According to Companies House, Proofcam dissolved as of Jan 2023. Need I say more?
Like many others I ordered the free dashcam, which has now been cancelled. Appears that it was a scam to harvest information to be sold on to third parties. Avoid this website! Update: I've been re... See more

RAC 05 GPS dashcam ... {Tina she deserves a medal}
I have a RAC 05 GPS dashcam which was working well when my car windscreen was damaged by a large stone thrown by a passing lorry. During the windscreen replacement some of the tiny fittings of the dashcam mount were lost.
The original supplier, RAC, were unable to help, as it was not the current model, but said that "Proofcam" were their suppliers.
At Proofcam customer services... {Tina she deserves a medal} was extremely helpful and explained that although the model was no longer in production she would see if she could find some old stock and look for the components I needed. I subsequently received the required components (free of charge) in the post and am delighted to report my dashcam is back up and running. Excellent service.Go to the top of the class.
Non-existent customer service !
I purchased this camera back in 2016 as it was being promoted by Nissan and their dealers. It has been a very good piece of equipment, well designed, if a bit fiddly to use, but I would still have given it 5 stars. However, the so-called customer service at Proofcam has been abysmal and lately, non-existent. In the early days when I was having difficulty downloading camera database updates I had reason to telephone the company and had to speak to a very rude, aggressive woman to whom the word "help" does not appear to have crossed her mind. It is now impossible to download the latest database as the link on the website doesn't work and you are taken to a purchase basket page as if you were buying an accessory with a Nil price. No-one answers the telephone or replies to emails. I have tried to discuss this with the official RAC shop (as the equipment is marketed under their name) but sadly, they don't really want to know as the dashcam wasn't bought from them. One has to conclude that this company is no longer trading; a perfectly good piece of equipment is about to become redundant.
Avoid ProofCam...Poor product and custoemr service is a joke!
Purchased from QVC. SD card damaged whilst inserting into camaera as there is a gap between SD tray and camera housing - bad design. After several months the GPS went off and I also lost camera alerts. Battery lasts matter of seconds once ignition switched off. Unable to update safety cameras as will not sync with PC. Emailed support (as there is no telephone number) and after 7 days "Judy" responded with 1 line response directing me to their web page to buy a new camera - they never asked when i purchased, serial number or anyhting. Absolute joke of company. Would never buy anything from their company again and have told friends etc to avoid.

This company are not treating their customers properly. I own a RAC 210 dashcam. I notified them the link to the November 2018 Speed Camera download was not linking with any file. They sent me an email with the file attached which I was pleased about. However, I have checked the website weeks later and the link to the November 2018 Speed Camera Update for the RAC 210 Dashcam still doesn't link to any file. They don't seem to be concerned to make sure the Support part of the website runs smoothly for all their customers who purchased their products from QVC or Proofcam Disappointed

I bought a Dashcam from this company
I bought a Dashcam from this company, A few weeks later after driving for about 3 hours I decided to stop for a rest and took out my Dashcam and thought I would take pictures of my car. When I turned the Dashcam on, within seconds it started showing low battery and turned off. I tried several times to turn it on but each time it would turn of stating low battery then go off. When I called the company I was told in a most unfriendly manner that the camera will turn off once the connection to the car power source is stopped. I tried to inform this female that the handbook states that the camera has power for about 10 minutes in the event of an accident and that pictures may be taken in the event of an accident. This young woman was having none of it and told me that the camera will not stay on after disconnecting it from the car power supply. I decided to reformat the 32mb mini card and guess what? it stayed on for nearly 15 minutes. This young woman has BAD ATTITUDE. Give ProofCam a Miss. PLEASE

RAC 225S dashcam camera
I bought an RAC 225S dashcam camera from this company (Via QVC), and have had endless problems getting any response from them.
QVC have been brilliant and as they have not been able to get a response from Proofcam they have sent me a replacement camera.
The build quality is poor, it broke as I installed it, it wont download updates etc etc etc.
I have now sent over 14 emails to Proofcam and the 2 responses I have had from them are a joke, they sent me the wrong part, and don't answer my queries, I would avoid this company like the plague, you will be wasting your money, they are pathetic, Ive just sent them another email.
