Friendly staff, very thorough with assessment questions, fast process, highly recommended

I was kept up to date with progress and they handled the assessment fairly quickly.

I think the whole experience would probably get a 4 star, but after having a different clinician for each review i've finally been given a single clinician.
The extra star is based on my most recent online meeting. Krystal was fantastic and talked me through some of the parts I wasn't too sure on and her energy in general made me leave the meeting feeling great.

They put both me and my daughter at ease throughout the process. Checked repeatedly that we understood and that we knew the next steps. All staff we came across were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend 😊

My experience was great. The assessment I took lasted exactly the time the psychiatrist said it would last. The psychiatrist was very kind and compassionate and very helpful. I felt very comfortable opening up to him and sharing my life experiences.

Excellent service from Psicon. Expected time for assessment was 12-18 months but was completed in 8 weeks. Excellent communication throughout and formal assessment was very relaxed. Just waiting for completion of written assessment. Thank you

Great service throughout

From the beginning of the journey of diagnosis the team were friendly and helpful. The service were very professional and their setting was equipped and set out amazingly. The process for us took 5months which has been brilliant for us as a family. Highly recommend.

Felt uneasy about a parent being with me for the whole session, Felt intrusive and upsetting as I am a 35 year old woman. My medical history was shared of which I wasn't aware it would be discussed with my parent sat next to me. Felt I was being judged for my reactions. Seemed as though my previous diagnosis of anxiety was a quick fix to give me, didn't feel as though my points in my initial paperwork or my letters of support were taken into account. My parent was also dissatisfied with the service and felt judged and like it was tailored one way from the start. I spent most of the session crying and discussing my social side and not discussing emotions, sensitivity, food relationships, order, disregulation, the whole time was just how I interact with people around me.
Overall i was really unhappy with the session and would not recommend this provider to an adult woman. I had heard good things for children however as an adult i am horrified by the way in which it is conducted.

Gloria was amazing through my son’s assessment, he is very shy and wasn’t keen he was on camera but she made the assessment comfortable enough for him to talk and be himself. Psicon have communicated with me throughout my son’s struggles right up to his assessment which I’m very grateful for. Only downside is the wait for medication.

Kept updated throughout process (parent) regularly. Only downside was I didn’t know school were missing forms until being sent a final reminder. However, once submitted we got a cancellation app within days. The assessment was seamless and whilst asking child difficult questions they were handled well. Diagnosis was received quickly and awaiting outcome report. Overall, a very smooth process

My daughter age 11 was assessed for autism by Psicon via the Right to Choose service. The services and experience that we had were excellent! Their premises in Canterbury are great and it was good that the 2nd appointment was via Teams video-call (for convenience). The organisation and communication was very good.

Psicon's communication has been excellent from start to finish. They kept us well informed at every stage of the assessment process. We never had to chase for updates or timelines. The clinicians were excellent, explaining everything clearly and in detail. They put my son at ease from the minute we walked in. Every member of staff was friendly and helpful. We couldn't recommend them enough.

We had a assessment with Rakel Morenike who was absolutely amazing through out! She kept our child engaged and feeling positive even when she could tell he was close to his limit. She made our child feel supported and even managed to get him to smile, using humour appropriate for his age. She was supportive and we felt listened to throughout. Would highly recommend!

The whole process was really straightforward and all professionals i had contact with were professional,kind and supportive.

I wasn't asked for any input about my child from the start. Everything was taken care of by the school and his mother whom I'm separated from. I was only asked to an online assessment which at the end they told me the outcome and their decision. I didn't even know that the assessment was the final part of the evaluation, they didn't even meet my son before diagnosising him with ADHD. Not once did they ask me about my son or ask me to fill out the questionnaire which the school and the mother did. It feels as though my input wasn't nesacerry when determining whether my child had adhd or not even though he behaves completely differently when he is with me than with his mother or school. I don't believe they gave a full and valuable assessment.

Psicon were professional and swift in communications. My child really enjoyed the in person consultation and we had an easy and pleasant experience throughout. Thank you

Dr Omar Atta was amazing as he was very inclusive, great at listening, great at explaining and very understanding as I lack emotional empathy and the ability to understand things. He made the whole experience pleasant and relaxed as well as a tailored style report for my needs. Considering I struggle with anxiety when approaching new situations, this shows high levels of experience in my opinion as well as sticking to the high standards of PSICON values.
