Just rejoined after a covid break, very safety conscious with antiseptic spray and wipes easily available. The whole place is kept spotlessly clean.
Good variety of equipment and a relaxed atmosphere.

Nice, but very busy
Very nice overall, but also very busy. Even at "off peak" times with my membership, it's still rammed with people.

We’re afraid it's true, our gyms simply are very popular and so can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate throughout the day and from day to day. Members can also use the members area via the PureGym app or website, to see how many people are in the gym which is useful for planning ahead.

Nice gym
Nice gym, plenty of cleaning stations, app shows how many people are in the gym, good mixture of classes and it doesn't feel intimidating going because it's used by people of varying fitness levels, age, gender, goals, etc.
PTs so far have been helpful and approachable which is reassuring.
However, some classes at 07:30am to do before working hours would be good. 06:30am is too early for those with 9-5 jobs. Also management of people cleaning down the equipment after use isn't clear.

First Timers’ Review
First time using a gym, ever. Staff have been super friendly ( even if I ask a simple question) they’re always super willing to help! Classes are great and Christian and Emma have both been really accommodating instructors—recognising that everyone’s working at different abilities.
Changing room is always clean and smells great.
Tad overcrowded and as a teenager I’m not super comfortable working out at peak hours so whenever I am there it’s not too busy and mostly everyone is focused on themselves.
Really positive vibes!

Friendly staff, well equipped, poor etiquette from members…
Friendly staff, well equipped gym… HOWEVER, be warned it’s a very busy gym and there is a distinct lack of gym etiquette… Today for example the dumbbells were all over the place, yes most were on the racks, but only a few were in pairs, almost all were just randomly dumped, despite the racks being clearly numbered, instead of just picking up the pair you want you’ve gotta hunt for two that match… free weights were laying about on the floor, or heavy plates put on top of smaller weights so you can’t get at them, why would you put 25kg plates on top of 5kg plates…??? Even some weights were overlapping so you have to take plates off to get to what you want… on top of this there are lots of youngsters training in groups, spending time on their phones and chatting rather that getting on and training… this is probably the worse gym I’ve trained at in over 30 years for poor etiquette and you’ll never see staff challenging anyone who leaves a mess… don’t get me wrong the members are all well behaved, they just clearly have never been to a gym where the basic rules are laid out… During the main lockdown certain staff were very keen on telling you not to train together and no spotting, but they’re not so keen in telling folks to unload bars or put things back in the right places… if they could get this right, and you have the ability to train at quiet times then it could be a 4 or 5 Star gym, but as it stands it’s an average 3 Star gym that I’m thinking of leaving unless it improves…

It is in the gym rules that members should return their own weights or risk suspension, but at peak times especially it can be hard to police this. However, staff on site do everything they can while we also have CCTV monitoring the free weights and are looking for new ways to combat this.

There arent enough clips for the bars
There arent enough clips for the bars. You'd think if there are 10 bars there would be 20 clips, but apparently not. Once you get your hands on a bar, you also have to wait for clips. Either that or go without, and risk the safety of yourself and other members.
