Do not use this gym
I’m writing this review to advise others to think twice before signing up with PureGym.
Recently, I received an email from the gym informing me that another member had complained because my under-16 son was present with me in the gym.
What I found incredibly frustrating was how inconsistently the gym enforces its own rules. Despite witnessing countless members ignoring “gym rules” on a daily basis with no intervention, PureGym only chose to take action when another member complained.
Had no one said anything, the gym would have simply carried on as if nothing had happened.
This selective enforcement not only feels unfair, but also shows a complete lack of common sense and judgment.
Instead of engaging constructively or considering the context, the response felt unnecessarily rigid and unhelpful.
There are plenty of gyms out there that treat members with respect, communicate clearly, and enforce rules evenly.
Unfortunately, in my experience, PureGym is not one of them.

Mind class
After recovering from knee surgery I needed to return to the gym to strengthen muscles and help with weight loss. I managed to find a class called Mind which was perfect to ease me back into attending the gym on a more regular basis. I knew that it would be challenging and explained my concerns to the instructor called Eunice. She is so lovely and informed me that I should only do what I could and to reach out if I needed help to adapt anything.
I really enjoyed the class - it does get quite warm in the studio so would be good if there was some air con or a fan! - I felt like I had done a work out without over exerting myself.
Eunice is a really good instructor who lights up the room with her lovely smile and positive attitude. Have booked for the next 2 classes and already looking forward to attending.
Would definitely recommend to others - Thankyou x

Very poor gym
Very poor gym!
I am a member at another PureGym branch and used the Sittingbourne location for a week when travelling away from home.
I found the space too small for the set up, not enough benches - it was fight to get one, even at 5am in the morning!
Some of the cable machines had the hooks for attachments missing.
Wouldn’t recommend this one.

Quick easy sign up online and was in the gym on the day I wanted membership to start.
Sittingbourne is a great gym and each time I’ve got onto machines I’ve wanted too. Really clean and nicely laid out.
Love the buddy passes, means my bestie can join me when she’s around.

Good gym with good quality kit and plenty of it.
But lots of poor quality customers who can't put weight plates, dumbells back, leave chalk etc over bars and groups of intimidating young school/college age boys taking up benches and leaving the place a mess.

Love the fitness classes
I only go to the fitness classes in the studio rather than use the actual gym. The instructors are fantastic and classes are so motivational with the music and varied routines. My only negative comment would be that the studio floor gets very dirty and dusty at times and could maybe do with a more regular cleaning regime.

Joining process
The joining process online is quick, simple and very easy to do. I have been a member of pure gym over 6 months now and I absolutely love it. The staff at the Sittingbourne gym are all amazing but a special shout out to Eunice, Jack and Anna who are all brilliant and I love their classes!!
