Just received my order of Linen Quill
Just received my order of Linen Quill, 4 skeins, in graduated colors from black to shades of greens.
I haven't even started knitting yet and I'm in love with the slight tweediness of the deeply saturated darker colors. The lightest color, while not something I would normally use alone (due to my olive skin tone) has a lovely jewel tone that will augment the over pattern.
I will update as I wash, wind, then begin to knit with it. I have beads ordered to highlight the wrap this was ordered for, "I Am A Dragon III Remix" by Alexadra Davidoff.

Great service and beautiful yarn
I could not believe how quickly I received my order! The yarn is beautiful. Plus they sent me a surprise gift - a 25 g. ball of really nice cotton yarn. I can hardly wait to finish a current project, so I can play with my new yarn. Purl Soho is great! I will be ordering from them again.

Prompt Shipping, Not a yarn I would recommend.
I gave a 5 star review due to the prompt shipping. However, I am not giving even a 2 star for the Japanese Denim Cotton that I purchased. Perhaps I should have know better with this yarn, but the color is not the same even with the exact same dye lots. Certainly, not a product that I would ever recommend.

And just some background on the Japanese Denim Cotton... It is dyed using a ring-dyed technique that creates vibrant, long-lasting colors, but this process can occasionally result in more variation from ball to ball. We didn't encounter this in our sample making, but if/when you do, alternating balls every row or round is a great way to mitigate the difference in color. We completely understand, however, if this isn’t the experience you were hoping for!

We also want to assure you that knots or joins are fairly common and not necessarily an indication of poor yarn quality. Although the industry standard is 4 knots per kilo of yarn, we only tolerate 3 knots per kilo, with the ideal always being as few knots as possible.
