Binding estimate changed after contract
We booked interstate moving services with Golden Moving LLC (Priority Moving Group) based on a signed binding estimate. After paying a deposit, the company stated that the original price was an “internal error” and attempted to increase the rate.
We made no changes to the inventory and asked them to honor the agreement. The company refused, stated that the original rate was “non-existent,” and directed us to accept a higher price or find another provider.
They also incorrectly claimed that we had requested cancellation and placed the move on hold after we disputed the charge instead of confirming performance under the contract. We remained ready to proceed under the agreed terms.
Public records indicate the company was formed in 2026 and operates as a broker with no apparent operating history, which makes claims of extensive prior experience difficult to verify.
We have filed complaints with FMCSA and the FTC and initiated a payment dispute. Recommend proceeding with caution.
