This was a renewal for my dog and I knew it would go up as I had made a couple of claims in the previous year probably just under a thousand pounds , I was somewhat shocked to see my price and almost doubled from £60 a month to £116 per month, that is some increase yes my dog is 13 , yes I’ve claimed but only because she had an eye condition that cost about £800 now fully resolved, but this company is no different to any other pet insurance companies claim and the price goes up , swap companies it may be cheaper but you aren’t covered for pre existing conditions so you have no choice. The company do pay out when you make a claim there is no quibble and it’s easy to do all be it it does take a bit longer than a previous company I used for my other dog. Claiming in line is easy to do.

I’ve been with purely pets for over 11 years and have always had peace of mind that my pets are insured. I found the prices are very reasonable in comparison to other pet insurance companies. Although I’ve never had to claim it’s reassuring to know purely pets will help.

Introduction of a no claims system would be nice
Having an older dog ,who has been ill previously, raised the price of the cover. It would be nice if an annual no claims system could be introduced. It seems like many other companies raise the rate if there have been previous claims . As a pensioner, on limited income, cover for my much loved pet is becoming an issue

my dog had to have a big knee operation in June, i have been a customer with purely pets since she was born 4 years ago, i did make the mistake of stopping and starting my policy but i still have always been a good customer, and they didn't pay out, so no i'm not happy and don't really see the point in having insurance because you will always find a reason not to pay out.
