So they cold call after intercepting a posting on checkatrade (turns out they don't have an account on there themselves, investigation ongoing as to how they got my details).

Gave me a "quote" for an "emergency callout" (job wasn't remotely an emergency. I politely declined however this was treated them as accepted so they whatsapp messaged me a confirmation . I immediately declined and said to cancel the appt.

Next day got several calls of a pushy woman confirming an appointment and then started threatening me with "charges" if I don't allow the trader (who apparently can't be cancelled) into the property. Claims the WhatsApp is "handled by someone else" (not my problem if their own management doesn't work and kept on screaming down the phone at me.

Ended up having to block the number, nobody did show up thankfully

Afterwards spoke to checkatrade who are investigating how they were able to access the job posting on there as none of the companies it was sent to have anything to do with these clowns.

Did some research they are not a registered UK company (based in Ireland in a flat?) , not an actual tradesman company (just extortionately charge people to "introduce local trades people) , uses virtual mobile phone numbers that aren't returnable and are to be honest borderline fraudulent.

If you get called by them politely decline.

In the space of one day they have called themselves "Professionals 24", "Direct 24", "Professionals Immediately" among others.

3 hours in and still waiting - now not responding to what’s app messaging. Told issue had been referred to Area manager. Don’t believe there is any management with this lot

I had a slight leak on my boiler so was put in touch with this shambles of a company. I was told a plumber would turn up in the hour. 4 hrs later he arrived. Within 2 minutes of looking at my boiler there was water spraying from it. It was clear then he didn't have a clue. I knew what part was faulty but he didn't even attempt to fix it temporarily. He told me I need to order a new part. He left within 35mins and I got charged £216. A couple of hours later I realised we had no hot water or heating. It was working before he worked on it. He hadnt re pressurised the system. With a small child this was not good. I called the company back 3 times and got told an 'area manager' would call me back. Im still waiting. I've had to pay another plumber to rectify the problem I was left with.

PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS....

Found l had an issue with my boiler, no hot water but managed to sort this, then the heating wouldn’t turn off even though it was already off
Panicking l called the first number l found what a massive mistake
I rang at 12.56 on phone 3 mins booking the visit, went to reduce the temp on my thermostat the boiler went off and righted it self
I rang back at 13.03 to cancel the call, checked everything was cancelled was told yes
Went out to Tesco shopping returned home to a plumber outside was told by the call centre l had spoke to someone at 13.21 to confirm the plumber could proceed, this was a lie, had numerous missed calls but never spoke to anyone
Eventually spoke to some rude woman that advised me they had spoken to my husband on the phone, l had my phone with me, and besides the fact is l don’t have an husband, then she proceeded to advised me she spoke to him on the landline, l don’t have a landline
This made to put the phone down, l wasn’t willing to be lied to

Sadly I'll add to the list of 'Avoid' messages. Had a leak in an isolation value and just grabbed the first 'local' plumber who could be here quickly before I read any reviews.... :(

You get messaged by Olivia which is actually an AI Bot in Northern Ireland (so not the local plumber the google search came up with)

A Plumber did arrive in about 45 minutes - but this was a bloke with a spanner and little clue what he was doing (on the phone to his mate asking how to turn off the water...). replaced the value in about 20 mins and I paid him £115 cash as his card reader wouldn't work. I didn't realise that he had twisted all the pipes connected to the valve and broke the seal at the next junction - so an hour later I had another leak further along the pipe.

This is when I realised that Olivia was an AI Bot who after a series of messages thanking me for my update, then just reverts to 'you will be contacted by management as soon as possible - Thank you!' again and again and again.

Direct 24, Professionals 24, Just Ask Alex and all these 'front' companies just "assist the technician and customer in managing an appointment" i.e. the bloke with the spanner is responsible for the work and invoicing (cash remember!) and I have absolutely no idea who he is

It's unqualified, rogue traders getting emergency bookings but you have no idea who they are and no comeback on them when they make things worse.

Avoid or feel stupid if you don't...

I would strongly advise you don't use this company. If you have already booked an emergency and are reading this while you wait for them, keep calling around for someone else instead.
I booked an emergency call out last night, was quoted a ridiculously inflated price but the urgency meant I felt I had little choice. They say you agree to a contract when you accept the call out, but if you check their T&C this actually isn't the case because they do not follow their own contractual obligations at the time of accepting, making it null and void.
Not that it mattered - no one came. No call, no explanation. Just nothing.
Not what you need when there's water flooding into the plasterboard and floorboarding.

