be my favourite but the taste of it has drastically changed and actually made me feel sick! Put me off eating the rest of the chocolates.
What utter rubbish are they making these so called Quality chocolates with?!
They're definitely not cheap to buy yet they expect Joe Public to actually enjoy eating them?
Well I certainly won't be buying this rubbish ever again. Put me off for life! Maybe not a bad thing after all!

My mum ordered a different brand of Celebratory chocolates on her online shop, but they were substituted with this pile of pap! I'm not surprised the other brands had sold out, and all that were left were Quality Street. No one wants them. They are so bad. I don’t care about the plastic tub or the lacklustre new wrappers, but I do care about the sickly, sugary nonsense they call chocolate. The only decent one was the toffee penny. Bin!

Absolutely terrible

Over the years these once divine chocolates have now sadly evolved in to something so mediocre and quite frankly off-putting, no resemblance to the original ones. Last time I buy this crap, other chocolate companies have done well and are producing some fabulous products, I'll give them my support from now on.

What the hell have I opened

What the hell have I opened? The most depressing wrappers, tasteless chunks of nothing. The glory days have ended, what was once a Christmas tradition is now never to be purchased again. Just rename them Basic Street.

What has happened to this brand

What has happened to this brand. Awful looking sweets now. When I was younger you’d always look forward to these sweets for the taste and quality. Nestle have messed this one just for the sake of bigger profits. I will never buy this product again and loooking at the amount of negative reviews this will only get worse.

What a shame

What a shame, a once well known name in every household, for being the chocolate of choice, QUALITY STREET, how the brand has changed, not only in quality, but in the standard of their service when contacting them. I bought the 750g tin, as it looks much nicer than the plastic containers they are now using, this looks very nice, what a disappointment once you open it. The wrappers are bland and cheap looking (not quality) and the chocolates are even worse, they all taste the same, one of nearly everyone’s favourite the Brazil, is a different shape, you struggle to actually find a nut, and when you call their Customer Service team, they claim although their wrappers have changed, the recipe has remained the same. The person I spoke to didn’t seem interested , they took my details to send me an email, and then wanted me to send it back incurring the cost of the postage, she said the quality team will check the contents and will respond accordingly, when I queried the cost of the tin, she said the quality team will respond to you. She then ended the call and I was asked a 1 question survey, obviously I gave the brand a 1, I must say they didn’t deserve that.
