A few minor improvements could make it perfect, but overall I’d definitely recommend it to friends and colleagues.

The gym is really good. Has plenty of equipment. Not too happy that the parking has dropped from 3 hours to 2. But they make it so hard if you want to stop your membership. You should just be able to do it on the app

I attended the 7:30pm STEP session on June 11 and was 12 minutes late due to extenuating circumstances. Tara Pullan publicly lectured me in front of the entire class, which felt embarrassing and inappropriate. Late arrivals should be handled privately or with a compassionate policy, not by shaming someone in public. This incident has made me hesitant to return.
I attempted to raise this issue with the staff and filed a formal complaint several months ago, but I have not received any response in five months. The lack of follow-up has been discouraging and adds to my disappointment with how concerns are handled.

If you like a gym to be extremely hot this is for you and with the gym being hot comes the smells from people (obviously) I was on the treadmill and excited every time someone walked pass me to cause a breeze. Along with that there is just two benches for doing free weights....i couldn't believe it for the size of the gym that is very poor. Thankfully i only paid half price for the month i wont return its just too hot for the same price The Gym Group is much cooler and has more equipment i.e benches.

I joined PureGym Dockside recently and have been left feeling disappointed and frustrated.
Firstly, there was a “No joining fee” sign clearly advertised in the gym window, yet there was no option to redeem this offer on the website – I ended up having to pay a joining fee unnecessarily. It felt misleading and poorly communicated.
But my biggest issue is with the car park. There’s now a new policy where anyone who parks for more than an hour is charged – which, if you go 4–5 times a week like I do, effectively doubles the cost of your gym membership.
Who on earth can park, go to the gym, work out, and shower in under an hour? It’s completely unrealistic.
I would expect PureGym to have negotiated some kind of arrangement with the Dockside centre to support their members. As it stands, I’m seriously considering switching to a more premium gym that at least includes free parking – because with the added cost, PureGym no longer feels like good value.
FYI the parking fees were not there when i joined

Reasonably priced, equipment readily available , clean and like the fact can go anytime that fits in with my day. Only criticism I would have is the staff not friendly or approachable and sit around the table together chatting

I really enjoy attending the gym, the classes in particular. Shannon has built a great core loyal following to her morning classes. The early crew if you like obviously train in the morning as it suits to do her classes before work, and most evening classes clash with finishing work and arriving on time to the class, plus after a full day at work attending a gym class afterwards is not really what we want to do. The timetable only recently changed in the gym, thankfully not the days but still took some getting use to as classes changed. We have now been informed that there will be yet another change to Shannon's morning classes on a Monday where most of us attend both the 6.15am and 7am. This hasn't gone down well with the core followers including myself. To uproot an established well attended class to the evening makes no sense, also that Shannon's class is the only one being changed. ! Wouldn't it make more sense to move one of the newer less established classes run by newer PT's as it would cause less disruption. We know Shannon has no issue doing her morning classes and prefers it so it seems like the change isn't in the best interest of the PT or those who religiously attend her classes. Shannon is one of your most popular PT's with a great morning following, we seek out her morning classes which is why the attendance dropped when she was on leave for a week. I know collectively the morning group are not happy with this change and would ask that you also listen and consider the feedback from her class followers when making decisions to change things that impact on multiple people. I'm not saying things don't ever need to evolve, but there does need to be some rationale behind it that benefits both the PT and their class followers and from what we see Shannon was happy with her mornings and she is the only one having to change at the determent of her class followers and her. Very much if its not broken no need to fix it. If anything the change will impact on gym usage/ occupancy in a negative way.

false accusations on ‘sharing my pin’. I’ve been saying that no one has used it while they didn’t believe me and suspended my account for half of the membership.
