This company should not be allowed to trade it misleads buyers into purchasing there products.
They do not show any clear guidelines that you have joint a membership and unless you call them they will go into your account and take money without any warning. I believed l was buying the product under a three month payment plan, but to my horror l saw an unexpected charge on my card. On contacting them they told me it’s a membership which is ongoing unless you cancel. I told them l don’t want anymore of the product the advisor said the item had already been sent l have not yet to receive it so it can be returned for a refund. Even though they have told me they have cancel the membership l have also instructed my credit card company not to give them anymore money if they try to attempt to get further payments.
Please be careful don’t buy any products directly from this company they are not upfront and trustworthy with there selling tactics

Worst company! AVOID!!!!

Bought 1 month supply and they hide in the small print they put you on a subscription for 3 months and refuse to refund or accept return.

Should have read the reviews before trusting the company.
Obviously they have very fine print stating that you sign up to regular packages upon purchase of a 30 day trial - in order to trap you into the scheme.
To cancel this is then the most tedious experience I have ever had.

Finally after getting hold of someone via email, the response is blunt and rude and claims of the 90 day package agreement being visible on “multiple pages” before checkout, which, if you go through the checkout process, is definitely not correct.

On top of that the product is appalling - absolute waste of my time and money.

Like the other reviews have said this company is impossible to get hold of. After numerous emails that have not been answered and waiting in line for the live chat on 2 occasions for over 30 minutes only to then be told no agents were available and to email them (uggh) I tried to return the package by post only to be told in the post office its not possible as its liquids and gels and it would need to be sent by courier and this would be 40 euro. So I have got my bank to put a block on them taking more money and have emailed them to say they can collect the package from me. This has to be the worst company ever how they are still in business and getting away with this is beyond me

Terrible! I ordered the 30 day trial which was fine but didn't work for my skin. The following month my card was charged by proactiv and I recieved a 90 day package in the post. I didn't want this or authorise it. I used the live chat to cancel the subscription but was told I will need to pay the remaining balance, as it is debited monthly.

Don't sign up to the 30 day trial as it is a scam where you unwillingly sign up to a subscription, which is not cheap! I would have explored the other products that proactiv offer, but I will definitely be shopping elsewhere now.

Avoid at all costs. After the initial month, they overcharged on the next 3 month subscription, both on the item and the postage.
After no response on the phone I sat on live chat for 30 minutes only to be cut off after 30 minutes and told nobody is available and to try again later.
Products are not even anywhere near as good as they claim

Worst company I've ever dealt with.
No wonder not one REAL, not paid for review it more than 2 stars. Emails still being ignored after 2 months back and for asking for refunds, cancelled orders yet still taking out money from my account. Offered to send products back since their 'money back guarantee' states that I should be able to but don't want to give a return address or refund for the items that haven't been opened or used.
Worst customer service ever. Just want people's money!

Ordered the product, assuming that it was just a one time delivery (to be fair I did not read the terms and conditions). After receiving a second delivery, I called to cancel my order as I didn’t want any more products, and it seemed to be sorted. However since then I have twice had payments taken out of my account having not received any products anyway. Calling them has been no help at all as all they do is assure me my order has been cancelled.

Got this product and was under the impression it was 3 deliveries for £25 pound each turns out its £25 for the first supply then £75 each for the next two supplies when I rang to say I did not want any more it actually made my daughters skin worse they weren't interested and just wanted the money just said that the product needed to be returned for your money back within a time you would not know if it worked if you dont get the time to try it just beware of what they are really charging you

Wouldn't even give this company a 1 star review!!! Absolutely appalling customer service. I cancelled my "subscription" as I wasnt happy with the product but have had 2 further payments taken from my account for products I have not had....I have emailed 3 times as I am unable to call due to hearing difficulties and despite an auto response stating I will get a reply in 2 days I am still waiting a month later.

