My experience with this firm was…

My experience with this firm was extremely disappointing and very stressful for my family. The situation ultimately had a negative impact on our mental wellbeing.

From my understanding, the firm had been aware since 2023 that we intended to leave the property at the end of our contract. However, we were later informed that they had not been notified, and our deposit of £630 was not released.

After approximately three years without contact, I was unexpectedly approached regarding a debt of £198 that I did not previously recognise. This caused considerable stress for my family.

In an effort to resolve the issue amicably, particularly because we wished to avoid any conflict during the blessed and holy month of Ramadan and did not want further dealings with the firm, I offered to pay £100 as a compromise. This offer was declined.

In my opinion, the level of customer service was poor and the process felt one-sided and unnecessarily distressing.

I also found it difficult that I did not receive what I considered sufficient supporting evidence for the specific charge, which appeared to relate to cleaning of a single room from March 2023. Overall, this was a very difficult and unpleasant experience for us.

Appalling service. Avoid at all costs!

They advertised a flat on Rightmove which I was interested in viewing. The appointment was booked but when I was in the street where the flat was based, I could not find the specific number nor the block where it was located. Also, I could not find an estate agent nor a Properties On The Market company car parked anywhere. It didn't help that on Rightmove, they did not take a photograph of the front of the block of flats.

I tried to ring them but it put me through to answer machine. Someone from Properties On The Market rang me back and I told them that I was in the street but could not find the flat number but rather than trying to help me find it, they put the phone down on me and after that, I did not want to go ahead with a viewing.

Fraudulent company …

I have had a very negative experience with this company and its director, Mr Sath Vaddaram, in Lincoln.

The lease agreement for my property ended in August 2024, but despite repeated requests, the property has not been returned to me. Instead, the company continues to use it as an HMO without my consent.

This has caused me significant distress and financial loss. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company to either landlords or tenants. Please exercise extreme caution before engaging with them.

BE REALLY, REALLY CAREFUL WITH THIS WEBSITE

be REALLY, REALLY careful using this company. Very mis-leading website. If you just want a "valuation out of curiosity" they STILL send all of your details to ALL local estate agents. I'm now inundated with calls, messages and emails from them. ONLY use this site IF YOU genuinely want to sell your house.

Urgent Complaint Regarding Uninhabitable Rental Property Provided by Milegate Rental

I am writing on behalf of my sister and her young son to lodge a serious complaint against Milegate Rental @ NW11 8SR, whose conduct has been nothing short of disgraceful and deeply distressing.

Upon receiving the keys to the property, they were shocked to find the home in an appalling state—filthy, unsanitary, and completely unfit for habitation. The property was littered with rubbish, infested with flies, and still contained personal items from previous occupants. Despite repeated attempts to contact Milegate Rental and request urgent cleaning and removal of these items, they have refused to take any responsibility or action.

This negligence has left my sister and her son effectively homeless, with nowhere safe or suitable to live. I have photographic evidence documenting the property's condition, which demonstrates unacceptable standards and a disregard for tenant welfare.
Milegate Rental’s behaviour is not only unprofessional, but it borders on fraudulent. They are operating under the guise of a legitimate rental company while failing to meet even the most basic obligations to their tenants.

We strongly urge that Milegate Rental be investigated and removed from platforms such as OnTheMarket to prevent further harm to other families.

Terrible experience with Properties on…

Terrible experience with Properties on the Market. I moved out on June 13th, and my contract ended on June 16th. Despite numerous calls and emails over the past 20 days, I still haven’t received my security deposit. They promised to return it by July 1st, but it’s now July 3rd with no response. Very unprofessional.
