Not fit for purpose

The website was excellent and really easy to order from. I made my purchase basedon the long warranty and price. I ordered a shed and summer house. The felt on both are very thin. My shed and summer house were fitted november and December 2025 by a contractor who renovated the garden.

The summer house looks very impressive. However it was only now its drying out. On inspection the summer house has a design fault. The double glassed doors and windows are too heavy for the frame. It is very difficult to open the windows and doors. I contacted the company showing photos that the doors had worped and dropped. I had it inspected and sent of lots of photos showing the problem and requesting a solution. Upon inspection I was advised the summer house doesn’t have the strength the support the weight of the doors and windows. The hinges supplied cant be adjusted and are too short to support the weight. I had a reply for the company asking if I can painted the shed as wood can worp. I replied that it is pressure treated timber and that the issue is the weight of the doors and windows cant be supported by the frame. I’ve received no response to my email. Looking into the company in more depth Ive found there are fb groups of people who have raised issues of quality and not had a remedy from the company. Avoid at all costs as the summer house its cheap rubbish thats no longer fit for purpose after 6 months. I expected better from their customer service team

Poor quality 20x10 shed

Poor quality 20x10 shed, paid £3500 for a pressure treated shiplap shed for our football teams equipment. Delivery day was agreed and help was organised to help unload and build. Was then told delivery wouldn’t be possible and would have to be in a weeks time. Roll on a week to delivery day, no contact from project timber so I do the chasing and I’m told the shed is only an hour away, an hours passes, no phone call, I chase again only to be told the lorry has broken down and delivery won’t be possible for another week 🤔. Eventually get the shed after messing volunteer helpers around for 2 weeks. Assembly day wasn’t much better, after laying all the panels out, the floor panels were badly warped but accepted this can sometimes happen. What we didn’t expect was the floor base to be too big so when putting the wall panels up there were big gaps so the floor panel had to be cut so the rest of the shed would fit. Eventually got it built but I would even bother with the roof felt as I think tracing paper would rip less. Gaps in the pre assembled wall panels just generally very poor quality for the money. We won’t be recommending Project Timber to anyone if they need a big shed.

Awful product!

Awful product!
Not a single panel was square, had to do work-arounds for every side / face / roof panel / door... and the windows are shocking!
The delivery guy was fantastic though!

Great quality and value for money.

I recently purchased a D100 20' X 6' shed and cannot rate it highly enough.
Craig the deliver driver was brilliant, helping me get all the panels down the sideway, and they all arrived without a dent or mark on them, all clearly ticketed with exactly what they were (IE roof piece, side panel etc).
The end result is far above what I was expecting.
My builder put it together for me and was so impressed, told me he was ordering one for his other half as she was extremely impressed from the photos he showed her. If I ever need another garden building, I'll definately come back to Project Timber.

I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience with Project Timber after purchasing a garden shed from them. From the start, things went wrong—several items were missing from my order, including a window and a door. When I contacted customer service, they were unhelpful and quite rude, and they couldn’t even provide a clear date for when the missing parts would arrive.

To make matters worse, the wood that was delivered was damp, which is completely unacceptable for a product like this. The delivery driver also made no effort to assist, refusing to place the materials in my back garden, which made things even more difficult for me.

Once assembled, the shed itself was poor quality, with noticeable gaps in the structure. I raised these concerns, but the company showed no willingness to offer any form of compensation or resolution.

I explained that I had just moved house and needed the shed urgently for storage, especially as I have a child with special educational needs at home. Despite this, there was no understanding or support from the company.

Overall, this was a frustrating and stressful experience. I would not recommend Project Timber to anyone.