Spent ALOT of money on the 3 stage packet about 2 months ago and honestly haven’t seen any difference in my skin. Do not recommended, definitely not worth all that money.

Customer service is appalling. They sent me the wrong kit out and the kit they sent me they overcharged me for. I've sent them all the necessary paperwork and I have sent them 2 emails since and I've had nothing back in 11 days!!

I used proactive for over 1 month. When I started using it I had a fair amount of acne on my face. After a month of using this my face become red blotchy and really painful. I had more spots all over my face then I started with!! THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT WORK. My skin got so bad from using this product I had to make an appointment with the doctor. The doctor was not happy when I told them I had been using proactiv and they told me to stop using it immediately. A month later without using proactiv and using a simple skin care routine my skin has never been better! Don’t waste your money on this!! Absolute rip off! They will take money out of your account for things you haven’t ordered! The pictures they show you for their before and after examples , the before pictures the people have one spot!! It’s not a realistic advertisement on a skin care product!! Stay away!!!!

I dont agree that this product is 'rubbish', I've found it works really well. I do however agree with the appalling customer service. The fact that you erroniously get put on a 'plan'. The delivery I received (a 90day supply valued at nearly £100) detailed the 'plan' and the next 3 installments, but what they took out of my bank was a completely different amount and not on the date stated. I only ever ordered a 30 day supply. I am now locked in an email battle with them because they have agreed to cancel my non-existent plan, and if I return the products they will refund the payment but I have to pay £4.95 to return the parcel and I dont see why I should.

Anyone know what my rights are if any?!

The only reason they get one star is because I can’t give zero. Customer care ignores you. After cancelling account, they still take money from you. Chases you for balances that don’t exist in the hope you’ll pay to get them to leave you alone. Won’t respond to calls, email or Twitter. Stay far away from this firm!

SCAM!!! Don't waste your money !!
I bought the 30 day supply, the product was average no major differences shocking as how expensive and how little product you get. Next month I got charged and got sent a 90 day supply, which I didn't order and did not subscribe either. Once you place an order you are automatically signed up to their monthly subscription. I had no intention of buying more I wanted to test the product. It should be down to you to subscribe and buy more. I had no clue about the subscription it wasn't on my order receipt. It should be much more clear. Next thing I know a month later I yet again got charged and this time I wasn't even sent anything !!!! That's ridiculous. Proactives customer service are appalling aswell. We called many times and no one answered, tried emailing automated response was given. They claim it's easy to cancel and return and you can even return empty bottles well that's BS. It's all fake and a scam. They finally answer the phone and they are rude and sound shocked by me not knowing that is was an automatic subscription. They then say that after ordering the 30 day supply, the 90 day supply is sent on purpose but when was I told that exactly. They then say that the 90 day supply is worth £90. It was spread across the 2 months £45 a month. I have cancelled or at least I think I have, if the charge me again I will cancel from my bank. Not worth all the hassel or the money !!! Keep your money safe AVOID. You don't even get triple the product!! What a rip off !

This seems to be a common thread with ProActiv but trying to cancel a subscription I didn't know I was buying into and get a refund on products I no longer wish to use is like pulling teeth.

Chat service online; doesn't work.

Twitter; no response

Email; says I'll get a phone call. Never happens.

Phone calls; never picked up

I fully expect to get to my next unintended payment date without having had any resolution to my refund request. And then quite probably the next one.

The product itself is really not that good.

On top of this they keep taking money after 'cancelling' it. Avoid at all costs.

Newbie here! I've been using this product for a few days now and have noticed slight changes in my skin. I have been using it day and night, and haven't broken out since. I was recommended the product by my sister and she has had amazing results. I love the routine and plan to keep it up!

This company are a complete rip off, they have taken money from my credit card when I never received any goods. I’ve been trying to contact them for the last 8 weeks and nobody has got back to me and they still have my money- absolutely disgusting do not buy their products- shocking service