Use someone else.

Contacted this company for an emergency electrician as the socket circuit was causing a trip. Normally I would check Trustpilot immediately for something like this however, regretfully so, and due to the immediacy of the situation I did not.

I called the number looking to book someone and the phone was answered in typical call centre fashion. I was asked for a brief outline of the issue, provided an address and was asked whether I used WhatsApp for the number. I was then asked for a name, provided an obvious first name only and was then referred to as "Mr. X," which again was strange, surely they would need a last name for an invoice. The account is "Professionals 24 by Direct 24," which is not what the business is actually called.

A message was then sent to me from someone called "Olivia" who was definineitely not an Olivia, and the person on the phone asked me to message back "Yes," to the message which upon another read through tries to imply that you agree to all terms and conditions on the website which doesn't even work. I was told there was a 30-60 minute estimate for a "technician," which was strangely fast for midday on a Saturday.

Having managed to annoyingly fix the issue myself I contacted the number again within 10 minutes which conveniently didn't connect, so I messaged the WhatsApp account asking to cancel the appointment. I could understand a legitimate business being upset but upon reading the reviews here I decided that cancelling was the best decision I made.

The account told me that a "Manager" would contact me, now referring to me as "customer" instead of "Mr. X." Minutes later another individual called me, reaffirming to me that the level of background noise and other persons talking could only be from a call centre NOT based in England. The person stated they were from the "Emergency Services." That was it. There was no doubt in my mind that this company was fraudulent.

I broached this immediately and the person tried to backtrack in what they said. I told the person over the phone that I wish to cancel the appointment and would not be paying a penny. The person on the phone tried to argue that I agreed to the terms and conditions "with my voice," which I stated was not the case, I wasn't informed of any terms and conditions via the telephone and received a message asking to agree to something not even listed in my name.

I hung up the phone, they tried calling back so I blocked the number. I screenshot the WhatsApp message, blocked and reported for fraudulent activity and have made an Action Fraud report.

All persons who read this - DO NOT ENGAGE WITH THIS COMPANY. It blows my mind why Google had this as a sponsored result. Definite scam. Avoid.

Edit - upon further research they also use accounts as Emergency Services 24, Plumbersimmediately & Direct Professionals 24.

Without a shadow of a doubt this is the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of stumbling across. I needed to remove 5x light fittings and restore to pendants because I was moving out of my lovely new build and wanted them safety checked so everything was in order legally. I could not hear the person on the phone as there was a lot of background noise like being in a busy bar but I asked repeatedly how much would it cost to have the lights tested. They said £180 and I said ok. Then I sent them a text on WhatsApp showing pictures of the 5 lights to be tested and how much would it be to remove and restore the light fittings back to a pendant and they said the same price. I said ok. None of this was confirmed in writing only what I could hear with a noisy background. If I tried to call them it went straight through to music and no one ever answered. The next day the electrician turns up nearly 2 hours after was originally scheduled so nearly 11am. When he did arrive he spent most of his time chatting to me rather than getting on with the work and I did not question why he was checking the whole house of its electrics which I hasten to add is a new build and did not need an in-depth inspection because I have a 10 year guarantee. Nevertheless I did not question what he was doing as I thought that his job. I was at the same time trying to get on with packing for my house move because I am starting a new job next week and will have less time. When it came to payment he said you will agree I have been here 5.5 hours - well yes because he kept talking to me all day for a start and because he did more work than I asked. Then asked me to calculate £180 x 5.5 hours which made £1100! I said no way if I had know it would be this much I would have refused the job. I told him I was taking the lights so I could use them in future as they had cost me a fortune and because the buyers had knocked me down £15,000 when there is nothing wrong with the house it is perfect. I can’t afford that and I told him at the start I had not been working for 3 months and was keeping the lights to save money. Then he got the various people from this cowboy company Professional 24/7 which is anything but who ranted, harassed and bullied me if I did not pay the money he would stay in my house until I paid it and she would add more charges for his time staying until I did. She told me I agreed to this and proceeded to play a load of noise for a couple of minutes claiming it was our conversation and claimed you could quite clearly hear me giving consent. Even the engineer said he could not make out what was said. I could not make out anything but she said I need to pay regardless and I was taking all over her but she was talking all over me every time I said I did not agree to any of it. Absolutely disgraceful conning people when they are at their lowest and being aggressive and thuggish in attitude but the electrician said it was nothing to do with him. He did not shut up for the whole time he was there and was not working while he was talking so why should I pay someone. £180 an hour to talk to me? This place should be shut down immediately and investigated. By the sounds of the other reviews they do not pay tax. Am reporting to trading standards. Worst day of my life stumbling across this clown of a company. Please avoid at all cost and seek advice from a trusted business.

