Quality Cars UK

I wanted to put a straight, honest review up. I went to Quality Cars UK earlier in the year. I was not hassled or bothered while looking around the car. I took it for a test run and pointed out a few bits to the salesman, Darren. We agreed that the bonnet and bumper be painted, the paintwork be buffed with a cut, and the squeaking from the rear be fixed. He agreed, said it would be a week, and printed me off a receipt with date and mileage.

I wanted to pick it up a week later, on Friday, but they said the car was not prepared, the lads were out and about, so I could not pick it up until the day after. They don’t have any staff; it’s a 2-man band.  I arrived the next day, but was told that the buffing and cut were not done; the rear suspension was the same. Just the bonnet was painted, and the bumper touched in, but poor.

This is where things got out of control. Firstly, I noticed from getting the prepared invoice to the sales invoice that 63 miles had accumulated. The bodyshop was 5 miles each way and workshop 1.5 miles away, so that’s 13miles off 63, which is 50 miles unaccounted for. So, where had the car been for 50 miles? They said they had not used it. So, 50 miles, but I did some research online, and it was taxed, so I would think they lent it out as a courtesy car; there is no other explanation. Would you buy a car from a dealer who could not explain all the mileage? Sadly, I did.

Then they said the body shop matched my paint using the area around my fuel cap. More bull came is its filthy in there, the only colour match you would get is grey.

Still waiting for them to buffer the car, Darren said I've found a lad that will do it bet he was cheap, they hate spending. They came to pick my car up to buff and sort the suspension and clutch out, and I said PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU'RE CAREFUL BUFFING ON THE DOOR AS IT’S BEEN TOUCHED UP WELL to Darren. No problem, he says. They left me with a courtesy car, which could have been a sales car for all I know.

The clutch was adjusted, and very poorly, the suspension had oil sprayed on to quieten it down. But guess what, the guy doing the buffing rubbed off the touch-up paint. Darren failed to tell the guy. Lucky for me, it was ok underneath, but he just does not listen.

The squeaking continued, so this time they had to get their hand in their pocket and change the rubber bearings.

My rear wiper was hanging off and, in the end, fell off, but they ordered one from KIA and had it replaced, no arguments.

To sum up, it was a poor customer experience all round. The number of lies was unreal.  Darren's a know-it-all. Whatever the problem or noise, he knows the answer. He spends more time looking at his fake Rolex than listening to you.  But they're only going to do it on the cheap.

A bit of advice, if you’re going to purchase from this company, check the car everywhere. Check all buttons, ICE, Aircon and all the things not in an MOT. You should get a new MOT or if it’s been done a couple of months ago, you're ok. Take the mileage of the car the day you get your invoice, so you can compare it when you pick it up. If it needs jobs, DON’T pay them till they are done. If something's on order, wait. Also, check around the body that it's not accident-repaired. Colours never match when resprayed.

Just don’t be taken in by the fancy showroom. They just want your money. And if you deal with Darren, take everything with a pinch of salt, as he is Arthur Daley reincarnated.

Good luck, you will need it.

Fantastic service and a fantastic car

Fantastic service and a fantastic car. Bought a Hyundai i20 for my daughter 1 year ago. She has covered over 12,000 miles in the last year and had no problems. Just passed an MOT with no advisories. Would highly recommend 😁

Great friendly dealership worth a look.

I collected a car from these guys which I found being a recommended dealership from a well known car finance company. Also being in a local area of the country to myself was even better. I arranged a day to collect the car from them through their certified what’s app link which I found on their website. Communication was good and got all the help I needed in arranging everything. Darren one of the guys from the dealership was very helpful and when I met him seemed a decent friendly person who talked me around the car and answered any questions I had. I even got offered a brew while I waited for the finance payment to go through, He sorted out the car tax on his computer and everything went smoothly. I’m really happy with the car so far and just awaiting a small trim which was missing on the car which He had ordered for me and will fit it at a later date. I really recommend this dealership, They have a good range of vehicles to suit most people’s needs whether it’s a family people carrier or a sports car and everything in between! Was a pleasure meeting the guys. Thank you once again.

Great Car, Great Service

I bought a car from these guys recently.

I was very happy with the car and the above and beyond service that these guys gave.

I would definitely use them again if I have the need for another car.
