Ordered parts canceled the order they reopened a new order and then refused contact and illegally took money

Ordered parts then found out this was a scam company and canceled my order.. they re opened a new order which then my bank stepped in and thankfully got my money back. They will also stop contact after the first week, if you fell for this company charge back before month 3 for best chance.

You are trash

You asked me to wait on my rack.. here we are two years later and you have not released the rack yet. I would have been an idiot to keep waiting. I was an idiot to trust you. You are a con artist and every chance I get I tell people about your shady business practices. I hope keeping my hundred bucks was worth it.

The 1.75 inch lift kit didn’t come with…

The 1.75 inch lift kit didn’t come with instructions but I figured it out and it tore up 1 CV joint within 200 so I replaced it with the kit from Prius Off Road, 1.5 inch kit. Seller bad mouth’s me and no refunds on a faulty product after they got your money. It’s an expensive boat anchor. Stay away from them’

All of our lift kits ship with printed instructions and a QR code that links to detailed installation videos. Additionally, no other customers have reported CV joint failures with our kits, and our internal testing has never reproduced the issue you describe.

We believe the problem may have been related to installation rather than the kit itself. Calling the product a “boat anchor” without acknowledging these facts misrepresents our work and unfairly damages our reputation.

I wish I could give 0 stars. Long story short. This company truly is a scam. (He gets really mad when you use that word :) but it’s true. Otherwise there wouldn’t be so many negative reviews. He owes me and countless other people money. Empty promises at every turn. We have been promised money since January 2023

Edit!!!! 6/27/24 Its a scam if you take people’s money and don’t return it. PERIOD!!! You’ve told us countless times that you were going to refund us. You even had us send you a zelle request for the money. BUT GUESS WHAT FOLKS? No refund! If people are still placing orders with you then you should have a few dollars in your account by now. Just pay us!!!!! Simple easy! There is no excuse. No other company could get away with what you have. Im not sure how your karma has caught up yet. I hope you have the day you deserve. ✌️

BEWARE!!!!! Always read the reviews!!!!!!!!

My name is Nestor. I ordered the low profile roof rack for a Prius C, year 2015. I waited for a whole month and never received anything. I understood there would be a wait too and this company even picked up the first time when we spoke on the phone, I asked if their roof rack could handle wear and tear, they made me confident it could. And nothing.... Emails, phone calls (5 on the 17th, 13 on the 13th, and the day I bought the rack and we actually spoke). I have read countless reviews now and realized this is normal and now to begin the fight and headache of GETTING BACK $1,000.00 DOLLARS. So its going to be fun. Do not believe the crocodile tears this guy gives, his copy and past speech he posts on many reviews. He will take payment but will drag his feet to isssue a refund. It seems he rarely delivers and when he does, its far into the future. He will respond to a review faster than actually picking up the phone and talking to you. Do not believe this guy. Get racks from somewhere where people are satisfied. It is a good lesson for me as to read the reviews and see what people are saying about a business!

Still no parts, no tracking number, no one answers calls or emails. Just responds to trust pilot with an autogenerated "We are no scam, like all companies we exper..." message. This company is most definitely a scam. Don't trust them

I never received it

I never received it! Luckily I canceled and had my bank get the money back for me! I finally got my money back after about 5 or 6 months after my order. They kept giving me the run around! I talked to one guy that said it would be a 30% restocking fee on an order i never received. They said they were going to move to a new system that didn't charge the customer until their order was shipped! My experience was so bad that I would not recommend this company to anybody.

I never received my item. Deceptive Business.

I never received my item and was ignored when inquiring about it.

Edit: Despite not mentioning scams in my review, TheBlackJimmyNeutron, the owner, spontaneously made such accusations. Curious. He acknowledges "longer than expected wait times," but I placed my order last year. When emailed he said it would be a few days, then weeks. then months, then radiosilence. He is running a clear scam operation called ghost stocking. He is intentionally selling items he doesn't have in stock, and manipulating customers to exceed chargeback limits of their credit card companies by telling them to wait indefinitely. He also quietly mentions a restocking fee on his website so he makes money even if customers return items (EVEN ITEMS THAT HAVENT SHIPPED) within the chargeback period. This practice is illegal under the CA Department of Consumer Affairs which the owner operates under and I urge everyone who has been wronged in this way to file a complaint.

We are no scam, like all companies we experience longer than normal shipping times. Currentely we do not have any Service Level Agreements in place regarding emails. Typically we find that most custoemrs when they place an order, they wait to receive their item. We don't understand how scam can be assiciated when there are longer than expected delivery times.

I can't believe this guy at 307 area…

I can't believe this guy at 307 area code is not from Jamaica. I ordered a $396 lift kit for a Prius on August 28 and it's now Nov 26 with no parts. I've called six times to get a eta and all I've received are excuses, kisses and promises. I can't believe priusoverlanding still keeps this guy around even if he's linked to them instead of working out of the back of his Prius. I've gone back MasterCard for a refund but haven't heard back.

Prius Overlanding Is A Scam!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Ordered over $1000 worth of parts that were "in stock" and after 4 months of waiting with nothing to show for it, and no response to calls, emails, etc. had to open a case with PayPal for a refund, which Prius Overlanding tried to fight which delayed it another 60 days so PayPal could investigate. Then they shipped 1 of the 3 parts which ended up not even fitting! Absolute nightmare! Do your homework and save yourself the headache of dealing with this company!

They ruined a 5 month journey of a life time

They ruined a 5 month journey of a life time. Here is how (lift kit review): :
1- I asked to ship the part to Mexico. They said that by the end of the day they were gonna make it possible.
After about 1 month and two weeks (and multiple attempts to talk to them) they never sent the package to Mexico.As a result I flew to USA to pick up the part ($115 on shipping within usa + part taxes to import to Mexico + i had to check in the parts for the flights, not included the plain tickets)
2- Once I got the parts in Mexico, 4 different mechanics said that they were not gonna install the parts because they did not like the parts (In addition, there are other professionals that do not recommend lifts bigger than 1.5 inches for Prius)
3- I asked the instructions on how to install the parts (asked more than 10 times, maybe more than 20 times) so I could find alternative ways to install the parts. Its been 5 months and until today I have not gotten the instructions.
Conclusion: I finished my 5 month journey (8500 miles + thousands of dollars invested) without the lift in the car, which was a major upsadt because it limited my capacity to visit the coolest places (which) was the principal goal of the entire trip).
It is not over yet.
4- I reached out to them to return the part. They said they could only refund the part if I was not able to install it.
I told them the story that I could not install it, which made me qualified to the refund according to their terms.
I am waiting for their reply for more than month and I have tried to reach out to them multiple times.
If I had gotten Priusoffroad lifts, I think everything would've been ok because they ship to Mexico and they don't hide installation instructions.