Please AVOID this company and find yourself a trustful plumber. I think this company is very untrustworthy. They quoted us £144 for them to come out but when they came out charged £172.80 For just the call out before the job! They then did the job but over charged us. Then proceeded to give a fake invoice with no VAT. It feels like this company is committing fraud and are taking advantage of people who have no knowledge on plumbing for their own gain. It feels sad that this company is getting away with abusing peoples trust and making a lot of money out of them!! PLEASE AVOID THEM!!!!!!!
When it came to making them accountable they blocked our numbers to avoid us!!

This ‘outfit’ are absolute rip off merchants taking advantage of the elderly. My father has had a stroke and is 88 yrs and not able to think clearly and paid £900 to fit a shower unit. 4 hours work. No receipt and no guarantee. Avoid them at all costs. I expect any decent review below is fake. Will be reporting them as con merchants.

Steer well clear. A bunch of shisters who charge you an inflated fee and when you try to cancel after nearly 3-hours say you have to pay a cancellation fee of £150 that will be invoiced if you don’t allow access. They didn’t mention any of this to you or provide details of their T&Cs.

Told me £140 call out charge and they would fit the tap within that hour, they took 2 hours and had the check to charge me £290 to fit a tap!!! Very misleading and terrible service. Also said plumber would arrive in 30 minutes and took 2 hours.

The fault fixed was a temporary solution and my actual fault is still there.

No call back from the company to offer further help.
I won't be using them again.

It seems professionals immediately have responded with a generic response, which tells me they do not declare the income they are generating as they say that they cannot find me on the system. I do not know how they can locate me on their system as they havnt got any of my details apart from my home address where they sent the electrician. the website I found these guys was on : professionalsimmediately.. Steer well clear next time, I even got their business wattsapp which is: 07418 352476. Since 12th september I was supposed to recieve a call back which of course hasnt happened. They have taken my money and didnt bother to find the cause of the fault.
My problem has been fixed by a trust worthy independent electrician who diagnosed and fixed the fault for less then what I was charged by professionals immediately.

AVOID! “Avoid at all costs!! Worst Company in the Country. Their only interest is to book any customer who calls them without consent for appointment and then they force book appointment for the next day and they try to charge you cancellation fee if you don't agree and cancel it. This is a fraudulent company. AVOID AT LL COST.
This is a media advertisement company holding local tradesman hostage to a %50 commission. They way they treat their costumers is vile and unacceptable.
I wouldn't give even a star but there is no 1/1000th of a star to place here.

Avoid , absolute cowboys who can’t communicate properly and asked me to negotiate the rate with their subcontractor who was actually really good. They promised a plumber within 30-60 minutes but it took them almost 2 hours whilst my downstairs was flooding. Avoid at all costs and work with another emergency plumbing company

I have used this companies emergency electrician service in London on Saturday. Jay was the electrician that arrived and was very pleasant. He arrived at 1am just 35 mins after calling for the service. Found the cause of the problem and charged what they agreed on the phone. Highly recommend this place. Go to emergency electrical service in London.

If you have issues with the tradesman that arrives, they are subcontracted to these guys.

These guys will get you a trades person for what you need. Time of arrival and quality of work is down to the trades person they send.

I give these people 5 star because they do there part of the job well. They have multiple engineers of all types all over the nation. They are great to talk to and will try there best to get you an engineer as soon as possible.

Stay away from them if you are a business. They don't provide invoices. I have asked them to provide this every single morning for the last six days. The only answer I received was "Apologize, I will do it". Still don't have the invoice.

This company is also linked to Direct24Webadvertising and emergencyservices24.co.uk, routinly charging "Plus VAT" despite no UK company registration or UK VAT registration. Stay well clear of any of these 3 companies
