This was my first time visiting Primera for the purchase of a new bike.

I had an idea in mind of the specification that I wanted for a new bike, and as most people do I had shopped around and made many enquiries.

I settled on Primera and have to say the whole experience was fantastic, there were a few delays on parts, however this was not the bike shops fault - cycling has become so popular during this pandemic that certain parts had a very slight delay.
However I was kept updated very regularly and the parts arrived in no time.

I have subsequently purchased another bike from Primera and yet again received great service.

Worst customer service received ever,trying to find bike for grandson for Christmas,because I didn’t want to spend over £500 they weren’t interested and rude,should of read reviews on here and elsewhere before venturing in charminster shop

Known the guys here for several years, friends and work colleagues use this branch as it’s our local go to bike shop.

Went in and enquired about an almost £6K bike that was on display in their window. On discussion about the bike I was told I’d probably have to wait a year to get one as there is a shortage, (I wanted a medium frame, they only had one large in stock)
Fair enough... because if Covid etc I went online and found a couple of other dealers selling them and ordered the same bike in medium and it was delivered to me within 48Hrs.

I rang up to say I found one online and would like to order some goodies for my new toy, I ask if I could let them look after my brand new bike for servicing etc but was told no we can’t, we only look after our own sold units as we’re too busy.

Disappointed that I now have to go further afield to have the bike checked over for its 6 week ‘nut and bolt’ which doesn’t take long to do. I’m happy to pay, but they wouldn’t budge.

Come on guys.. you’re a main Cube dealer, I intended to buy local but was not able to.. poor show..

Cut long story story short,bought a bike worth over,,£2000 few weeks ago,all was great,being an old school veteran I wanted to treat myself and get good advice,total bill came to over £2000 with accessories etc,with lock thrown in as a good will,THANK YOU,I insured the bike of course,and was mortified when it was stolen on 3rd outing,,the lock given FOC was silver standard,when it should have been gold,insurance have been very helpful but of course won’t pay out because of this,crime number and photo included,my concern is the lack of contact through email,and post which has been dismissed,hoping I will go away,I understand I was wrong in not having correct lock,but really I was guided by salesman who through in silver lock FOC and say this will do the job,the customer service has been zero,please do not make the same mistake I did,or you will be just ignored,winton Bournemouth

Purchased a bike from Poole store with the assistance of Vince. The whole team within the store were more than helpful, giving advice and information about my purchase and helping me to select the right product for my needs.

Vince, in particular, was extremely helpful and provided a full bike fit after I bought the bike to ensure maximum comfort for when I decide to take the bike out, something I would recommend for anyone.

Having been out on the bike during the course of last week, I have to say it was absolutely fantastic and I started to enjoy cycling again.

For reference, I purchased an Orro Venturi Evo 105, which I was measured for before buying and purchased additional accessories for the bike including a new saddle.

For those looking for "bargains" online, you are missing out. I was given a great deal, with a fantastic bike with a service offering bespoke and tailored information. Not to mention a bike fit to ensure the bit is bespoke to me.

By comparison, when online, you may have hassle in ordering the wrong product, or it has arrived damaged. With issues in returning and then waiting for the items again. Not to mention missing out on great advice to make the most of your purchase. And if you're worried about the prices, I assure you, I got a great deal.

Primera Sports gives a service that is 2nd to none with no issues. I know I am getting great advice from the team, who are all enthusiastic cyclists, within multiple areas of cycling (Road, MTB and commuting), so the advice they give is "tried and tested".

During the pandemic it has been no secret that bike shops throughout the UK have seen a dramatic increase in sales.
The result is that bikes had sold out with little choice left for many that may have “been late to the party”.
I already had my bike, however required a bike fit, as I was led to believe that it was the most beneficial thing to do, above buying the best components.
I had been riding bikes fo years, however always believe it was a con.
Vince at Poole store and the team at Primera Bournemouth had convinced me otherwise.
Vince was brilliant, as lockdown lifted there was of course the concerns, however once everyone was satisfied it was “safe” we carried on.
Having spent the hour with Vince fo the fit, he showed me examples and techniques that i now put in to practice.
This information combined with the fit, from the cycle show and cleat adjustments, to the handlebars and the saddle angle, height and reach adjustments HAVE BEEN SUBLIME.
I was suffering with a knee injury from a work related injury, Vince was able to “tweak out” the issue, meaning I am able to put more power into the pedal stroke.
I also suffered from numb/ cold toes, after cycling longer durations, which had shone me off of cycling.
This again has been remedied with simple adjustments you would imagine to be otherwise hopeless.
The perseverance and determination in tweak even the silly little things I had as problems have brought the absolute joy to cycling once more.

First of all I would like to say a big thank you bill and the team for helping me with my purchase of my dream bike. Joe done a excellent job helping me with the spec I wanted on my bike and contacting me with regular updates on the build. When I collected the bike Steve the mechanic also help me with the basic set up of the bike like how to charge the battery on the bike and how to set the app up on the bike.Bill’s team done excellent job and I would recommend anyone who is interested in buying a bike to visit the shop. With the recent lock down I searched for a bike for over two weeks!!! No joy on probably the best part of 50 plus sites. Then a friend tagged a friend on a Facebook post of mine. My knight in shining armour contacted me with a bike that was un spoken for in his shop. And that was the day that Darren from Primera made my lock down. On top of that he was massively helpful with the extras I picked up and was friendly with his advice. Will definitely go out of my way to visit the shop again. 5* Thanks Darren.

Top notch team who all know their stuff when it comes to bikes, coupled with great service and always going that extra mile when it comes to looking after my bikes is the reason I’ve been a customer for years and will always choose them over online competitors.

Brought my first bike from Primera in 2006, brought several since then then. Always received great service from everyone in the shop. Had one issue with a bike which was quickly resolved under Warranty with Specialized. Nothing is to much trouble. You may get cheaper online but when it comes to fixing any issues or service work I would rather pay a little more knowing I will be looked after. The shop is always busy when i go in but Ive always been looked after as quickly as possible. As busy as they are they still find time to do great charity work and support of young riders in their race team. Will always be happy to support this great local shop.

An Aladdin's cave. All aspects of cycling covered and their knowledge and helpfulness is 1st class.

Would definitely recommend Primera to anyone looking for anything cycling related.

I have been buying bikes from Bill at Primera Sorts for the past 10 years and can honestly say that I have recieved nothing but first class service. I had a problem with one of my bikes recently and Bill delt with it and the outcome was way over and above my expectation!! (Lets just say Primera and Specialzed looked after me and made me a very happy customer despite my issue!!) Bill put it right to the top of his priority list despite being flat out with 100s of people buying bikes. The team down there always have time for me and as a result not only have I bought bikes for my wife and kids but just about all my friends have bought their bikes there and recieved the same first class service. You can possibly save a couple of quid buying bikes online but you can't and wont beat the customer service, advise and aftercare you get with your prize possession should anything go wrong .....(a very valuable lesson)
I can't rate Bill and the team enough. Also having a shop full of cycling enthusiasts makes a big difference.

I always use primera for anything bike related, their range of bikes is exceptional and they are always happy to build to a design and specification.
The knowledge and helpfulness of the staff is second to none.
Always happy to have a conversation about bikes and ideas as well as patient and supportive with any issues beyond my mechanical expertise.
Their prices are also competitive and they often have Products that no intense has.
